When Jodi signed my prints, he said that he wanted to stay at Notts. If he will, it's a different question, but the club could do with agreeing permanent terms with him. Since his loan spell is over, I assume he won't be part of our Wembley squad. It's interesting how this situation would play out, but a lot of fans have taken to Jodi Jones. He's a very good player and would be a massive coup for us no matter what happens on Saturday.

I should've clarified with the Oxford site but for clarification, his deal ends in June.

I believe it will be challenging to retain Jodi Jones, more so than Ruben Rodrigues, if the club doesn’t achieve promotion via the playoffs on Saturday. I’m uncertain about Ruben’s future and whether he has pre-signed a deal with another club behind the scenes. However, I suspect that more clubs would be interested in Jodi due to his younger age and more consistent performances.

I doubt any Notts fan would object to the signing of Jodi Jones. It’s important to initiate talks with him, even though he may be drawn to a League One or Two team at present. In my opinion, he’s the kind of player who can make the difference between becoming champions or runners-up. He’s an exceptional player at this level. We should secure his services before it’s too late.

quality player, i thought when we signed him he would have featured far more and although he has not started many games i feel he is a must target. a player of his quality might be out of reach otherwise, i know some fans think he would replace ruben rodrigues but he would reduce the need on spending any fees. claw back some of that money wasted from allowing joel taylor to go and probably kairo mitchell who i suspect will be next.

he can also fill in as a striker which i actually think would suit him well in a luke williams side, far more than when we have played ruben up top. hes best playing off the strikers imo.

It was always in the cards that Oxford would release him. Their loss. He'd be a quality addition whatever division we're in, and Rodders potentially leaving would give him the chance to shine. I think we're in with a good chance of signing him, but it might depend on whether he gets an offer he can't refuse from somewhere else.

@Chris are you sure his loan spell is up? Seems strange for it to cover Sunday but not the following Saturday.

Interested, very interested! Sorry, but not sorry. What a quality player Jodi Jones looks to be.

It was mentioned by Ollie in the press conference that his loan deal ends after Saturdays, so he should be OK.

i would sign him straight away, but look to play him as one of the front three rather than a wingback.

His deal runs out in June, but I have read on two sites that it had experienced already which is incorrect.

The Oxford website has provided clarification on this matter.

If his contract had expired, then his player registration would have been removed from Notts, however this isn't the case thank god.

We all dream of having Jodi Jones on our team. Once his contract expires, I bet his agent will be flooded with interest. So, it could be in our best interest to act now. I hope that we are already in talks with Jodi. It would seem foolish to bring him in on loan and not try to persuade him to give us a few years of his career. At his age, he still has time to learn and improve before reaching his prime. I think he would make us more attack-minded in a way that intimidates the opposition when he runs at them. That’s a luxury we can’t afford to miss if we can help it.
