I don't think it's fair to discredit how Morecambe played; they started brightly and really worked well as a team to get that early goal. There were shouts of offside and handball where I sat, but I couldn't make it out. The way they played a high game and literally made everything we tried to do early on much harder. It made us start the way we did, which wasn't good at all. I think early on, we needed to switch things but again, Morecambe had a gameplay, and they stuck to it. It made us work much harder, in a very ineffective way. We played far too wide, which meant it forced Notts into passing the ball around and Morecambe did this, so that they could put all their energy in making it difficult to make space to attack. I wasn't so much that we missed Jatta or Jodi Jones; it was a lack of adapting to Morecambe's game plan. I am not sure if we should have played three at the back, as this narrowed our chances of building at the back. Whilst I thought David McGoldrick was superb, he was isolated up top and although Notts tried to combat this with kicking the ball up to him. It came at the cost of being able to move in and behind Morecambe, tactically they wanted to keep the ball in front of them where our attacking players would be forced to overthink things. Conor Grant got a lot of stick, especially early on but again, Morecambe made everything much harder. We were missing speed, direct runs, and players creating space while utilising the channels. We would move forward, pass back, pass to a defender, then they would either pass to another defender or try to hit the ball up field. The idea wasn't bad to try to keep on the ground, but when it hit the air, it played into their hands. McGoldrick did wonders with trying to hold up the ball, but with how we were set up, and the formation meant that the midfield had to do a lot of unnecessary running. When the running became useful to making a good attack, due to the high amount of running it meant we made poor passes, ended up running into danger or just over ran until it was easy to pick the ball up. I thought defensively, we improved, but the passing didn't. The performance wasn't good in the first half, but credit must go to Morecambe who had a team game focus and wanted to make things more complicated. In the first half, I would like to have seen us try to push up and switch to four at the back. Make the wing backs retain their wide positions but get the defence to push up in support and encourage the midfield to make runs/movement in the centre of the park. The second half, I felt changes needed to be made in order for Notts to adapt to how Morecambe played. The changes Stuart Maynard made did help to influence the game; I do feel they were made later than I think they should have done. Jevani Brown infused the much-needed speed into our game. I think he should have started. I thought it was a shame Kellan Gordon didn't start, unsure why he didn't, but I thought he would have helped. Morecambe early tactics would see them start to lose ground, which they did and some of their players looked to be struggling fitness wise. The final 20–25 minutes could have seen Notts win, before we had an excellent one-on-one where Morecambe did well. I don't think the finish was the best and Morecambe still continued to cause us trouble at times, the disallowed goal was a bit of nightmare for the first minute or so, it did look like they may have scored a second. It wasn't a good performance, but it's a point I feel we should respect. The officials were disappointing, but tactically we could have changed to bring us more involved much earlier on. I thought Morecambe's defence looked quite weak, by the time they realised we had grown into the game they did start to put players behind the ball more/park the bus. Also, their antics with time-wasting, the officials should have clamped down on. It was a difficult game, Jatta would have had the same issue McGoldrick had. If we had Jodi Jones, he might have been able to shake things up, but the biggest issue in my eyes is the lack of space we created when in passing phases. Instead of working as a team to move forward, Notts allowed Morecambe to make it more difficult to play. A point is a fair result, it does feel like we should have got all three points, but then we left it late.

Unless I am told something by a credible source, I tend not to listen to rumours as they don't usually reflect on any truth. Sometimes there are whispers, which get passed around, and before you know it someone else expands on it. Until we know, we shouldn't worry. I just hope Jodi Jones is fine and not in any discomfort at this stage. As vital as he is to our team, his wellbeing as a person is more important. I do think, as someone else mentioned in the topic about Jodi Jones' injury, that it's becoming disrespectful. These people panning the fire and spreading rumours really should think. By this, I mean those who start them.

It's pleasing to see young players like Kameron Muir coming in, doing well and gaining a record which speaks volumes. I do echo comments about the club needing to make it count, and for it not to be a way to promote the EFL trophy but about giving good youngsters much needed minutes with the first team environment. Also, Stuart Maynard does deserve credit for going ahead and playing all 5 of them.

Knott seems like a very good scorer for us, a draw wouldn't be the worst result.

I need to start wearing my glasses more, I only need them at times, but I thought the picture was Ally McCoist at first. MK Dons have a weird way about appointing their managers: they seem to go on "names" with "reputation" and then they appoint managers who have earned promotion with other teams. Scott Lindsey did well with Crawley Town last season, but is he the right manager to turn their season around? This will be his third league club, so it's not a convincing decision - if I supported the plastic club I would be somewhat disappointed. Considering how poor they started, you would have thought they would go with someone with a bit more experience and a better track record with promotion. That's just my view. I might be wrong, but I don't see how he's any better than their previous manager.

It's going to be interesting to see how he adapts, it's like having a very extended holiday I would imagine but the United States team have been underachievers for some time. Most of their better talent is between the age of 22-26, but lack firepower up top. Haji Wright is a decent player with promising potential. They lack the Landon Donovan type striker mind.

I don't know much about him, but he sounds like someone worth keeping an eye on, and it will be interesting to see how he ends up doing with Burton and back with his parent club, Birmingham City.

I felt very impressed with him during the pre-season when he first arrived. I think there's a good keeper in Aidan Stone, but confidence is something which he seems to suffer from once he concedes a goal. I think he would flourish with our current defenders, as he would have a lot more protection, but Notts clearly want to move him on. Stone is a better option over Sam Slocombe. I like Slocombe but right now it's only his experience that keeps him as the backup. Personally, I think we gave up too early on Stone.

Unfortunately, during times of desperation people can do crazy things. I think it's likely to be true that some were melted down. This is something I have been told over the years, by fans who are quite involved with the club. It's a shocking thing to do, but I would imagine if they still existed it would be quite easy to locate them. It should be a crime, and that the trophies belong to the club.

I'm not sure what trophies no longer exist, but I am aware that during the early 00s it's believed some were melted down and sold. I have no idea why anyone would be so foolish to destroy parts of the club's history, even if we needed the money badly. I can't imagine they would have funded much. Not in terms of the costs involved with a football club. AH made claims that more had gone missing when he came in, I don't know if that's true or not. I am aware of some shady things, but it's not for me to repeat them, and I wouldn't want the hassle involved.

When you plan to meet up with someone, you give them the directions and your location. Then when they turn up they go, "So you were here all along, then?"

He was a nice lad, but I don't think he had the drive to make a career within the EFL. It wasn't so much his ability; I think he was quite nervous as a player and due to that he never pushed himself. I do think his time at Notts was a waste though. Being the son of a famous player has some weight, but I think an exceptional manager is needed to get the most out of players like Jack Barmby.

Yikes, it's a common issue with playing the ball out of the back. Alex Bass isn't afraid to boot the ball up, which is the right decision if you are being pressed. One of the defenders must have realised they were passing themselves into danger? The own goal is such an owler.

I hate it! The amount of times you would be trying to watch something, only for @super_ram to turn it on and take over the TV screen. There were some good memories, such as the score updates and the games which were on them. It makes you appreciate the earlier forms of the internet and other communication methods. My children wouldn't know how lucky they are to have mobile phones.

I agree with, @liampie. Sometimes back then the paint wasn't very good, so it was a lot more difficult in the heat of the moment to check your positioning. It's funny how he wasn't booked, but I do think the referee made a smart choice. I think things like this lead to stricter rules though, where the decision is less about the ref's thoughts and more down to the rules exactly as they are written.

Great win and start for our women's team. Proud that they have started strong, and I hope to continue to see the signs of their hard work in comparison to last season. They are looking likely to stay up, and the building process of the team is promising. Congrats to them for the win here!

I would say it's a mixture of not playing regularly and Jayden Richardson not applying himself, it's difficult for young players to find their feet once they leave their parent club - especially after being loaned out a lot. He really should have signed for a team that would play him, then show commitment to them by avoiding transfer's like the one he had to Aberdeen. I fully understand why he went, it was a massive opportunity and clearly the move came from his time with us - as they signed Cal Roberts too. Hopefully, he will now settle at Boreham Wood.

Manchester City will get off with it, which will make a mockery of the Premier League and the FA. They're only a big club due to the money that's been pumped into them, but because they're super wealthy they think it's fine to go about breaking rules. If this happened prior to the takeover, they would see much swifter actions and even clubs like Chelsea are punished almost instantly as the charges are given. It's making football look bad, and potentially it will cause further issues with other rich clubs trying it on. The Premier League and FA need to make the rules and laws of the game easier to take action. With the risk of delays from clubs fighting it has a punishment if they're in the wrong. Sometimes things do have a natural longer process, but once charges are made, then it needs to come down to facts and the punishment should be fitting of the issues. The fact Manchester City think they can get away with it, I think harsher penalties should be applied. The only thing I can see happening is them being given a large fine which means nothing to them.

I really hope this is the club where he can settle, and use his knowledge of the game to help them further. He sounds like he's doing a fantastic job, so hopefully we'll still see him in charge of them for another season or two, ideally longer but with a lot of changes in football. Ricardo Moniz is a fantastic coach, with his insight into the game, but it's right now where he's showing his class as a manager.

Over the years, a lot of footballers have come out saying they dislike. I think it's quite a common thing; there's been people who have stated they hate Neil Warnock. As for this, I don't know why you would complain about having a day off, but it does show a level of professionalism and commitment. Maybe he thought if Big Sam wasn't calling off training sessions the team would perform better? It's quite funny though, David Bentley who worked under him at Blackburn Rovers once said that Big Sam's approach to management bought the best out of him, and that he was the best manager who knew how to get the best out of him. The partying lifestyle, drinking culture and the social side does fit some players.

The past few weeks, my laptop has been sounding like it's about to take off. I was expecting a trip to the moon, or maybe I would be joining Tony on his holiday. I am sure that would have surprised him, but it was getting annoying. A common issue with gaming laptops, so I spent an hour just now deep cleaning the bloody thing. Removed the fans, gave them a good cleaning. Cleaned the motherboard, gave it a good once over with a mini vacuum Cheeky bought. Found quite a few bits of very large dust bits. Put it back together, everything is back to normal. I don't really like cleaning it. I must make a habit of doing it once a month. I won't be flying anywhere now, and nobody at home will be moaning about the sound. I'm starting to feel quite a lot better, but somehow I bit my lip whilst sleeping. No idea how you do that, without waking up. I still don't plan to over do the singing at Morecambe, but I am happy that I am feeling more likely that I am able to go.
