aborahs future at notts

Featured Replies

supposedly aborah wants out of notts, fans are saying fullarton claims he will only work with moniz. why would he turn up to the game if he misses training? why did not fullarton just come out with this all along? i think its quite serious to make such claims when you beat around the bush in the first place.

i just dont believe it myself!

It was hot topic in the navi after the game, I haven't yet heard it but it seems Stanley Aborah has dismissed it (which doesn't look good).

I think the fact that Aborah is hugely popular at the club and Fullarton is hugely unpopular is clouding people's judgement on this issue. Β Putting aside personal likes and dislikes and concentratingΒ on what both parties have said, it's hard to see how anyone can support Aborah.

no @Elite_pieΒ what's made this is Jamie Fullarton taking forever to actually admit it apparently when he was quizzed on it by Colin he basically said the following.

I see him in training everyday along with the others and pick from what I see he never once mentioned hey il be honest with you all Stan don't wanna play.

So why leave it this long and drag on then apparently tell us this?Β

Personally if aborah wanted out he would be refusing to play for the reserves not turning up to games to watch etc etc to me Fullarton isn't telling the whole truth neither is the club and its embrassing and the longer it drags on the worse the publicity will getΒ

how do you come to that conclusion @Elite_pie?

jamie fullarton had the chance to say this weeks ago, he had the chance to answer colins questions but decided to avoid being open about it all. after the fans sung about wanting aborah back and in the side, i think it was bound to result in comments like aborah wanted out.

I've hurt my head thinking about this stupid, avoidable situation. As of now, Stanley says he wants to play, and JF says he's in his plans. So what's the problem? Whatever has been said between them in the past, surely Jamie Fullarton can use some man-management skillsΒ and smooth things over with the player for the benefit of everyone. Unless someone upstairs has another agenda, of course.

colin "will we see stanley aborah for notts again?"
jamie "in what way?"

then ends it with "we'll see". hardly restores faith in what he says.

i hope it just settles down but right now everything is becoming bigger than it needs to be.

I think it's safe to say that nobody knows for sure what is going on, there's more than just the Fullarton v Aborah fight going on and it's quite dark right now around the club. Yet, I can see why people would support Aborah - he's remained quiet and quite rightly so. It's for the manager to say why he isn't picking players, if I was a manager and a very good player said "I want out".

Personally, I would respond "Prove yourself on the pitch, play well and if any bids materialize we can discuss your future then".

also if Stan didn't wanna play why has he been on the bench under Fullarton a few games if he doesn't want to be here makes zero sense at all and again it doesn't add up to what Fullarton is telling usΒ

If Jamie doesn't want to play him because Aborah does want out, naming a player on the bench isn't a good move when he knows full well he won't be used.

Spot on mate! I feel the same and about many things, I personally think certain things hold a low priority and by time things can be resolved - it's always blown up in our faces.

You call it spot on, why leave a player out? The Post report it's due to him not covering back or defending. That was the chance for Jamie Fullarton to respond, yet he didn't and if in recent weeks Aborah has said he wants out - considering he hasn't featured. I can't blame him, provided that he's willing to play. I think it's another reason why a fans forum would be a good call.

The club have made a very clear and specific statement statingΒ "He's asked to leave the club directly and via email through his agent". Β Aborah has made a few vague tweets saying basically nothing. Β Firstly, I can't believe Fullarton would openly lie, and secondly if he did lie I can't believe that Aborah would just sit there quietly and not issue a denial. Β

I am waiting to hear Aborah's side of the story before making up my mind on him, but as others have mentioned things do not add up. There must have been some disagreement between the pair early doors, what that is though we just don't know and probably never will.

Aborah also wished the lads good luck before the game on twitter, yes saying he hopes they get the three points isn't much but it makes it look like he cares.

Another thing is that none of Ricardo's friends (Stan, Genaro, amevour, ect) have played under Fullerton, it's quite possible branston is sticking his fingers in after Ricardo publicly put him in his place, just a theory but could he possible as Ricardo mentioned some people are in the game for their own egos

That is a point but it could be reserved back to Fullarton.

Why did he not just out and say this sooner?

Someone claiming to be connected to the club has posted this elsewhere:

"Stanley and Ricardo were good friends, had a great professional relationship and came to the club based on him. The manner in which Ricardo was told to leave is the reason Aborah has refused to play - the club were ruthless in the sacking of Moniz. No opportunity to say goodbye to staff, players or his own backroom team - forced out the door in a style reminscent of a public hanging - one that left Ricardo's confidence in shatters and was hugely disrespectful in any line of work.

Subsequently because of this Stanley is refusing to play for Notts on the basis of the treatment they have shown to Ricardo not because of his loyalty but due to the complete disrespect shown to his manager on departure."

Β

Now I don't know if it's true or not, but if it is then Aborah's actions are a disgrace. Β He signed a contract to play for Notts County, not to play for Ricardo Moniz. Β His loyalty should be to the fans who pay his wages, not to a sacked manager.

hit the nail on the head....

Why would aΒ new manager disregard a player after 2 days who he himself last night described as 'Quality with ability' ????

Some folk dont like JF and thats entirely up to them but to suggest he would cast aside a quality player for no other reason than , after 2 days , he 'doesn't like him' is quite frankly ...bonkers

If any player had stood up and said about the club you love ' I dont want to be here' then every fan to a man/woman would personally show them the door...but somehow on this occassion it appears ok? why is that?

JF has explained last night that he didnt 'out' this earlier as he wanted to try and let Aborah change his mind...which he clearly hasnt and , given the level of crticism that he has received over Aborah, I'm only surprised he didnt do it earlier.

Everyone has an opinion , I just dont subscribe to the view that JF bulleted this guy having known him for less than 48 hours at a new club...it just doesn't stack up

Β

That's correct, Stanley was on the bench for Fullertons first 2/3 games but his injury was still around so it can't have been as soon as he came in

If that was true @Elite_pie, why did Aborah play in the match immediately following Moniz's sacking? Likewise, Aborah was on the bench against Luton under Fullarton - why would JF name a sub who had refused to play? Either he'd gone completely barmy, or the claim that SA refused to play following Moniz's departure / JF's arrival simply isn't true.

I don't this can be resolved by the player and manager on their own, I think there has been some interference from above and now Fullarton is tying himself in knots trying to explain the situation. It's the only explanation that makes the slightest jot of sense.

If he said that 2 days after JF arrived then why on earth was he on the sub's bench 14 days into JFs tenure ?

I suppose Burke has had a fair chance to and Spencer who isn't good enough but yet at Cambridge had 2 in 2 yea okay.

Youre deluded if you think Fullarton hasn't brought this on himself the bloke has no idea wait til say when rovers hit us for 6 hope he gets out cause we are now 17-18th but it's okay Fullarton will save us.

can't wait to Spencer comes back to the lane aswell least we will see a decent strikerΒ
