The sale should be fine this week

I spoke to friend and he’s been told by someone reliable that the deal should be completed this week  there just in the stages of finalising the deal.

i know it’s no comfort but hopefully he is correct and we have the sale confirmed this week.

I am certain things will start to be revealed and that the takeover ends up completed.

Also, the people bidding for the club will no doubt have their plans and actions will be taken once done and dusted. If I was potentially going to be an owner of a football club like Notts, I wouldn't go into blinded or twiddling my fingers and thumbs. I'd be prepping for when it happens, business minded people plan.

A field where dreams become reality.

Oh no it isn't......

Hit back by that health scare, I hope the South African consortium manage to sort it out.

Can we be mindful not to sound like other places with "my friend said" or "this source says this or that". It will only lead to issues and as Alan Hardy found when things don't happen people have a mardy.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I'm starting to get a nagging feeling that Norman Smurthwaite will be our chairman come August. For a member of the South African consortium plus their broker to both fall ill is possible, but you can't help wondering whether there's more to it. Alan Hardy's statement that talks are continuing was also revealing - if the SA consortium had had a bid accepted and it was simply a case of taking care of legal formalities, what on earth could they still be talking about?

Hope this is an overreaction. I'm not keen on Smurthwaite as he sounds like a proper clown but the longer this drags on, the more I feel it will never happen. We've been here before.

I don't mind hearing rumours and hearsay as long as they're identified as such, so no problem with me.

I have the feeling that the only people interested are the ones we most fear, property developers seem to have an unhealthy interest in the club.

I don't mind as much when the rumour isn't important, I just think its a shame for what is a very professional site that would get criticism from a small minority who don't understand that things change.
