Grant and Bennett

Part of me really hopes these both come back on loan. To see a league two side with Dennis, Hemmings, Bennet and Grant in would just script promotion in my eyes and to be totally honest Grant could do a job in CM as well as LM. Bennett would be a perfect fit in a 4-3-3 or a partner for Hemmings or Dennis in a 4-4-2. Thoughts?

With out being negative I doubt they will return which is a shame

Mason Bennett is possible, I don't think Derby will be wanting to keep him and if we are lucky they may accept a reasonable bid for him - it all depends on the budget and coffers available.

I fully expect Jorge Grant to be playing League One football next season.

He mentioned after the Coventry play-off home tie that it's what he wanted to do and, I suspect there will be plenty of sides willing to give him a shot at that. Our only hope is the squad we are building, Forest and Grant may see the benefits of him playing football somewhere he's already established himself at - plus the serious bid towards promotion is something that can 'lift' a players career. If Forest aim to cash in on him, this would be more beneficial than a risky move in a league where he's untested.

@Chris Was confirmed on twitter today that we have ruled out a third loan spell at ML. As for Mason Bennett I do think he needs a fresh start somewhere to hopefully put his injury woes behind him. I could see Bennett at somewhere like Burton because I do get the impression he wants to stay local. Bennett seems to keep himself to himself and I think he would be a perfect fit in our team, to learn under the likes of Stead, Nolan etc. The pre-season friendly against Derby will be interesting, I fully expect to see him playing against us in that match and I think that will determine KN and AH mind up as to whether we give him a shot or not.

I had a idea he wouldn’t be returning but until now I always thought there was hope. Till now

Bennett maybe but we have 3 strikers now all vying for 2 spots.

most teams have 4 strikers, if we got bennett back we could manage his injury better due to the fact we have cover for the position. use him in rotation where his speed would cause a problem and not against dirty sides.

It's a shame that we can't get Jorge Grant back here for another loan spell, he will be a big player to replace but someone like Siriki Dembele could help to fill the void. The wider positions are a must area to have players who can lift the game, especially if we are to play the ball on the ground.

Mason Bennett I feel would also be a useful rotational player if we can keep him injury free.

I would be surprised if Frank Lampard didn't end up releasing him, as I do agree with @samwatto2008 that he needs a fresh start somewhere.

Reading between the lines of what has been said, I think the boat has sailed here. Alan Hardy said that Jorge Grant won't be returning and Mason Bennett seems unlikely now too.
