  1. i think it should be a good game, i would hope dorking bring the game to notts. i can see them having to do more running, so if we are smart we might tire them out. i think we are much stronger than when we last played them. we cant write them off but provided we create good chances, i can see us winning.
  2. i think if luke williams puts faith into brooks it will pay off, there is no point looking for another keeper when the lad from norwich cant even get into the first team. that loan is pretty redundant in my opinion. i think williams made a mistake by mentioning that the club are looking at other keepers, just praise brooks and leave it at that.
  3. i know some fans will feel frustrated but a point is better than nothing, langstaff salvaged our title race with it. bromley seem to know what makes us work, maybe today was that and a bit of pressure but i hope we do come back stronger. it sounded quite painful to watch at times, with nothing to much happening and i took away from the game that they can consider themselves unlucky not to have beaten us.
  4. langstaffs goal was very carefully placed, but the ball through by rodrigues was equally nice.
  5. i am partly surprised but then i did not realise how few games ed had played this season. i know people say hes too lightweight but i think there is a lot of promise there. with bostock its going to be hard to get in and we now have vincent wanting games too. so i should not be that surprised.
  6. 3 wins in their last 5 games, they seemed to dip a little before their win against torquay. they seem a side that can hold out for a draw but i am not really sure what i expect. i think with the run of games we have had, fatigue will be a concern but i believe williams will set us up to win. unlike ardley or burchnall, we are going for more than just a point so it should be an interesting game. with our fans selling out the away end i hope they can bring a lot of energy too.
  7. i have 110% faith in luke williams and this notts squad. notts needs to put saturday as far out of mind as possible, go focus, work hard and i am sure the points will come back with us. there has been a lot of hard work going into games, it cant be undone with one or two defeats in a whole season.
  8. i think its been mentioned that we can go again, its 2 defeats so far all season. notts have shown they have character and fight, we need to match it with passion.
  9. how notts gave them a way back in to the game was beyond frustrating, just so easy and i am disappointed that baldwin could not bite his tongue only to be sent off. he was probably just frustrated and maybe right but we need him on the pitch. the game was entertaining from the neutral, for us we have to grin and bear what is a very shocking performances by match officials who should not be allowed to referee a kids game. i dont want to make excuses but we were robbed due to the poor officiating.
  10. the referee played up to the cameras but both teams did well, though i would have hoped to draw.
  11. when i have seen them play, they try to play proper football but i have not seen them much this season. i do know they can get themselves back in games so notts will have to be at their best defensively. its more these games that make me a little wary than others, as a team i am sure they can adapt their style. it should be a good game. dont forget if you cant make the game, its live on bt sports.
  12. it sounds like the reedtz brothers have built some good foundations for us, the communication between them and the manager. just generally do what is right for each other. considering the past managers other owners have hired, i have full faith in them because so far its 2 in 2 for the reedtz. they have done so much more than building false hope or using the club as a means to pal up with ex premier league players.
  13. these things tend to be a joke though, someone will get the higher up job and just be a stooge for the fa or whoever. we need football minds coming in and helping, with people who understand business. its about time english football acted on the amount of shoddy owners clubs have had but it needs to be carefully planned out. with people who are unbiased and care about football, not hidden agendas.
  14. i like the signing, i think hes a good player but notts have hyped a loan player that people will see that his level is this league. i do hope he does well, much like jodi jones.
  15. i thought notts showcased some of their best football night. it was very tidy and uniformed at the back, solid in the middle with determination to score. i like how we managed to get a 4th despite taking langstaff off. also i thought southend looked decent. i think they will make the playoffs, one of the better passing teams i have seen this season at meadow lane.
  16. the notts players delivered a exceptional performance last night.
  17. i thought it was destined to be a draw but when we score late in games, another tends to follow. maybe yeovil morale dropped enough to make the difference with bagging the other goals. maybe @GrannyPie gave them a whack with her walking sticks. i am just glad that we did not drop any points. hopefully on tuesday we can make it 7 wins in a row. wrexham are starting to leak goals left right and centre, so we have everything to play for. ????????
  18. thank you for all the kindness you have shown me whilst i have been a member of this site, i cant believe you have gone and it feels like my heart has stopped. i cant stop thinking about all the times you have messaged me on here or on facebook asking if i am okay just because i have not been around or that you just wanted to chat. i will always be your friend. take care of yourself in heaven granny pie. i will be checking on super every chance i get to make sure hes coping. i would hate for super to no longer be around i dont think i could if that be the case. take care ann ♥????????????

@super_ram @Chris I'm so sorry for your loss. Grannypie always came across as a lovely person. It won't be the same without her.

@liampie, your words are truly touching. Granny Pie had a unique and special bond with you, and it's heartwarming to see the love and admiration you have for her. It's important to hold onto those precious memories and cherish the good times you shared together.

I'm sure Super Ram takes comfort in knowing how much Granny Pie meant to you, and to many others. It's a testament to the kind of person she was, and the positive impact she had on those around her.

Let's continue to honour and remember Granny Pie for the wonderful person she was, and support each other through this difficult time.

  19. under the floodlights again! night matches are great. i fully expect barnet to throw everything but the kitchen sink at notts. they will probably watched footage from previous games and i hope they dont throw bodies into the box like chesterfield did for their equaliser. i think we just need to frustrate them by retaining the ball.
  20. i bet they feel silly for postponing the game because of their injuries/suspensions and manager being side lined. it was never to do with the pitch in my opinion. if they have frost covers they did a lousy job of protecting it. it just makes this victory all that more sweeter. the players did well, i liked seeing them acknowledge the fans when we scored or needed their vocal support more. 12th man!
  21. i would hate to feel the pressure leading into the game. it should be on chesterfield as they could be doing better themselves at times. its just with them being at home and our current form, i fear they might be the team to break it. i know fans will say this is a must win game but i would take the draw. i am hoping notts just works hard at creating chances.
  22. i am not sure we need another midfielder, i think we could have signed another strong cb to help tighten the defence up.
  23. i see another draw, because i think gateshead will want to take the game to us and with them being at home that should help. they have draw their opening games, so i dont think we should write them off, plus they lost their two main strikers and got good fees allegedly off us. that might want them to show that they can make the step up against one of the leagues better teams. if i was gateshead, i would push for corners and set pieces as we look no better than previous seasons. on the positive side we do attack quite well and that could lead to notts controlling the game.
  24. frustrating to lose the 2 additional points like that, but notts played well. both goals really should have been defended better, we are our own worst enemies when it comes to dealing with set pieces or pressure. i am happy with the point but do think defensively we need to be better, hope it comes with more games.
  25. @Fozzy frank vincent can be a huge difference when he starts, but we need to play that quick flowing football which he thrives on.
