  1. I added my Twitter signature, which is a motto my father told me when I was 15 and expressed my desire to become a journalist. It’s a nice way to personalise your posts and make them more engaging for readers. Members should be aware that they need to enable signatures if they want to see them. If they prefer not to see signatures, they can disable them. Simply toggle to the option you prefer. Keep in mind that many signatures are actually quite interesting, such as @AmericanPie’s. I’ve included a link below for those who want to check their settings or add their own signature. https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/settings/signature/
  2. I would say something like, "Thank you so much for saving our club from extinction and bringing us back to the Football League. You have shown great ambition and vision with your signings and your support for the manager. You have transformed Notts County from a laughingstock to a force to be reckoned with. You are the best owners we could have ever hoped for."
  3. He’s a very good player and there have always been signs of his potential. I think he’s benefited from having consistent players around him who support his development. He probably wasn’t even on Guy Branston’s radar - Branston seems more focused on his own shoelaces than anything else!
  4. Will Ricardo Moniz work his short-term magic again? I hope his tenure lasts longer this time because he deserves success.
  5. I believe we’ll have a good season and that we, as fans, will play an important role in determining where we finish in the league. I hope those who complain when we lose games will focus on the bigger picture instead of declaring the season over after a single defeat. That kind of attitude makes us look extremely bad. If we struggle, I won’t cry or complain about it - instead, I’ll try to offer constructive criticism and support.
  6. If someone had told me this list in person without showing it to me, I would have thought it was either higher or slightly incorrect. He seems to do nutmegs just for fun!
  7. Rest in Peace, the Iron Sheik. Sgt Slaughter will be running the tributes on you.
  8. Welcome, @MagpieLane. I like your username! I hope you find the Pride of Nottingham to be fun.
  9. Hello, @calw_111. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, I hope you settle in well and join in the conversations.
  10. Welcome to you, @Sirrels County. It's great to see another new member join in.
  11. Hello, @Bigrossco1862. It's great to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham.
  12. Jodi has been instrumental in our promotion and I’m sure he’ll do us proud on the international stage. He has been a consistent and reliable performer throughout the season. He has also contributed to our defensive solidity and offensive flair. He has been a great ambassador for our club and our fans. I wish him all the best for his debut with Malta.
  13. I am surprised because he looked nothing more than average when he played against Notts, but there are far more qualified people out there to assess players than me and most likely Barnsley have watched him multiple times. Best wishes to him.
  14. I don’t know anyone my age who drinks at Costa or Starbucks or drinks coffee. I know some people who drink tea, especially lemon and honey. I personally stick to soft drinks, water and fruit juices.
  15. The victory in the promotion playoff final must have been a thrilling moment for the players. Their attacking prowess has clearly been a key factor in their success. However, it’s important to address the defensive vulnerabilities mentioned in the article. Head coach Luke Williams has called for increased proactivity and aggression without the ball, which is a valid point.
  16. We have to remember that the gaffer is modest and humble and doesn’t like too much praise, but I am delighted to see the site in such good shape and thriving even out of season. Normally, when @Chris goes on holiday the site goes quiet, but I think this time the forum kept itself active and lively, while he took care of the content. The site looks fantastic, and it’s getting better all the time.
  17. Hello, @Stuart jackson. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, we're a friendly bunch always keen to greet our newest members. Please do say hello, yourself. It would be appreciated to hear from you.
  18. Good luck to Tiernan Brooks. I hope he manages to start for Ireland’s U21s.
  19. He’s a good defender, but this is where the Nottingham Post comes in. You would have thought that Notts themselves would be trying to encourage the Post to reconsider Ollie King’s position. It will affect them too, not just us. Until somewhere reputable states that it’s true, I’ll wait and see.
  20. I am pleased for Tiernan Brooks on his call-up to the Republic of Ireland U21 squad. He will be flying to Austria to play in three friendlies as part of the build-up for the UEFA U21 Euro qualifiers. Tiernan has been brilliant and reliable as a keeper, and we are chuffed to bits for him. We wish him all the best as he wears his country’s colours and shows them what he can do on the big stage!
  21. This is a bad idea for both parties. McGoldrick should retire at a higher level, where he can enjoy his final days as a professional. He has nothing to prove at Notts and he would only tarnish his legacy by playing in a lower division. Notts should look for younger and hungrier players who can help us climb the table and challenge for promotion. McGoldrick should stay away from Notts, for his own sake and ours.
  22. I’ll check on it regularly, I don’t think it’s anything special but in a way, I’ll be following it. I’m also hoping that Boreham Wood gets promoted.
  23. Shaun Brisley was decent, no frills but did everything he could which was appreciated. I wish him well at Alfreton Town.
  24. @Fan of Big Tone wishing you both all the best! We hope that she has a positive recovery and is back on her feet soon. Remember to take your time and not rush the healing process.
  25. Today, I went clothes shopping in Manchester city centre; I don't fancy shopping for clothes, so as you can envisage, I had a list. I managed to obtain what I needed, along with some items for the flat. At home, I spent a few hours scribbling ideas for features for PON. I rang my parents, had a natter for about an hour. Now I'm relaxing, watching telly with my feet up and a tub of Ben & Jerry's. Tomorrow, I'll be going out for a few drinks with friends.
