Ratings vs Hartlepool

Featured Replies

McDonnell 3 - Made some important saves in the first half but should have done better for both goals

Brindley 2 - The bloke simply could not be bothered

Rawlinson 5 - The poor guy had to make a run down the wing to try and get us going forward

Long 5 - Looked nervous at first. Was fine with the ball at his feet. A tough introduction

Kelly-Evans 4 - Tried but looked uncomfortable

Roberts 4 - Tried to get us going but couldn't

Rose 2 - Just drop him please. Offers nothing

Doyle 3 - Couldn't pass a ball today

Boldewijn 4 - No real opening for him

Dennis 4 - Not really in the game before being subbed

Wootton 5 - Tried to bring others into play and battled away without nothing coming off

O'Brien 4 - Offered nothing when he came on

Crawford & Osborne N/A - Not enough time to warrant a rating

if you look at the core of the ratings, it would suggest that the defence and midfield never got to grips with the game.

very poor performance.

hope the next game proves to be better. thanks @ARLukomski

I would welcome other fans ratings or thoughts, it's always good to see them.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

It seems every half dozen games or so we get one of these poor performances. The Ardley out brigade are out in force again, those who had nothing to say during a decent spell.

sadly I think we’ll slip away now due to the fixture gongestion and injury situation.

start afresh next season and see how we go from there.

If Notts are defensively poor, or the keeper isn't as commanding or confident as they should be. The midfield seems to struggle to get going, Hartlepool do the basics very well and love to attack teams.

We don't play well against teams which are focused on making ground, or playing directly.

Could the weather conditions have played a part? Of course, but for me it's irrelevant because you have to be focused. It sounds like we wasn't yesterday, it should be written off and encouraged to go again. I don't think we should worry, the squad is capable of picking up results and it's just a case of balancing results with the disappointment. If we allow negativity to creep in, then the playoffs would seem unlikely.

A field where dreams become reality.

McDonnell 2 - Clumsy and a bit lost, reminded me of Ross Fitzsimons last season but without real pressure.

Brindley 3 - Struggled to get into the game due to a mixture of things, he wants the ball too much in order to work.

Rawlinson 6 - Best player for Notts on the pitch, a few iffy moments but he made up for them.

Long 3 - Absolutely awful, no point having him as a defender if he can't actually do his role.

Kelly-Evans 3 - Looks a weak choice at left back, Hartlepool singled him out and he tried but he's clearly out of position.

Roberts 4 - Very little he could do.

Rose 2 - A zombie right now, well at least a zombie would attack. This guy makes defending look hard.

Doyle 3 - Never found time to influence the game, he looked like he was babysitting all of the players.

Boldewijn 5 - One of his better efforts in recent months, he defended well too.

Dennis 3 - Nowhere near the game, he can't be faulted.

Wootton 5 - Looked tired quickly, think he was made to do to much to early.

O'Brien 4 - Added a bit of quality but by time he came on he couldn't change anything.

Crawford N/A - Looked useful at times on the ball but a wasted sub made to late in the game.

Osborne N/A - Ditto
