What a great deal by the Blues. If him and Costa start every game them will rip the league apart. He didn't perform at Manure but he's had a year to get settled with the league and if he goes to Chelsea he is going to be up front with a partner who he can score goals or fun with.

Β

It will be the best close season signing imo if it goes through.

Welcome to PoN @therealnewarkpie and @mancpie.I hope hope you both enjoy your time with us.

I think I've only just noticed the Dashboard (unless I've seen it before and forgotten) but just wanted to say what a great addition it is to this site, well done @notts-joe this is another great feature to get the most out of the Pride of Nottingham.

1500 bras and knickers have been stolen from a shop in Germany.

Let's hope they're busted soon.

So, Ray mentioned this "Ricardo wants quality not quantity so our squad be be between 23 and 25 players. We have agreed terms with 2 midfielders and are just awaiting there return from holiday for them to put pen to paper. We have made a very good offer to a Championship striker who would be our new Hughesy, but if he doesn't sign we have others lined up. We are in talks with two pacey wingers that can also score and hopefully in the next week or so we can finalise these deals. There are a number coming in for trial the first week we are back and these are various nationalities. On paper and video clips we have seen they look quality but Ricardo wants to see them in the flesh before he makes up his mind on them."

Who do you think the two midfielders could be?

The interesting call, would perhaps be this 'Hughesy' like striker who's been offered a good deal. Any guesses on which 'Championship' striker this could be?

Also two pacey wingers have been approached, could one be Jenner?

What do you think? Let's speculate on this a little.

Welcome @martyn.malone, pleased to see you have joined buddy. Care to tell folks a little bit about yourself?

I think you will like our site, it takes some getting used to but its much like the Facebook page. I have tried to keep both as ways fans can relate too, so seeing another regular on FB make their way across, its fantastic. I hope you enjoy being a part of the PON community. You Pies!

Will we see more stability this upcoming season?

With all the changes, such as @erindoors taking over as the CEO, Damian Irvine's departure and of course Ricardo Moniz assembling much of his own squad, it makes me ponder if we will see more stability next season. Don't get me wrong, the foundations will always have to be accessed after relegation and I do personally think the footing for us will change into something more positive.

I am just trying engage what the current mood is and what the fans opinions are.

I wouldn't be so disheartened if next season we just focused on just rebuilding, provided we approached it in the sense of having a good go at League Two football. Under Moniz, we should see better football and on a more consistent level but I'm curious about how new players will settle, how much gates will impact the games, how much the background adjustments will take it's toll on the field. I'm not remotely worried but I very much want us to be a forward moving club and stability is the key.

If you read this, weigh up your gut feelings and join in the discussion.

Our roy playing for ireland in finland.......but no aki lahkinan for them.....

This is a great business idea for the guys who created it. It was truly loved when it was on TV and was a brill experience. Richard O'Brien made the show admittedly, but the fun of being actually involved is a great idea. I for one would love to go and be there shouting "grab the bloody crystal time is running out!"

The Crystal Maze. One of the all time fun tv programmes!

Just curious how many multi lingual pies we have in our community.

Β

I assume @DangerousSausage can speak German. I can speak a little French thanks to our many trips to that country.

Anyone else admit to knowing another language?

In todayÒ€ℒs instalment we begin by discussing the speculation surrounding a potential return to Meadow Lane for Ben Davies and the rumoured signing of Dutch winger Julian Jenner. We also touch on the latest behind-the-scenes developments at Notts, the Football League campaign to attract overseas fans to show support for their clubs, and a bespoke message for the Italian Magpies.

The episode then ends with an exclusive interview with Kevin Grealish, father of prodigious Notts loanee Jack Grealish, as he gives us his thoughts on the season just gone and his hopes for the Magpies next season.

How many do you think we have sold to date and how many do you think we will have at the start of the season?

I expect it to be around 2,000 myself and I do not see it raising much higher.

Let's have a punt on what colour it will be, @erindoors will have already had this sorted - as she once mentioned either on our FB page or within our community.

But I would like to see what folks here think.

What colour would you prefer and what colour do you think it will be?

I wouldn't mind a light blue or navy shirt for the away colours this upcoming season, we have had a rainbow of shirts in recent years and I actually liked them all. The pink one was a nice way to salute our Italian friends.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see it's return either.

What about you?

I bet @Dan is excited about the way in which the Staggs are building for the upcoming season, it seems they have a good approach to the type of players it takes to put a disappointing season behind themselves but also to bid for a brighter 2015/16 season campaign.

Would anyone here have liked to see Craig Westcarr return back to Notts? Thoughts on Mansfield?

Discuss folks.

@Dan has picked his best 10 pictures for the Notts County website, have a look here.

Β

@notts-joe, how about picking your best 10?

Do you think Pilks will be relied upon as our No.2 Keeper this upcoming season? Do you think he could still cut it within League Two? Would you like to see the club sign an young upcoming keeper or a steady reliable backup?

Let's discuss this and see your thoughts on PON to these questions.

England v Belarus U21 at Barnsley

Β

The lads played some good stuff at times, but ultimately struggled to break down their opponents blanket defence.

MOM Alex Pritchard Spurs, last season on loan at Brentford. Move over Andros Townshend, Ryan Mason & the like, this guy is better than you both combined, he's gonna be huge!!!

Cokayne Looking To Drive New Business Through The Doors

Official Club video here, interesting to see Richard speak about getting investment in. It is the way forward and I do think the club have someone able to continue where Damian Irvine left off.

Have a watch folks, discuss below.

So, contrary to the information put out by the club, Gary Jones has not yet been offered a contract by the club.

A bit shoddy of the club IMO, to keep these guys hanging on and not getting in touch. Gary Jones was a professional throughout, and I would say that without him last season we could very well have finished last. Not a way to repay his efforts.

Plus, it's deceiving fans as-well.Β

What are your thoughts on the possibility of Patrick Vieira taking over at the Toon?

Β

Let PoN know!

Went to this a few days ago expecing to see a whole lot on Notts. We didn't really get a mention!

Nothing about us being the first League club in the World etc...

Only one cabinet piece and that was a funeral card that fans could buy outside the ground in the early 1900's commerating the loss of the great Notts County after a bad run of defeats.

To find anything you had to type into their interactive screen and search Notts!

Β

It's only two weeks to wait now until the fixtures are released.

Β

Who would you like to see us play on the key dates?

Β

I personally would like a home tie to kick us off and a home tie to finish the season if we can't have both those options then my preference would be a home tie the last day of the season when hopefully the players can parade round the ground as Champions.

Β

I'd also like Mansfield at home on Boxing Day or New Years Day, that would ensure a bumper crowd as long as the weather doesn't postpone the match.

Β

What about you?

How do you feel the squads taking shape? Where do we need to focus now and who ideally could fill the roles required?

It seems each season we are one of the slowest to build, we need to address this in my opinion because the movement is what encourages supporters and the better quality out there is always likely to move faster. I think we are still seeking signings to convince fans we will gain promotion next year and these are the positions I want filling the most.

Goalkeeper

Centre Back

Right Back

Centre Midfield

Striker

Ben Davies could fill the CM role, he would offer cover too. Right Back, hopefully some someone between 22-27 with a bit of pace behind them. The keeper ideally not young but reliable at this level. I read somewhere Kristen Pearce us available as a free signing. He might do well with regular game time and less selfish partners a round him.

Striker upcoming would be nice, pacey and skilful. What are your thoughts?

Despite assurances there would be no job losses when the takeover by an American company was announced, Boots have announced that 400 jobs are under threat and consultation is taking place. My sympathies to anyone on here who is employed by Boots, having been made redundant 3 times during my working life I don't envy you the next few months of uncertainty.

Please give @Binghampiess a warm PoN welcome. Good to have you join us. I hope you enjoy your time with us.
