Notts County V Crawley (A)

With Julian Kelly looking doubtful, Cofie unlikely and Dean Leacock suspended (10 Yellow cards), Notts will face a difficult trip to Crawley with only 3 points separating the two sides.

We were discussing Deano's yellows earlier. He is still not on the FA Suspension List. Maybe they are just slow at updating the list.

I travel to most of the away games. But unfortunately this year I have to work every fourth weekend. (Work interfering with footy). Normally I would lose money and still travel. But, after recent results, I am not going to put myself out for this game.

I think it will be another hard one. But stick Smith in the back four, move Liddle to midfield and then I think we can beat them.

Safe journey to those travelling, will be thinking of you. You Pies.

It's a shame it seems unlikely I'll be able resolve the chat issues your experiencing dave in time for tomorrow, you'd be welcome to join us and it's something I really enjoy doing.

Crawley, difficult side on the day and still can pack a punch on the field. Physical, slick and keen to do well. I think this could be dangerous for us if the right players don't turn up with their game faces, attitude and ambition. If we lose, all hope of the play off's will go out the window for good. It would be a shame, though cheer them on and hope that the players can come together! A win would be so vital to the winding up of the season.

Score based on the last performance, would have to say a Crawley win.

Prove me wrong Notts!

Would hope we get a win away, but its easier said on here than actually happening.

As long as we play better than wednesday i'll be happy, obviously winning would be even better.

I'm hoping i'll be on the chat this week :)

We will miss Leacock at the back as he has been one of our best players this season. If we lose this game, I think any slim chance we have of reaching the play offs is over. We needed a decent striker bringing in for this game. Would like to see Judge back to his best and giving it his all, instead of showing his interests are elsewhere!! His corners and free kicks are often wasted by placing the ball too close to the keeper! Time for CK to show he's a capable manager and motivate the players to bring home 3 points. COYP

That's one thing I feel bad for JCR is when he does put a perfect ball in, nobody is throwing themselves at them or having the desire to want to beat the goalkeeper. Judge, he's been a little quiet and when he scored against Carlisle I heard he got man of the match but if true there was two better players who did give more. I think some of his problems is the fact he seems to struggle changing position, now this just be what I say but he struggles on the wing unless he's played there awhile and he does much better sitting behind the strikers where he can be our creative threat from long distant drives.

Nobody seems to be taking any chances from range, the ball falls in the area for try and we pass it to the wing or backwards. Frustrating to watch, as our build up play can be very entertaining.

Hope they connect tomorrow, plus a good crowd travels. COYP

If our performance on Wednesday is anything to go by I think the best we can get out of this is a draw. Hopefully I will be proved wrong and the team will put in a performance.

I was looking at them as they came off the pitch on Wednesday they were gutted, Bish in particular looked really angry and was shaking his head, you can tell he cares. Best case scenario is that Crawley get a backlash and get thumped but perhaps that is dreamland.

Looking at the team he's put out I can't see us pulling up any trees this afternoon. Blythe up front on his own??!!

Will take the point, interesting comments after the match regarding our form and it's surely now to focus on cementing ourselves a decent position regardless of the play off hopes. We can build next season, if we get a striker who knows where the net is or can help our play who knows where we can go from there.

Cofie sounds like he is out of favour now? Two striker would make sense if you struggle to score.

We never looked sharp enough, the midfield and defence did well. I rate Cofie, provided the service he could prove to be a tricky youngster but we need to adjust our play so all our players can give something to games. Good draw! This is only down to the fact we are lucky that Crawley didn't punish us. Torres look very lively when he came on for them, whilst ours were on holiday.

Wasen't a bad game yesterday, suppose it was almost inevitable it'd end in a draw but still we close the gap on 6th place to 7 points. We now have two successive home games against Preston North End and Scunthorpe United. Back to back wins would put us right in the mix going into the game at Swindon in a fortnight. It's now or never!

Bad day all round. Unfortunately from this year I have to work every fourth weekend. This really causes havoc with watching Notts. Not a problem for home games, as I can finish work and drive from Ripley to Notts for those. It just ruins the odd away game. Unfortunately this is one of the games that I have missed.

Its been year since I have had to listen to a game on the radio and I must say I didnt enjoy it that much.  I had forgotten what Colin Slater sounded like.

Another draw. Believe we have drawn the most  games in League 1. It good that we havent been beaten, but, it's 2 points lost, not a point gained. Going back a few yearsm that would leave is just 1 point outside the playoffs. (2 for win, 1 for draw)

Still onwards and upwards, Preston tuesday and Scunthorpe saturday. Two wins could change things again.

1 point was better than none, I was hoping for a win as i said before but cannot be too picky. A draw is a draw even with no goals at all.
