In the early days of the Pride of Nottingham, I committed to writing regular newsletters, filled with articles and content from the site. Despite my efforts, the low subscriber engagement was discouraging.

I wondered if perhaps my content wasn't resonating or if I was missing the mark somehow. Yet, these newsletters were among the first, predating the club's embrace of email marketing as a valuable tool.

For me, the goal was always to inform members about news and encourage their participation on the site. Now, with some exciting projects on the horizon, I'm closer than ever to achieving realistic targets. The newsletters will provide a balanced insight into the site and news, featuring guest columnists sharing their perspectives. I am highly encouraged by this and hope the community receives them well.

It's a great idea. You can get content emailed by following forums and topics. I think more members should enable this feature. A newsletter is a brilliant idea to boost engagement.

It sounds like a very good idea. I think there's potential to make the newsletters stand out and encourage people to visit the site. I really hope Notts fans connect with it because PON deserves it.

Love the idea of newsletters to revive engagement! It’s a great way to keep the community connected, especially during quieter periods on the site.

What sort of content are you thinking of including? Maybe we could all chip in with ideas to make it even better! Either way, I’m really looking forward to seeing how this develops.

It’s great for celebrating milestones within the community, whether it’s recognising long-term members or highlighting new faces who’ve joined. What’s the current plan for these? Are they going to be weekly or monthly? And will members have a chance to contribute content?

I think this is just what we need to keep the community spirit alive and thriving. Thanks for putting the effort into this, it’s much appreciated!

This is such a brilliant idea! Newsletters are a great way to bring the community together, especially for those who might not check the site as often. Can’t wait to see how they turn out and what sort of updates will be included. Well done for taking this step to engage everyone! 😊

Newsletters will really help keep everyone in the loop. Looking forward to seeing what’s included: match previews, member highlights, maybe even some sneak peeks at Faces of PON?
