Nice gesture by Stoke FC

Good on Stoke City for stepping up here. They've started a precedent where football, often stained with controversy and scandal, can be a platform for goodness and unity. In this critical period, their actions will hopefully inspire other clubs to do the same. Not to say that we should overlook the competitive aspect of football, that's what makes our sport exhilarating. But there are moments outside the 90 minutes of a game that can have a more profound impact. Stoke City has exhibited just that, and for this, they deserve all our respect.

I can't help but be moved by the kindness and consideration Stoke City has evinced through their commendable philanthropic gesture. It serves as a gentle reminder that football is a social glue, binding us all together, regardless of which team we support.

A commendable gesture by Stoke City that goes beyond just the game of football. It shows us that football isn't just about competition, it's about respect, unity and standing up for each other when needed. We as fans, truly appreciate such acts of kindness and hope to see more such gestures in the future.Β

Donating proceeds to the Jason Turner fund shows an admirable sense of unity in the football community. It's gestures like this that put forth the true essence of sports, competing but caring at the same time. Congratulations, Stoke City. You're an inspiration!

Stoke City has evidently reminded us of the beauty of football - it's not merely a competition, it is indeed a fraternity bound by love for the sport and respect for one another. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the potential to make a huge difference. It's really a testament to their sportsmanship spirit.

Does anyone know if Notts did donate themselves?

I’m not sure if Notts made a donation themselves. I haven’t seen anything mentioned on social media or in articles, but perhaps someone else can clarify. I think it would have been a wise decision to donate alongside Stoke City, who made a very nice gesture by donating their part.
