Carlton Town -friendly

Featured Replies

agreed, i would like a few goals but i noticed against Royce we tried to walk it into the net alot... i wanna see passes but shots from anywhere aswell

I think we should line up playing a semi weak team but put our best defence myself, so rest the SAS and give the youngsters their chance to shin in midfield and upfront.

At least then we may see what the fringe players have to offer, especially going into Saturday.

It should be a good game regardless.

Second half was great to watch, lots of energy in the attack and 3 great finishes too. Stanley Aborah (number 15) looked class in defensive midfield, any news about him signing?

We left ourselves quite open at the back in the first half, we went forward very well but a little too creative (as Carlton managed to cut out a lot) and they made it seem very easy to do.

I am hoping we will see a more settled squad for Alfreton, something which resembles what Ricardo Moniz would like to go with in league games.

Obviously it's a friendly but Carlton played quite well, which is highlighted by the fact they scored first and lead for a fair bit of time. I enjoyed the game, the banter and see all the optimism in person.

i noticed some fans having a meltdown on twitter when carlton scored, so funny that the usual clowns do not see what a friendly is for. by from what was said on pons fb, it sounded like a decent game. a dull first half but a very bright second.
