So with the Oldham game truly begins us and we have had time to mull things over my question can we take any positives from the Oldham game.?

Ross played well and we got a point .. and at the minute it may keep us out the releagation zone If Cheltenham only manage a draw

A clean sheet, good performance from Fitzsimmons, Turley and Boldwijn, it wasn’t too cold.

Thats about it.

The only player who grasped the game was Lewis Alessandra, Enzio Boldewijn in truth was isolated on the wing and very poor up front.

He won the ball back, tried to lift Notts but most of the players around him wasn't in the game. Rob Milsom tried but was empty. Elliott Hewitt should have been subbed and we greatly lacked Jon Stead and Kane Hemmings.

Second half Fitzsimons just kicked the ball to Oldham 99% of the time.

A keepers job is to save, so too much praise seems a little bit of a back hand to me.

@Chris fitz did play well but what worries me is I never see him marshalling his back line, keeper sees everything and good ones organise the defence.

Aye, he did play well with the saves but his distribution was poor when kicking. It's a massive issue for us because it invites pressure, plus he takes all the time in the world but still manages to blast it towards clusters of Oldham players are found.
