  1. @Fan of Big Tone I think the same can be applied to @KingWilliams. The longer we retain our best players and manager, the further Notts should progress. I don’t think Williams will lose the dressing room; he’s too captivating for that. Welcome back @DeadlyMacca.
  2. Chrome for me, since, like others have said, it’s the default across multiple devices and the sync feature is something I find useful for work. There may be another browser war in the future, but while all but Firefox use Chrome’s engine, it’s hard to break it for now.
  3. It’s a good insight into a lifelong fan, the backstory about being born in Stapleford and being part of a Magpie family. I bet he has seen many happier times watching Notts, so I’m pleased that we are on a new projection due to our ownership rebuilding the foundations to strive for success on the pitch. Fans like Nigel will have had those times when this peaks. I have seen limited success myself, but I do hope to be in the position when I’m older to share my story of being a Notts fan. This is fantastic - how he met his partner Sue is just one of those things that seems to be destiny rather than a coincidence.
  4. As of yet, all we know is that the club has extended the deal with Puma for 5 more years after this season ends. This means we can speculate as to what the shirts might look like. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of either the home or away shirt last season, so I’m hoping for more of a traditional home kit. Juventus and Newcastle have both shown that a black and white kit can be creative, look different and escape those boring claims that there’s not much that can be done with the colours. If this were true, it would be the same for every club, with every colour. So what is it that you like about Notts shirts, both home and away? What previous season would you ideally like this season’s home and away kit to look like? Personally, I like broader black and white stripes - not just a few like the 2020 home shirt, but multiple ones like we had last season. More traditional, with no collar and parts of yellow or gold trimming. It would be nice to finally have a yellow away kit - not too bright, but with hints of Nottingham green along parts just to add subtle detail.
  5. Good thought for the day, @Fan of Big Tone. I think it’s the perfect quote for a lovely Sunday like today. We have to focus on the positives.
  6. Neal Ardley has transformed them from being an average team to one capable of reaching the playoffs. I was surprised to learn of his mutual release from Solihull Moors. I heard on Talk Sport not long ago that he’s linked with the Rotherham United job in the Championship. ????
  7. I have some, around 7 home shirts and about 3 away ones. My favourite is the red away shirt we had a few years back, but I must admit I don’t often buy a new one anymore due to the costs.
  8. It’s a well-written interview. David McGoldrick seems poised and ready to start playing. The fact he mentioned that players can still play at an older age is right, but few can cut it at the highest level. His coming to Notts will hopefully be good for him and the club.
  9. Michael Owen’s goal against Argentina was special. I wasn’t born then but I have seen it many times and it’s unforgettable when you see it. Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Keylor Navas.
  10. Not yet, I have a sofa in my flat and a desk near a window overlooking a part of Manchester’s canals that I like sitting at when writing. I don’t get stressed if I have guests over and they sit down; they can sit where they like.

  12. Most of those shops I don’t know about, but I do recall Dixons being a close alternative to Argos. The variety these days is limited to one shop. Toys R Us was a nice shop to go and look around or pick up some toys. Smyths has a warehouse feel to it; toys and items are stacked on huge shelves that don’t come across as inviting or fun to look around.
  13. I don’t know what’s going on with Junior Morias. I know he’s a quick player that can inject pace. He can score and I think we’ll see him come on more out wide, especially if Aaron Nemane doesn’t sign his contract offer from us.
  14. Stone’s settling-in period will be crucial for his integration into the team. I’m sure his teammates will help him feel welcome and comfortable in his new surroundings. I don’t know enough to write him off; I think we should give him a chance. It’s interesting to see some of the valid points made, but we need to remember that a keeper has the most difficult task and that if the defence is no good, then he will concede. I think Tom Weal will be able to work with him and hopefully bring out his best game.
  15. Fixtures are standard to me, but the key is to start brightly and progress as you pick up good results. If Notts could repeat their unbeaten run, as they did last season but in League Two, it would allow us to see just how far this squad may and could go. What’s to complain about? We had to play each team at some point.
  16. It’s a good cup tie. I don’t really care about the EFL Trophy. It amazes me how people call it a tinpot cup but get provoked just because we get drawn against the same team in the Carabao Cup. I think it’s a good rivalry between both clubs.
  17. I’m spending the weekend at my parents’ house. I will head back to Manchester on Sunday evening, but I’ll be driven up by my dad who has kindly offered. I came down by train though. I am looking forward to having some nice meals, catching up and just taking the days as they come. On Sunday, my mum wants us to go round to see some other family members before I go back. I am very much looking forward to another family meal together with everyone.
  18. You haven’t seen it yet, but you plan to give it a watch. You think the show sounds interesting and it seems like something that would be right up your alley. You love horror as a genre and TV series tend to do much better with the amount of time they have to develop the show, rather than a film with heaps of jump scares and silly nonsensical plots.
  19. I understand that you have a few areas that need attention, but you plan to get to them over the weekend. You don’t want to add a cover image for now and that’s completely your choice. You used to have Neal Bishop as your display picture because he was the skipper you most connected with during your years supporting Notts, but now you have Kyle Cameron.
  20. It's great to see you joining in already, even better to see your introduction! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @NottsLoyal.
  21. It’s great to hear that Crowley wants to add goals and assists to his game. It’s always important to have players who can contribute offensively, and if he can do that at Notts County, it will be a huge boost for the team. He sounds like he has all the ability to make a positive impact at the club; he’s such an exciting signing.
  22. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the fixtures do look promising and I am pleased with the depth of our squad. There are some challenging matches close together, but I have confidence in this team. The away trips seem largely favourable and there are some great home ties. My only hope is that we can avoid any postponements during the critical stages of the season.
  23. Yes, Notts can do their own thing. The way Nottingham Council has conducted themselves is very poorly, and it should have been a forefront thing, rather than a second thought. I think this is even lower than that; they always treat Notts as if we don’t matter.
  24. I completely agree with you, @CliftonMagpie. Jodi Jones is pure class. He’s such a talented player and brings so much to the team. His technical abilities and vision on the pitch are second to none. He’s the kind of player that can change the game in an instant with a moment of brilliance.
  25. * Age backwards: 2 * Steak or Seafood: Steak * Italian or Chinese: Italain * Pepsi or Coke: Coke * Chocolate or vanilla Vanilla: * How many tattoos : No * Ever hit a deer: No * Last text from: My boss * Favourite season: Summer * Broken bones: No * Beach or Mountain: Beach * Dogs or cats: Dogs * Early morning person: I can be * Surgeries: No * Favourite colour: Blue * Have you ever flown on a plane: No * Beer or Wine: Beer * Mild or hot salsa: Neither * Waffles or pancakes: Pancakes * Smooth or crunchy peanut butter: Disgusting * Pineapple on pizza: Prefer other types of topping, but I can eat and enjoy it.
