Who's listening?

So far Colin Slater has said Jamie Fullarton wasn't aware he would be sacked, yet his position was in question after what he described as one of the worst performances throughout his years as the Notts manager.

A fan has called in and said that signing Alan Sheehan was a mistake and that he doesn't feel it was the wrong decision to sack JF.

Is the BBC Radio Nott'm wider than Notts County own reach? Colin exaggerated there.

i thought the notts who called in was being misdirected by the questions put to him.

fullarton as an inexperienced manager was never going to win fans over, it was always likely to result in him being sacked because it takes rookies time to develop a winning brand of football. colin summed it up well by speaking about how he was over hyped!!

Really David has to ask the questions he did, without them it would have been a little 'obvious' as to what anyone would respond.

The Notts fan was right about it wasn't going to work, regarding the best players not playing and the fact that the majority of supporters could exactly select the best squad. It's obvious, even if we do tinker with it and add our own personal views - Jamie Fullarton never seemed to know the best squad. It was less so than Ricardo Moniz who changed things up more frequently but had gotten better performances/results.

Did I really hear that Hollis should have played instead of Boyce who was described as 'unfit'?

I felt he had a decent game, standing out more than others. Yes, the defending was poor by the squad but Boyce put himself about quite well I felt.

boyce was not the worst defender imo.

did colins slip of 7m reveal hardys bid?

Watch the highlights....1st goal boyce sbsent....2nd goal boyce poor header straight to the opposition....3rd goal boyce left for dead by the exeter scorer....iam not impressed....

@gtownjohnno I thought the whole of the defence was poor, yet I did say to @Cobby both Boyce and Loach should have done better for the goal. Still from my mind he didn't do that bad but I respect your opinion, will go watch the highlights.

I haven't dared to do it so far. :(

2 of the four goals he could have done better, blaming him for all comes across as harsh.

The defending was absent by all.

Mmmmm, I can't directly embed their MP3 anymore (they've taken it a way).

No the less, here's the link to the MP3 - http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/5/redir/version/2.0/mediaset/audio-nondrm-download/proto/http/vpid/p03msdp6.mp3

(I'll see if I can work on a way to embed it within the post so people can just click 'play').

@notts-joeI thought the chap that rang in said it was a mistake not to sign Sheehan?

To be fair to Boycie, during the second half he was having to try and cover the centre half position and right back because Hewitt kept going AWOL. He could have done better with 1, or 2 of the goals, but I think he would be OK in a solid back four, it's just that we don't have one at the moment.

I think it's the link to the previous weeks episode.

It seems to be the case, I pulled the MP3 from the 'latest episode' though which was dated 21/03/2014. *Sigh

That was mentioned but that was the first fan who called in (if I recall correctly).

I agree with your comments Fozzy, well put.
