I am selling my almost new Humax 1010S. Freesat box, just needs a sat dish. Plugs straight into sky dish. No changes to cables. Just plug it in and off it goes. It is the latest model (and the best available in the market at the moment.)

Β

Features...

This new Freesat+ box comes with Freetime - our smart new on screen TV Guide that makes it even easier to find the programmes you love.Β
It even lets you browse backwards in time and watch shows that have already been on.

Combining Freesat HD, BBC iPlayer, ITV Player*, 4oD and Demand5, the Humax HDR-1000S delivers over 190 channels of viewing goodness.Β

You can record one channel while watching another, or record two different channels at the same time. You wonÒ€ℒt have to miss one show to see another or choose between two of your favourites. YouÒ€ℒll be able to record more, watch more and enjoy more entertainment with this great recording functionality.

Boasting a 500GB hard drive, the recorder can store up to 125 hours

of HD programming or up to 300 hours of standard definition shows.

Play back a wide range of audio and video content from compatible devices in your home network.

Enjoy high-definition video and audio as they were meant to be.

Just connect the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable to any HD source and enjoy the optimized pictures and sounds each and every time.

Genuine Sale as I only purchased it a few months back, but now Virgin have offered me 18 months free XL package on everything for less than I was paying just for their broadband.

As I say, nearly new and can be seen working if required.Β

All that is needed is a sat dish and then you have free TV forever with the bonus or twin tuners, all on demand etc and no subscriptions etc..

Time to tell Sky to go byebyes?

Β

Retails at £229 in the Currys sale at the moment. Will take offers above £140 for it (I did pay £250 for it!)

Got one myself that I haven't yet managed to get installed, it's amazing how much I still need to do around the house but good luck selling it. If it doesn't gain much interest here, I will list it socially and mention it on my page (my personal account).

I am sure someone will come forward, freesat is a good service.

Thanks. We were really pleased with it, but its a no brainer when my bill with VM was phone bb etc at £57 and they phone and offer their largest package(BT sports yippee) for 18 months at £55 per month! Was considering storing it, but after talking to a few people it seems Virgin are absolutely desperate to keep people so no probs renewing the discounts in 18 months.

Hope someone does buy it because it is a superb box. Better than a sky box actually with the tv guide rewind idea. You can just scroll forwards on the guide or press the left arrow and it goes back to programmes, at their respective times broadcast and streams them as well.

No box for it by the way. looked in my loft and its not there. Sorry. I normally keep boxes for everything electrical!

@notts-joe can I take you up on your offer to advertise it more widely? Same price etc... didn't want to eBay it really, but looks like I might have to. Didn't want the shipping hassle so was aiming to sell locally, but oh well.

I will push it again mate, I had no responses - I had hoped someone would contact you but it doesn't seem to be the case.

cheers. It's got 20 watching it. Just hope some bugger bids on it apart from me or I've just sold it to myself!!!

You wanted offers above £140 and it looks like you may get well above that.

I hope so. Without being too mysterious though, the two primary bidders are

A Mr Alan Smith

And someone with a business name traceymchildminder.

I have no idea who they are. Honestly gov.

I tweeted it and put it on my FB page, if it requires a push I'll put it back up on Ebay. I guess it gives some shoppers security, whilst the owner can have headaches - I guess it is better in some ways.
