They don't appear to be in-form, quite a few concerning comments from some of their fans seems to suggest they're concerned about getting relegated. The manager also seems to be in denial about the performances they've put in, so on paper it would be close to us when we had Curle in charge apart from the relegation well to some extent.
Should be a great game! Hopefully 90 minutes of much improved, rather than 45 but Chris can make this count when he sends the lads out.
2-1 to us. Your thoughts?
Sadlad will be Gladlad tonight after Saddlers 3-0 win away, keeping them just above Notts and so close to a play off spot.
Feel sorry for the Shrews equallising in the 90th min after having a player sent off in the 37th min only for table topping Doncaster to score in the 93rd min.Heartbreaking!
Hartlepool score 3 against Crewe to help their survival prospects.
Bury, who Notts completely outplayed last Friday, win away at 4th placed Swindon.
There's still a long way to go and a lot of teams still have a lot to play for.
Cheeky (Kate) has baked and made a wonderful cake for you all on her own, she's actually very good at it! (she doesn't think so) I'm impressed tho!
Happy Birthday Dad! We'll be coming over at some point in the day, probably after Jakes finished and I think Kate said you would be out so. I hope you have a good day and PoN members of all walks of life take the time to wish you birthday wishes. You put a lot of time in around here and I very much appreciate it!

Hi Folks! Thought I would sign up on here for some good postings with you. I have seen some of Notts-Joe's posts on other forums and its because of this I'm here now! A Saddlers fan for 47 years and have been to Meadow Lane about 8 or 9 times over the years.

Hello, I'm David. I've been away from Nottingham for a fair amount of time now, although I still live in the United Kingdom. I frequently attend games, not many that I miss but I can't pretend to be a season ticket holder or anything. I also attend just over 50% of the away games but I never miss a local one. Now I need to admit to lurking in the background which I have on the site ever since (who I believe to be Joe) gave me a flyer at Hartlepool I believe. Very friendly guy, well spoken for his age. I look forward to taking part in the community when time permits

At the start of the season I don't think many teams would of considered this 'big' or 'important' but to Tranmere's credit they've been great this season, they've beat many odds and although some people think they're on the down now I personally do not! I think they've got a good manager who knows what each of his players offers, they don't have a bad side either. I think we need to remain positive from the game against Bury, hopefully that would of rekindled some of our players hopes.
We can't allow any side to break, attack and score so easily. Bury's goal was great but we allowed it to happen, so I'm hoping Chris see's we need to get tighter and man up.
I think the score could go many ways, though I think a draw would sum this up.
Goodluck Chris & the Lads. (Hope the travelling fans enjoy it)

Ok, it's time to come clean, I once visited the shitty ground! Yes I know it is a cardinal sin for a Notts fan but I feel better for confessing and hopefully it makes it better when I say I stood with the Everton fans and supported Everton.
It was 1967 and I was 15 and living in the Meadows and a big Notts County fan even then. The lad next door was a die-hard Florist fan and had a ticket to their FA Cup Quarter Final match v Everton. He was ill so he couldn't make it so he offered it to me. I went and as I say I stood with the Everton fans and supported them. I can remember how nice the Everton fans were and took me as one of their own, I wasn't very big and it was a massive crowd (all standing in those days) they made sure that I could see by clearing a way for me to stand at the front.
Florist won 3-2 but it was a great match typical cup tie, it didn't make me want to support the team from the dark side though but I have always had a soft spot for Everton since that day.

Recently I've been doing activities with a support group, amazing stuff as It's helped no end. Yesterday whilst playing cricket I went to hit the ball, turned and fell busting my knee in the process. (fully dislocated) I didn't let this put me off from doing the things I wanted, so glad too. I didn't miss the wonderful home win!
I'm now on bed rest guys, I didn't get to promote the site yesterday either. I'm only getting a few hours where I can sit up before I start to feel it.
Just wanted everyone to know why I'm not around as much. I look forward to my visits!
Have fun and enjoy being a community ![]()

Tomorrow night (friday)Notts play Bury who are stuck in the rlelagation zone.It should be a chance for Notts to pick up 3 valuable points and if they can put in a good performance in front of the Sky cameras it may encourage some stayaway fans to return to Meadow Lane.If Notts do win it will keep them in contention for a play off spot and put pressure on the other teams near the top. I hope to be attending.what will be my first competitive Notts match since Notts played Man Utd in the old first division all those years ago so they had better play well!!!

The lack of activity on the manager front seems to be odd, I didn't see it but apparently our CEO who's name escapes me (old age you know
) was interviewed on BBC East Midlands last night before the game and he said that Notts are in no hurry to appoint a successor.
Is it possible they are waiting for Neil Kinnock to get the sack at Leeds?
I'd love to have Neil back. Any thoughts?

This is quite funny, a Coventry fan phoned his radio station bemoaning the fact that Coventry had only drawn 0-0 with Crewe but apparently he left two minutes before the game ended and missed two Coventry goals.
Here is a recording of the phone in.

Un giorno come nessun altro - By Notts-Joe
Noi siamo in linea,
La nostra giornata, il nostro tempo,
41.000 in presenze,
200 viaggio lontano,
Storico e più preziosi
Uno come nessun altro,
Per ora siamo giganti,
Grazia da bianconeri,
Importante come l'orgoglio,
Come un lascito è il rispetto,
Noi suoniamo nei nostri colori,
Comune nel corso degli anni,
A differenza di nessun vincolo,
Siamo più piccola struttura,
Un giorno in Italia,
E 'come nessun altro,
Abbiamo fatto,
Alcune connessioni,
Amicizia ugualmente formata,
Magpies italiani sono nostri fratelli,
La Juventus è come la nostra,
Notts a loro,
E 'una parte della loro vita troppo,
Quindi grazie,
Si prega di venire a Meadow Lane di nuovo.
(Please excuse if this is badly translated I used google to do so)
Original Below; (inside the spoiler)
A day like no other
We stand in line,
Our day, our time,
41,000 in attendance,
200 travelling away,
Historic and most valued,
One like no other,
For now we're giants,
Graced by Bianconeri,
Important as pride,
As legacy is respect,
We play in our colours,
Shared throughout the years,
Unlike no bond,
We're smaller structure,
A day in Italy,
Is like no other,
We've made,
Some connections,
Friendship equally formed,
Italian Magpies are our brothers,
Juventus is like our own,
Notts to them,
Is a part of their lives too,
So thank you,
Please come to meadow lane again.

Ok so it seems Billy Davies was in Nottingham today....What do members think of this news?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/feb/06/billy-davies-nottingham-forest
Personally, I'm not his biggest fan. I don't understand why clubs bring back managers that they have sacked in the past? Sure unfinished buisness but still I can not see the logic.
Been a while since both Nottingham football clubs were without managers!
Hopefully he is definitely over the other side of the Trent as I wouldn't like him to manage NCFC personally

I'm Andy, aged 50 and have been a Pie since 1969'ish. I have lived in the sticks in Lincolnshire since 1996 but originally from the Cardale Estate in Sneinton.
My favourite all time player - Ian Scanlon
My favourite Goalkeeper - Eric McManus
Best game - Leeds 0 - 1 Notts - Oct 8th 1975 - Super Notts!
I'm now a Koppite but in my heart, I'm still a "Lane Ender". I used to love the banter between the Roadersiders and Lane Enders in the days when everyone in the ground "sang"
Its all a bit disappointing at the minute and a bit downbeat but In think we are moving in the right direction.
UPIES!

I'm pretty basic when it comes to music, I prefer the rock genre.
Less than Jake, Complete (indie), Far From Heroes (indie), New Found Glory, Blink 182 etc
Radio wise, I only really listen to absolute radio. The 80's is usually always the first station to come on but I like music from even the 60's. I'm not really a fan of much of the modern stuff, I'm only 25 so this makes me sound old but a lot of it in my opinion is just generic and boring. (used to write lyrics myself) even helped one of the indie bands above.

Frank Lampard came off the bench to score winner for England against Brazil
On a memorable night, which saw Ashley Cole claimed his 100th cap for his country, England went ahead on 27-minutes through Wayne Rooney.
But this came just moments after Brazil has spurned the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot when Joe Hart brilliantly kept out Ronaldinho's attempt.
Just after the break and substitute Fred flashed home an excellent equaliser and not long after he struck the woodwork as the visitors looked to go ahead.
But it was England who claimed their first win over Brazil in 23-years, and it was another replacement - this time Frank Lampard, who side-footed home clinically from the edge of the box to give Roy Hodgson's side victory.
England looked dangerous early on with Jack Wilshere impressing on his return to the international stage, but he was adjudged to have handled a Ronaldinho cross - which gave the Atletico Miniero man a chance to open the scoring.
However, on his 100th appearance for his country - he saw his shot parried but Hart and the Man City keeper beat him to the rebound and Neymar was unable to convert from close-range.
It was no surprise, though, that the Arsenal player played a major part in the build-up to England's opening goal after 26 minutes from Rooney.
His pass picked out the surge forward of Gunners team-mate Theo Walcott, whose low drive was blocked by QPR keeper Julio Cesar. However, Rooney seized on the rebound and coolly tucked away his 33rd goal for his country with a low drive straight down the middle of the goal.
England attacked with plenty of pace and Walcott made a powerful charge towards the Brazilian box, only to fire over the bar.
But they had a let-off after 37 minutes when the highly-rated Neymar slid in at the far post and shot over from close range after Oscar had outpaced Chelsea team-mate Cole before crossing.
Leighton Baines and Lampard replaced Cole and Cleverley respectively at the start of the second period, whilst Brazil made a hat-trick of substitutions with Fred, Arouca and Lucas replacing Fabiano, Ramires and Ronaldinho.
Gerrard forced Cesar to parry his dipping drive two minutes into the second half but a mistake by Gary Cahill saw Fred equalise 60 seconds later.
The Chelsea defender was caught in possession bringing the ball out from defence and in an instant Fred drilled a fierce shot past Hart from the edge of the box.
The goalscorer almost struck again when his shot rattled the bar after Hart's clearance had bounced off Cahill.
But Cahill almost made amends for his error when he got on the end of a Gerrard corner and saw his header tipped over the bar by Cesar. The keeper then fingertipped away Walcott's ball into the danger area but Gerrard could not keep his follow-up shot down.
England were not to be denied the win over Brazil which they last gained back in 1990 as Lampard restored their lead on the hour. Walcott's centre was only partially cleared and Wilshere turned the ball back to Lampard, whose curling shot hit the inside of a post and crossed the line for his 27th England goal.
I missed this but my mum did call me to tell me that it was on. We ended up going out for a long time today, needed to get some refresh air and a change of scenery. It's good to see that we can win big teams and surely Frank Lampard will now get a contract at Chelski? It hurts to say it but he deserves it. Some of their players show a major lack of ambition sometimes and aren't impacting games like him. A two year contract would be a good call!
