  8. Does anyone remember Kyle De Silva? He played for Notts in 2015. A wave of young players came to the club, but he was gone by the end of the season. He signed for FC Eindhoven for two years and then moved to Bromley in 2019. He was born in Croydon, so it was quite local for him. Now, he’s 30 years old and last played for Sevenoaks Town.
  9. Jodi Jones is an amazing talent. He always works very hard and tries to make the most of the time he plays. Since he came back to football, he's been very successful, and it's great to see. I think this award is the least he deserves. I hope he can add this award to his PFA Players' Player of the Season award and other achievements from his career. When he was 18 years old, he played for Coventry and was amazing. Now he's here, and he's still great.
  10. There are no signs of complacency yet and Notts are respecting the teams we are playing, none of the games we have gone into feeling like we are above them ultimately. Notts has just worked hard, and it's showing, as the performances at home have been very good. When you talk about making a ground a fortress, you need to let the results on the pitch do the talking, this is exactly what is happening currently under Stuart Maynard. I leap nothing but praise on the club for this fantastic start we have had so far. The players are really putting in the work and the training ground must be a joy to practice on leading into games when the results are coming.
  11. To be honest, I think some of those so-called fans will be eagerly awaiting our first defeat, so they can say Stuart Maynard out. More fans do seem to be warming to him, and that is important, but I still think some just dislike him due to his background not having been in professional football before coming to us and the fact there's a lot of effection to Luke Williams who would always be a difficult person to come in after.
  12. Well done, @BromPie. It's great to see you sharing your thoughts and comments. ????????
  13. It leaves room for Notts to establish a friendship with Sheffield United, whereby we might be able to pick up some of their talent. I am not saying this would happen, but it's something that could be worthwhile. It was good to see Jim back at Meadow Lane!
  14. Why was he even trying to handle the ball? I am sure that it would be frustrating, but you can't handle the ball [attempt to] or lunge in at the keeper. I do think that officials should warn teams to play, as it's a form of time-wasting and I don't like how teams take the ball to the corner near the end. It should result in teams being warned about potentially giving a free kick away.
  15. He means the show that had fans present, where they would speak. The league highlights now feel noticeably hurried. Was it Channel 5 that aired the highlights of Non-League football?
  16. I would have given it to Jacob Bedeau, take him out of the squad, and we would be quite weaker in defence and pushing forward. Curtis Edwards had a perfect game. I think he is proving that he's not a squad player but someone who is fighting to play as often as possible. David McGoldrick put in a steady performance and was quite involved, but take away his goals, he wasn't involved as much as Bedeau.
  17. Jacob Bedeau is an exceptionally defender, who does well in his recovery and from his positioning he always presses to win the ball or block it when he can. He's formed a very good partnership, not only with the defence but with the midfield and Alex Bass. There are certain players you watch who give you a natural impression that they are just a cut about this level. I can't see his performances dipping either, he was by far Morecambe's best centre back and his presence will be missed. Thankfully, our signing of him has given us a lot of structure at the back that we have needed for a while now.
  18. I wish they had included a dig at Forest, the West Ham reference was very funny! The whole skit was, but how can you not poke fun at them? They also overlooked mocking Spurs.
  19. It shows what direction Notts are heading, the club is being lifted by the Reedtz and the rollercoaster is just beginning and I mean this in a good way.
  20. Let's hope we can both continue to pick up. I would like to finish in the top 3.
  21. It is a pity that things did not work out for Will Randall here. With the players we have now, he would find it even harder to get into the team. I always felt that he thought he was better than he really was. He did not do much for us and was always injured. I hope he fits in better at his new club and tries to become more involved with the surrounding team.
  22. I am pleased to hear that he was supported by his family, being told ahead of time must have been exciting and allowed for him to prepare his family to come to Meadow Lane. That adds pressure, so the fact he was unfazed by the amount of fans in attendance and his family watching, shows the quality and calmness he brings to the middle of the park. It's nice to see his maturity, which is evident by how he speaks. It's nice to see him praising the team, but his performance was very good. It's encouraging to see how he progresses for us.
  23. Those 9 points are huge for me. I want to be in the top three by the next round. That's my goal! Well done to everyone, especially @super_ram for taking the lead, @liampie for his consistent start, and @Joshua for his early success.
  24. Well done, gaffer! Sharing some of the Faces of PON on Twitter with additional messages is a nice way to present the gallery. I am pleased for you, @Chris.
  25. Paul Devlin is a name I know from his time in the Premier League. Before I was born, he played for Notts County. I've watched clips of Paul playing and enjoyed them. I remember him playing for Birmingham City when I was young. My father told me he used to play for Notts County. Paul always looked like a reliable and determined player. I'm glad he played for Scotland.
