Match Discussion: Game 28 - The Bees (H)

Notts were poor in the second half against Grimsby. We didn't deserve anything from the game and that's the way it panned out. The last time Notts actually put together a decent performance for the entire game was at home to Wrexham. Being honest, if that continues, we won't make the playoffs. Barnet at home is a chance to put things right. It's a must win game for so many reasons. Anything other than a win would be a disaster. I'll go for 2-1 to Notts. I expect a response from the team. It's time they stood up and took responsibility.Β

Before the game I thought this was going one of two ways; either another game of lacklustre play and missed chances or we’ll totally dominate and score a few. Didn’t think we’d get 6 though!

Pleased for Sam, totally earned that start and delivered with the goals too.

Bromley lost, Chesterfield and Stockport drew & we get +5 in the GD… Couldn’t have gone any better. (Well apart from that one idiot who hopefully won’t be allowed back).

Couldn't make last night's game, which is probably why they won so convincingly!

There was a lot of talk last night as to when we last hit six in the league and the consensus is that it was back in 1983 against Sunderland, but I found on the internet a date of 05/09/87, 6-2 against SouthendΒ  and was wondering if anybody can corroborate that it was the correct scoreline and was indeed a league game? I just cannot find it in my memory. I do remember that we had a pretty good season that year but fell away a bit towards the end of the season which cost us automatic promotion.Β

I think Notts stood up pretty well last night @Dripsey3Β I really enjoyed watching My Rams on Sky and listening at the same time on the radio with @GrannyPieΒ to our Pies.

Sounded like an excellent evening, with the exception of the racist incident in the first half (which was thankfully dealt with well by all concerned). I make that 15 goals in three games against Barnet. They must be desperate to see the back of us :D

But what's more important is that we kick on from here and put a run together, otherwise it'll count for very little. Time to step up.
