It will be good to get back to playing the genuine Dons after a few seasons having to put up with playing the fake Dons.

Wimbledon are 2 points ahead of us in the table. They have scored in all of their league games up to now. They have scored 8 goals in 7 games and conceded 9 goals. Their home form isn't great, 1 win and 2 defeats, but both those losses are to promotion contenders (Plymouth and Cambridge).

Wimbledon are very similar to Morecambe. They are a well managed side. They are physical and play a high tempo game. Their talisman is the beast aka Adebayo Akinfenwa. He doesn't move around much but is a deadly finisher. He's going to pose a new sort of challenge for our back 4. The Dons will be a constant danger from set pieces. If we defend these badly, it will be a long day at the office.

I think this game will tell us how much we have come from that battering at Morecambe. Let's see if we have learned the lessons. I think we have and I reckon we will grind out a 2-1 win. Izzy and Noble.

Hope we do, and yes will be nice to be playing the proper dons, as opposed to the fake ones.

We should stuff them if we play how we can, I will say 3-1 to Notts.

Wimbledon are a tough team but one that can be broken down.

It does depend on how we play and of course them, if we play well - we still may find it hard to score because they can restrict chances quite well and it will take 'leaders' to change this. I believe we have the creativity to outplay them, do we have the defence and momentum? This could very well be one of those games whereby we struggle to get a point or we will win comfortably.

Back to back wins sounds nice, yet let's not count our chickens before they hatch.

Amevor - Swerts - Hollis - Audel

              Aborah -  Noble
Snijders                            Burke
                   Stead
                              McLeod

Another must win for me. Dons will try and pump it up to Akinfenwa, so Hollis, Audel and Amevor to cope with his physical presence. Would've been tempted to include Hewitt instead of Amevor if not for Akinfenwa.

akenfienwa ain't that good rember us playing gillingham an he came on did nothing just strength that's all not been funny but if McLeod plays like he has been and gets the service it will be over before half time I we have pace on the flanks now who av a understanding we should easily win I'm going for a McLeod hatrick

Looking forward to it need to be a big physical back 4 to put up with akinfenwa though

This is the game we finally kick into gear.

Sorry for Wimbledon, but I don't think they stand a chance.

Notts 4 - 1 dons
Snijders
Izzy
Nobblers
Spencer

It would be good to think that with Aborah patrolling in front of the defence and Noble getting stuck in that Notts can take the pressure off the defenders by slowing Wimbledon down. Notts to score 2 or 3 and Wimbledon 1 less!

I also feel 4-1 could be a real possibility.

Wimbledon could be the team where Notts go all systems go, heaven knows its about time.

i think we should do well, wimbledon have one player who concerns me and its not whos been quoted. if we play to our strengths and as a team, we will get the points we need i am sure.

onwards and upwards!

I'm not sure about this one, I think AFC Wimbledon will be just the kind if side that we will struggle against, I'm still not sure we are up for the physical battle.

A draw at best.

It won't be 0-0, that's my only prediction as we are so unpredictable :)

@[member="Veggie pie"] - I hope you haven't jinxed it buddy! If it ends up goalless, I won't point the finger. ;)

We need to start brightly, put together a convincing performance and hopefully the result will come. COYP!

Trust Hollis to get the goal, I've been joking about this! I think we need to stop testing our luck though, as it seems Wimbledon are getting close to scoring themselves. If we can get to half time 1-0 (or having scored a second) - I think this would take the pressure from off ourselves.

it sounds like neither sides are connecting well or passing the ball to open the play. i am finding it quite boring now to listen to!

glad we got the goal but we need a second goal.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result, yet it's frustrating. It's extremely disappointing to concede so late, we really need to be careful! I would hope we could score but lightening doesn't strike twice in the same fashion.

I think we need to hang on, desperate few last minutes.

If only McLeod had of hit the target with his header and scored! Oh well. COME ON NOTTS!

2-1 Wimbledon, absolutely terrible.

It makes you wonder how much is down to fitness, we concede and the confidence just disappears. Fair play to Wimbledon :(

sorry but it's beyond me with 5 mins left you can throw a game away it's the same as last season it's a joke defence is non egxistant Burke is not a centre mid threw it away again

It's very worrying that we have not yet learnt to hold onto a lead, if getting relegated from doing it i.e Gillingham doesn't make you learn then nothing will. :(

I hate to say it but I'm going to 424 is not the answer for so many reasons we get overrun in the middle of the park so many times number 2 players out of position this does my head in Burke centre mid stead playin a centre mid role most games play Burke in his natural position an either go to a 442 an play stead up top or spencer with McLeod it's simple as for defence Audel is far to light weight amervor I'm not sold on it just amzes me today we have noble an Thompson on the bench two centre mids who will run an hassle people for 90 mins I hate to say it but moniz is on the verge of losing his job we can't afford to lose to Crawley an York because that will be it it was a huge risk to appoint him and give him the amount of money he has spent in my personal view mine only I would of still taken Darren Ferguson good Lower league manager because moniz doesn't know how to deal with this that's just my opinion

Posted

We definitely need more bite in midfield, Noble should certainly be in the middle with Thompson, Stead has done nothing for me.

Posted

stead has done nothing because look where he is playing a deep centre mid how about trying him alongside McLeod instead of wasting him he's is a good player but if players are going to be played out of position there wasted Burke is a example good goon forward no cover at all tho were as Thompson an noble will press and chase and graft an do the dirty work 442 simple as that
