Mostly a very detailed and worthwhile update, but I don't think Notts being a bigger club means we should get more of a portion of help financially than any other club in this league.

It does provide a more detailed insight into what is happening at the club, it will be somewhat of a comfort for fans to know.

I think the point is that the money is supposed to make up for the shortfall in gate money. If you normally get crowds of 500, you budget for 500. If you usually get 5000, you'll budget accordingly and the financial black hole will be bigger if the fans can't come. With the distribution of the money, the larger clubs are being left massively out of pocket while the smaller clubs are actually better off than they would have been anyway.

Yes, on the other hand Notts have a larger fan base and seem to be well supported via the streaming passes being sold.

It's a bit backwards but it's for Notts to fight.

I do feel its something the club could've kept to themselves if I am perfectly honest, knowing what some of our cry baby fans can be like.

Personally, I welcome the updates from the clubs CEO. Jason Turner keeps us well informed without putting himself or the owners in the firing line. It takes away what the last two previous regimes failed with.

I am thankful for them, as we get to see what's happening that we might not be aware of.

I can understand Jason's frustration, what's the point in providing financial details and loses for the league to then just literally hand out the money out as they please?

I thought the league's handling of the ending of the season and play-offs was poor; all the different votes, forgetting to send out ballets and just awful communication on the whole. This scenario just looks lazy on their part, like they couldn't be be bothered to read club's info they sent them and actually structure the financial packages accordingly. Instead they've just gone, top 7 have this much, the rest have this much. Bad. Bad. Bad.

I too understand the frustrations shared by Jason Turner.

It's not in the leagues interest to look after teams properly, but to make it harder for teams like Notts to manage which changes the ball park for the club effectively. Not being able to sign players due to being forced to balance the books, whilst other clubs have a better pay day and therefore can continue to progress.

think the government could do a lot more to help, but at the same time the leagues need to understand how to support people.
