Goals : Notts v Rochdale

Featured Replies

Their last goal stung, I don't think my nerves would've held out for extra time but losing like that hurt. I'm proud of our lads though!

@liampie I had to clap on their first goal, it was excellent but poor from our perspective. At least they didn't continue to run straight towards me, as I quickly found myself becoming defensive of incoming over the top celebrations.

Also, I thought Rochdale fans made it more enjoyable with their sing.

Yet I do hope we can get them back one day for singing "stand up if you're in the Football League". Amusing, and not annoying, like the Derby fans were in the PSF.

It felt like a game against two power house teams, but I will say that in the first half it seemed Rochdale could be on the end of handing out a spanking. The poor distribution, the clearances the keeper gave directly to them and the defensive wobbles.

Credit to Notts and Ian Burchnall for coming out stronger in the second half.

I think Notts looked a lot more classy all round but nothing takes away the strong team performance by Rochdale.

The first 25th minutes Notts defended very poorly, it clearly put pressure on the midfield as they struggled to get going despite a few brief chances. Rochdale played for the win, we fell short.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

First goal is poor, too easy to get the cross in and Andrews is not even challenged.

We’re a tadge unlucky with the last goal, Dion is trying to do the right thing passing it to Palmer. In hindsight he just smashes it clear and we don’t concede. I think Brinds has to go after their number 18 who it ricochets too though, that way Dion stays with the other player and they probably don't get that cross in.

The defending started off very sluggish and poor, it was a well worked goal for them but from the Notts perspective it should not have been so easy.
