I have read alot more in the past two years since I purchased my kindle. Now moved onto the hdx version and really enjoy reading all sorts.

Does what you read represent the person though?

I've just (15 minutes ago!) finished the Marco Pierre White autobiography. Now I have the choice of going Sci-fi again or the new Roy Keane book from a few weeks ago.

Thinking about it i'm going to go Sci-fi. In fact I've really enjoyed reading 'young adult' novels recently such as the hunger games trilogy and am going to plump for Divergent now. Not sure why they are termed YA though as they seem fine for old adults too!!

I'm reading The Jazz Age. A collection of short stories by F Scott Fitzgerald. Read a lot of his stuff. Tender is the night is my favourite.

I haven't read a book for a long, long time. These days I think the thought of a book sounds quite nostalgic, however that said I do not even read e-books or any other type of electrical book.

I'm a lot like @super_pie I have my head a comic book every now or then.

Possibly, it's down to the fact I tend to focus on many things at once and when it comes to focusing on a 'single' thing I became very wacky. I can never just play with one of my children for example, it's got to be them all.

The last book i read was called "The Trail of the Dead". :)

The beauty of the kindle is you can swap between different things all the time. I find the only problem is the auto type mistakes and the fact it constantly puts full stops in for me in the wrong places when replying to threads on here. (Apologies for the extra full stops in any of my posts. Blame the Kindle, not my poor punctuation skills!)

Yes I too read more since getting a kindle, at the moment I've got a kindle fire and pick it up at bedtime and skip between reading and now sing the web. I'm reading acromegaly novel at the moment I don't like anything too heavy I want reading to be fun not hard work.

Hmm should have said browsing, now you're a mod you could have edited that

The only thing I get thrown at me when I sing is rotten fruit.

Does @cheeky-k8 know of your issues with reading certain pages of the screwfix catalogue hence why you don't read anymore??

I'm reading a book on my kindle, it's a crime thriller about an abducted child, I can't for the life of me remember what it's called.

Do you think that the books you (being the royal) read reflect the person you are?

Depends. I know I read a massive range of books from auto-bios to sci-first and thrillers. I also like a lot of 'end of world' type books so if it does, I dread to think what it says about me!!!

I'm currently reading "Depths" by Henning Mankell. It's well-written but so far incredibly dull. I'm just over half way through though so I'm not giving up on it now.

Although they do tend to follow a strict formula, I do enjoy my crime novels. I particularly like the Tom Thorne books by Mark Billingham. Mark Billingham incidentally played one of the Sheriff of Nottingham's guards on the 90s children's series Maid Marian and her Merry Men.

My useless fact of the day!

Now I'm reading Shivers VII. A collection of horror stories by various authors including Stephen King and Clive Barker. First 2 stories were excellent.

@hysongreenpie I could send a copy of that to Mrs PTID's previous management, who is currently at King Juan Carlos's pleasure for that very offence

I'm currently reading Revival by Stephen King. About 50 pages in, and pretty good so far, although it seems he's going for the slow burn in this one rather than throwing in any immediate shocks.
