  1. Hello, @Magpie Bill. I am pleased to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham site.
  2. It's always a joy, to be welcoming a new member! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @two for joy.
  3. What a legend! Rawlo deserves this new deal more than anyone. He’s been a rock at the back for us and a leader on and off the pitch. Can’t wait to see him in action in League Two next season. Come on you Pies!
  4. Connell Rawlinson is a brilliant experienced player. His passion and fight aren’t easy to replace. Younger legs could be useful, but having someone who will and can run through brick walls is equally important. I actually think his passing has improved; people said he just lumps it, but he’s adapted well to Luke Williams’ instructions on how he envisions Rawlinson playing.
  5. I spent the weekend writing. I had to bring home someone else’s work and focus on improving it in time for today, so it could go to the publishers. Although it wasn't the perfect situation, I demonstrated my willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team. I know the editor appreciated it; two other writers said they had plans. So yeah… Saturday and Sunday, I spent writing by the side of my apartment overlooking Manchester residents and visitors having a good time.
  6. I wish Truro all the best. They may face challenges finding good players due to their location, but players sign for clubs for more than just that. Players join for various reasons: a good upcoming club, staff, manager, fans, stadium, league level etc. All they have to do is fight hard on the pitch and get to the National League.
  7. I’m not a fan of Dortmund or Bayern, but I prefer Dortmund to win the German league. Many German clubs have tried to make the league more competitive, but it’s hard when those two clubs snap up any good young players. The rest tend to get picked by other European teams.
  8. I still think Ricardo was treated unfairly at Notts. Fans who complained about him didn’t understand what he was trying to do. The football was okay; attacking-wise it was entertaining, but he left behind a legacy of poor defending. It might seem harsh, but we’ve been awful ever since and it’s only just starting to get better.
  9. Macaulay Langstaff was never going to sign for Wrexham; the club wouldn’t sell him to a rival. No matter how much money was offered, it would kill the buzz generated from gaining promotion and send things back into complaining. We don’t need to sell Langstaff right now; if he’s happy we can tell teams to come back later. His value will still be high even if he has only one year left on his deal.
  10. Good to see you, @Zski. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  11. It's brilliant to see him returning home to his roots, where he has an undeniable connection with the club and the local community. His past experiences at Notts County were quite commendable, as he demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication during his tenure there. Surely, with this wealth of knowledge and genuine affection for his hometown club, he is poised to make an indelible impact. Wishing him all the best in this new chapter of his career, as he will undoubtedly draw upon his previous successes to transform the team and lead them to new heights. Cheers to a bright future ahead!
  12. It's a breath of fresh air to see two teams gain promotion that truly deserved it, isn't it? The animated table really highlights just how well we started the season and managed to maintain that pace, something that's not always easy to do. It's no wonder that we were among those teams that deserved it the most. When we play with conviction and purpose, we can really be a force to be reckoned with. It's heartening to see that hard work and dedication can pay off in the end. It's also a good reminder that we have to keep our eye on the prize and not let complacency set in. One thing's for sure, though, with the right attitude and mindset, there's no limit to what we can achieve. Here's to another successful season ahead!
  13. Well, I couldn't agree more! It truly is a crying shame to see Ollie go, especially considering the fantastic job he was doing at the Post. It's like shooting yourself in the foot, isn't it? It seems like the Nottingham Live (or shall we say, Lies) and NEP are only interested in shovelling out sensationalist news rather than fair, impartial reporting. I'm ashamed to say that it's becoming all too common in today's media industry.
  14. I'm absolutely delighted for Luton and their recent achievements! It's brilliant to see them moving forward with those fantastic ground renovations. I had a sneaky suspicion that Coventry would clinch promotion, but in my book, Luton truly deserves the limelight. This past season has been nothing short of a magical adventure for numerous clubs, and I wholeheartedly extend my warmest congratulations to Luton on their fairy tale accomplishments. Best of luck, Luton, and may this fantastic momentum continue onwards!
  15. Liam truly embodies the qualities of a compassionate and caring individual, making him one of a kind. His selfless nature and unwavering commitment to putting others first is a rare find in today's fast-paced world. His passion for helping others radiates through everything he does, proving that he has a heart of gold. The way @liampie consistently prioritises the well-being of those around him is simply inspiring and has a profound impact on the community. It's no surprise that his positivity and warmth have encouraged @Fan of Big Tone to rejoin and actively participate. With exceptional people like Liam, it's evident that our community is thriving, compassionate, and resilient. Thank you, Liam, for being such an amazing example of selflessness and living with purpose – you make a significant difference, and we're beyond grateful for your presence.
  16. At first glance, I thought I had stumbled upon a jolly grandfather who was trending for his infectious positivity. But as I looked closer, I couldn't help but notice the bow and arrow in his hand. And then I realised it - this was none other than the legendary Brian "Killer" Kilcline! He may have aged, but his spirit and skills remained as sharp as ever. I can't wait to see what other surprises this iconic figure has in store for us.
  17. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Black&WhitePIE. I am pleased to be welcoming you.
  18. Welcome, @Stuart McNeil. Its nice to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham.
  19. I must say, I was rather impressed with Jimmy Knowles' performance and, despite being a tad lightweight, I believe he could have been a solid addition to our squad. True, his build might have made it challenging to contend with more imposing defenders, but let's not forget that his nimbleness and technical skills would have certainly been an asset. After all, Knowles has demonstrated significant potential, and with the right guidance and support from experienced teammates, it isn't far-fetched to imagine him overcoming this particular limitation. It's a shame we didn't secure his signing, for he truly could have blossomed into quite an exceptional talent within our ranks.
  20. It's quite disheartening to see a club like Notts consistently squandering talent like this, although, fortunately, it seems to be a past habit. One could argue that the club signed him far too early in his career, not allowing him the time required to properly develop and flourish. His loan spell, whilst offering a decent platform for growth, evidently became a contributing factor to the predicament the team found themselves in that season. The oversight and inability to effectively nurture young gifted players have historically plagued Notts, and one can only hope that such missteps have truly become a thing of the past, as it would be an immense disservice to emerging talents in the UK.
  21. Hello, @HarryNCFC0. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Would you like to tell us about yourself, such as how long you’ve been a Notts supporter and who your favourite current player is? We’re glad you joined us, and you can expect a warm welcome from many fans.
  22. It’s unfortunate for teams in this situation, as it’s not the fault of the fans. Everyone knows this and it’s disheartening to see a club in such a dire state. Wigan could really use some assistance to overcome this, but I’m not sure what to suggest. The Football League, Premier League and F.A should come together to discuss measures to prevent these issues.
  23. This is fantastic! Depression is terrible and while I don’t personally suffer from it, we all know people who do. Some of them are the kindest individuals with hearts of gold who deserve nothing but kindness. Having their club support them could be a great way to help them through it. Mental health needs more support in the UK.
  24. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Ohh Tommy Johnson. We have a friendly community with plenty to talk about. Don’t hesitate to start a discussion - we could always use more of those. Expect a warm welcome from many fans. We’re excited to have you here.
  25. Congratulations to Adam and Kayleigh on their new bundle of joy. Macaulay is a beautiful name and a fitting tribute to a Notts County legend. Wishing them all the best for the future.
