Good morning all, it’s a bright start but a bit cool first thing. Another start to the week and it will be a busy one for us as we make least minute preparations for our holiday.

Today we’ve got to collect some euros we did a click and collect from Morrisons which is quite convenient.

Then we’ll be sorting out our holiday clothes ready for the big day on Thursday.

Welcome to Monday Morning folks. It's a beautiful morning here with blue sky & plenty of sunshine.

It's a little crisp outside but dead calm.

Waiting for a food delivery from Tesco this morning. Will be checking the tins this week. A few damaged ones last week but the delivery man took them back & gave us a refund.

Nothing planned yet for the day afterward, for now, but if it does stay fine, might cut the grass.

Misty start to a Tuesday morning here, but the mist is lifting and it looks like it's going to be a Sunny day The clouds are high and whispy. No wind at all.

If the few off the grass dries quickly I'll try to get the grass cut today.

Anyone had a problem with their broadband last night. Apparently their were lots of complaints about the Sky broadband going offline till the early hours?

@cheeky~k8 found my blood results online, I haven't heard anything back from the doctors re: my recent blood test which was some time ago. I need to get my sugar levels under control, as I scored 42 and I'm still in risk of type 2 diabetes. :(

I have cut down on my sugar intake, but I will start to drink more water again and stay clear of anything that might spike my levels up.

I'm actually considering buying a Blood Glucose Monitors. I might be able to repurpose Granny Pie's, as I would just need strips. It's frustrating because I have got the levels down, and not much has changed since then. I have been avoiding things, except for like one off times. At least if I monitor it, I can see what I should be avoiding and see what to switch out. We have been looking at the back of ingredients to check the levels too. ????????‍♂️

Morning all, lovely photos @Piethagoram, we had a nice sunset last night but it wasn’t worth photographing as the foreground was just houses.

We deliberately woke up early this morning because we want to be tired tonight so we can have an early night tonight because we have to get up at 3am tomorrow for an early flight to Dubrovnik for our cruise. There’s fog forecast tomorrow I hope it doesn’t delay the flight.

I hope everyone is well and you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone.

Misty morning here but the mist has risen & the clouds look like they are breaking up a little. It is dead calm again & a little warmer than late.

Hoping to get into the garden today, probably this afternoon.

I had to ask to leave work early today. :( I don’t feel great, and writing was like watching a clock slowly turn. I can make the hours up, but I’m going to rest and recover. I want to feel better for Saturday. It’s a big game!

Thanks @super_ram I’ll try to post a few updates when I can but I probably won’t have much of a signal and wifi is very expensive and unreliable on the ship.

@TheSkipper take care mates hope you’re feeling better soon.

Just looked at the latest forecast & they are now saying rain is moving in from the south on Friday.

Where did that come from? The seven day forecast on Monday said it would be fine for the weekend.

Ah well

I did say ,somewhere else, @Robbie, it's all down to the movement and timing of the gulf stream and how good the forecasters are at guessing. As you say, ah well

Sorry to read you've got a touch of the lurgy, @TheSkipper.Get well soon.

I have recently started a new job and will be starting at Nottingham University studying electrical engineering. My time might be a little less often on here or even with Notts, but I am excited.

It was a misty morning here, dead calm and a little chilly. Now we've moved into the afternoon there is still thick cloud cover, but it looks like the sun may be peeking through very soon.

This weekend see's the arrival of the Autumn equinox, (12 hours of day, & 12 hours of night)  in the Northern hemisphere, when the Sun crosses the celestial equator going south

Info about the celestial equator.

Good morning all. Overcast here this morning. Looks like we may get some rain any minute. It's calm and not too chilly.

Up early to get a few things from the local Asda this morning. Found my front left tyre flat. Good job I have a small portable air compressor.

Not sure why the tyre was flat because it's a relatively new one.

I have driven up to be closer to Nottingham, so I don’t have to leave early in the morning to make the game. It also gives me a chance to have a couple of pints, since I won’t be driving. It’s a bit dull in Nottingham; it was much brighter where I came from.

I must remember to join in with the weekly chats from time to time. I hope everyone is well.

It's been a long week, with homework every day, and if you don’t hand it in on time, you get detention, even the first time, with no exceptions. It’s frustrating because I don’t want to stay at school any longer. If you think the homework is strict, it’s worse if you don’t finish your classwork. You get a mark for not finishing, and the more you get in a week, which doesn’t reset until the end of the month, leads to detention. Every 10 marks adds 10 minutes to your time in detention. I hate it, but I’m glad to have a weekend free from it. Our headteacher has a nickname, but I won’t say what it is, it’s not Putin, though.
