Will Hayhurst

According to PNE forum and twitter (apparently), we are due to sign this 20yo winger William Hayhurst on a permanent.

He is currently on loan at York City, and has extended until the end of the season according to Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Hayhurst

PNE fans seem to rate him as 'having potential' or 'destined for L2 level'. I assume for us to sign him, they will have to recall him from York. Tried signing up for York's fans forum but there's about 100 hoops to jump through before you can even see their forum.

My apologies, was on loan at York last season, not this. I forget the year, damn you 2015!

I can't imagine the fee will be too much so why not? The lad has potential. He played for Ireland U19s. I reckon SD and GA would get the best out of him.

It will be interesting to get York fans opinions. We need a winger, maybe a loan with a view to perm?

Wait & see! Seems a particularly underwhelming option to me tho'. His injury record together with the fact that Preston can afford to offload him is a tad worrying.

I'm more than willing to see what he can do before reaching a conclusion. He has to be able to offer more than Ismail & McLaughlin - they were both next to useless - surely?

I know absolutely nothing about him, which could actually be a good thing.

He may thrive under less pressure, I would suspect that Preston have a lot of this around their camp because they're desperate for promotion. He may be a Jimmy Spencer like signing, I recall fans saying elsewhere on social sites that he had no experience and was destined for League Two, I'll happily give him my support and wait to see him settle before judging him (provided he does sign).

No harm in trying him out for 6 months to prove he could make it. and like someone said it might not break the bank.

Plus we have to look at youth now a day's,  given the Financial restraints of the FFP.

We have a mutual friend - I saw a picture on facebook, put on a bit of weight

i would prefer actual signings than loans to be perfectly honest, they should only ever top up a squad.

this would not be a bad signing provided he can get a game.

I think she would love the midlands, spending all his money.

It might make him want to perform better to keep up with the bills.

Happily take him on when the squad is desperately crying out for a young winger.

Marvellous news hope he is a huge success.

After this rumour came true, I now proclaim myself 'forum man IN THE KNOW'.

I don't actually know much, and I have no sources, but there ya go.

Yes, just noticed on Sky Sports News. He should do us alright, I hope we can give him time to settle before anyone comments about disappointment.

I think its good that we have this option.

I've merged both 'Will Hayhurst' topics together incase anyone wonders where the topic in the 'jimmy sirrel stand' has gone.
