Swindon Town Vs Notts County

Swindon Town will be a good test for the remaining games, as we face teams mainly around or higher. (bar Colchester)

I was looking at Swindons form prior to writing the 'view of our upcoming games' and they look pretty solid despite their troubles, if they can keep things as they are it would be a good thing and I truly expect them to carry it out. I just hope they don't hit us like a cannon, if they're brighter and score, I see a repeat of Hartlepool minus the fight back at times.

Really, I do hope we can overcome this and finish strongly. The lads need to believe and push for wins :)

1-0 to them I fear.. You?

Will be there. £25 for adults and £17 for me, robbing b*****ds!

I'm hoping for a win, as there isn't many games left it would be great to get a few more wins in.

We have had alot of draws this season, although another one is better than a lose.

Hehe.. I don't mind myself, it will hit those who travel to Home and Away games and the fans such as yourself. I just hope the game goes ahead, fingers crossed Mickey can shed some light on the snow and cold situation. (hopefully avoid another disappointing called off tie)

I thought you wasn't going James!! well, I thought I had read that.

The club are trying to send out a strong message, I hope the players do put a collected performance in against Swindon. I will be travelling, one of the highest fee's this season but I hope the money is put to good use. I.E keeping them above the water, Notts fans can related to this but that said it's not easy for those who travel to games. I think we could very well see a surprise in our favour!

Come on Notts! You Pies!

Hard game. But we haven't lost there since 2003/4.

Any sign of an off day for Swindon and I think we can take it. Not a team we should fear. You Pies!

With how were playing can see swindon winning

Swindon are a very good team at home and County will have to play well to get a result.

No match today for Rams so am listening on radio. For what it's worth predict a draw.

Listening to radio 5 and the commentator said Notts play pretty passing football but no end product. One shot off target hit corner flag.

a draw 0-0 was the end result.

Well I was right about a draw.So it ended 0-0 but it sounded exciting and entertaining with Notts putting up a great rear guard action.Bart,Liddell and Leacock drew aftermatch praise on radio, which I agree with.Swindon will be wondering what they have to do to score.Notts almost stole it.I'm looking forward to reading the first hand comments.

Sounds like Bart kept us in it again! If only we could score!!

Exactly my impression,Muddy.

We simply didn't make the most of the chances we did have, the same could be said for Swindon. I loved the day, was great and away days, visiting a different stadium does add so much to an occasion. Hamza should have had a shot! his 1-on-1 with Arquin was begging him to shoot, I fear he'll lose any support now and really needs to up his game or move on. (sounds harsh) Though he should have shot! I think fans would have forgiven him for blasting it wide or whatever, just some comments after the game leaves me thinking he isn't going to be the player we need to progress.

Shame really, he did show some promising signs.. fair summary of the game 0-0, Swindon would have had the right to say they deserved to win had then had not been so woeful on target and when they weren't Bart was on form!

Yes I saw the saves Bart made on tv-great

From what i heard of the game there should of been at at least a few goals, but a draw was fair.

1 point is better than none. A long day for all the Notts fans that went.

Under normal circumstances a draw away from home would have been a very good result.Excellent,at times desperate, defending but very little threat up front.Would it have been different with a 'Lee Hughes'or is more needed?

Another typical Swindon Town home performance. We probably "deserved to win" and arguably your keeper gained you a point. Yet our keeper saved well from a long range Alan Judge shot and we scrambled one off the line.

We have a good goal difference based on very solid defence but have still managed to score a few. We really need a pure striker to put away the half chances and scrappy goals.

Where is our next Charlie Austin?

sounded like a pretty poor game, i switched off. only due to it being swindon all the time

well played bart

I thought Bart was doing well at saving the attempts on goal yestaday. Well played both teams.

Posted

He did, there was at least two which on a different day may of gone in. He was in fine form! I used to say when Nelson was our number one that we should rely on him so much, as our defense tended to give him a lot to do but Bart will only get better. Poland must be watching him for sure!! Mad not too, League One is much better than their highest division and they still pick players from there!

I believe draws are a waste of time now days. Its two points lost with a three point system.

It looks good to be unbeaten with three draws gaining three points. But one win and two loses gives exactly the same.

I may have mentioned it before, but, you could go all season unbeaten = 46 points and still possibly get relegated,

Three points was brought in to make teams go for the win. Looking at our results this season, that's been proved wrong. Too many draws.

Convert 5 or 6 of those draws to wins and look where we would be :shifty:
