One for us older ‘pies

I’m pleased to hear this, for my age I consider myself reasonably fit but I do struggle sometimes when I get a ticket near the back of the stand. I remember when I could bound up those steps no problem.

Well done Notts. ????

This is something that’s been necessary for years, especially when you’re at the top of the stands. Sometimes you need something to grip, particularly when it’s cold or slippery. It’s not just the Pavis stand, the KOP is also steep and challenging for some.

I think all supporters will gain, but it’s nice to see more improvements to the ground like this. Some stewards might grumble that some people are taking too long to move. Just be patient and wait.

With the larger home crowds, it only takes one person to slip in the aisles, a domino effect could have serious consequences. This is good decision making by Notts in respect of risk assessment. It would also help towards the Ground Safety Certificate in dealing with larger crowds

The area around the pitch, it used to blow dust and debris in the faces of those who sit in the lower KOP when the wind would pick up. I suggested that this was an area to be improved, which it has, but it doesn't allow for effective draining of water now. At the fan meetings I used to attend, it was requested that handrails were put in - especially for the steep areas.

It seems the club might finally be using the information gathered during those meetings.

It's about time handrails were installed because it will help people especially when it's wet and slippery. One area I would like to see improved, and I keep saying it, is the paint work we walk on in the stands. It's slippy even when it's sunny. It's not even costly to put right the amount of time that I have or someone who is limited with their walking has fallen or almost fell.

i remember when ah said things like this would be costly to perform and hard to do because of the efl rules. yet naming the food bars after himself and putting pictures of how tall he was compared to other characters was all fair.

im glad because you can see some fans struggle at times.

@liampie The previous justification was a lack of space, but fans have been advocating for railings since the late 90s. It’s surprising that it’s taken this long, but it demonstrates the quality of our current owners and their commitment to making much-needed improvements to the club.

It’s about time for such a minor change, it’s nice to see the club taking the initiative to make improvements.

The modifications at Meadow Lane are indeed a positive development. With the club drawing more supporters, the investments should easily recoup their costs, if they haven’t already. The better the experience, the happier the fans will be. Safety is paramount.
