What do Osborne and Patching have to do

Osborne has 6 in 6 in the reserve team games and looks confident on the ball, whilst Patching keeps putting in stellar performances in the centre of midfield in the reserves

Meanwhile Hewitt (RWB), Milsom (CB) and Thomas (W) clog up the first team picture with inept performance after inept performance. I will not stand for these 3 doing the square root of jack every match.

I don't like the argument to do with them "being too young" because if you're old enough, you're good enough. Also in the great escape of 2014, Haydn Hollis came in to the first team for Dean Leacock and put him to shame.

No idea about Sam Osborne, I think Will Patching will struggle to get a place in the middle. He's too lightweight and doesn't work hard enough.

sam osborne should be given a chance imo, will patching has not looked great and i think he should be loaned out.

I don't know about him either but giving him a chance instead of the same old players.

Sam Osbourne should definitely be given a chance 6 in 6 is a good record and with us so low on goals that could help us he don’t do no worse than the rest right now.

Will patching let’s face it he ain’t been doing great but that could go for half the team so just give him a go and see what happens.

Thing is, Will Patching has been given several chances and he's never took them. When playing out wide he looked lost, in the centre he can play okay but he doesn't seem to mark or pick up anyone. Defensively he needs to work harder, attacking he's not much better than Elliott Hewitt.

They both rush, put poor passes and fail to flatter if you watch them enough.

I mean it's easy Patching should be playing but he's done nothing, I feel for Sam Osborne because he's the complete opposite. Pre-season he looked good, very eager and hungry to impress. He's not had the luxary that Will has done and yet despite not only playing well for the reserves he's not been given any form of reward. He's exactly the type of player who should be pushed, given time and chances to improve with game time.

Osborne deserves it and I hope he's given a chance.

Patching needs to work harder on his game for me, just because he played for Man City's academy shouldn't allow him to be selected ahead of people who graft - otherwise we have the same existing problem as we see now. i.e complacency. I'm not saying he will never be good enough, I just don't think he's focused or experienced at this moment in tiime. It's a risk playing someone who offers little or doesn't take chances as a way to impress.

You need players with ability and desire, Will Patching is a big let down and would do better in League One.

He's not your typical League Two player and struggles because of the time he gets on the ball, I would give Sam Osborne a chance though.

Perform better?

I don't know, this might be harsh on Sam Osborne who seems to be doing well for the reserves but that is a different class of football.
