I was (am) really keen on The Rolling Stones up to 1967ish but cannot bear to listen to The Stones who performed after that. I guess I'm an old style bluesman at heart ... and even older than @super_ram.

The title of this thread prompted me to check when Sergeant Pepper taught his band to play. Turns out it was 1 June 1947.
