Excellent news indeed, I would have been tempted to offer them a 3 year deal but this is still great.

Mind you, I might be tempted to literally tie them down for many more years if I was the chairman. These two are a breath of fresh air around around Meadow Lane and after rejecting his Premier League return to stay with us, I'd go ahead and give him a key to the stadium. :P

Great deal. Long enough to get stability continuing in the right direction and short enough to get out of if needs must (which hopefully they wont!!!)

Funnily enough I wrote a blog about my thoughts on the club currently, highlighting such things as "stability". Can I be cheeky enough to point you in it's direction? What's New....

Good god, who was the last Notts gaffer to get a contract extension instead of a P45!? Honestly can't remember it ever happening!

Superb news though, finally, the club is seeing the light and getting some much needed stability. It's obvious Shaun has a long term vision for where he wants the club to be and how he wants to get there, it's crucial the club sticks by him. For a club like ours, stability is the key to success.

SHAUN DERRY, HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN!

Echo all the sentiments above, hopefully at the end of next season they'll be given a 5 year contract!!

Well done to Ray, Aileen & Jim for getting these two tied down for at least the next two seasons.

In the words of the chairman

I can't embed the interview again, I don't know why but for those who haven't heard Shaun Derry's thoughts.

Delighted with the news, they have deserved it.

Well said, strongly agree with you.

I agree with the above comments. It's one step at a time though but we've just taken a giant leap with this news

Excellent news for you pies.

Can't argue with the results since Derry has joined.  Well worth tying him up for a few more years :D

yeah i think the contract sums up the overall census at the club, good move really. when a manager does well, he is always lined up for another position. good work notts!
