  1. This isn’t aimed at anyone here, but fans always say it’s about fitness. When Notts loses, or a player doesn’t perform well, or whatever else someone can find to complain about, they do. Likewise, if we win, some will expect more from the team and start moaning that if we’re not in a title race come Christmas, then we have failed. It’s just a game for Luke Williams to review things before the season starts. I’m interested, but I want fans to realise that this won’t give us any insight into how we may do in the league. Only those league games will determine that, and for once I wish people would try to sit on the fence a bit more.
  2. Under Williams' guidance, the players' resilience and positive mindset are clearly shining through. Success hinges heavily on the mindset of the players and their commitment towards improvement. These insights from Williams instill a lot of confidence in the potential of the squad to deliver great performances.
  3. The club statement noting Nemane's growth as a player resonates with fans who have watched him develop his game understanding and self-belief over the course of last season.
  4. Williams's transfer market movements reflect a well-thought-out strategy: bringing in league one quality players like McGoldrick and Crowley while bidding farewell to fan-favourite Rodrigues. While the latter's departure might sting, Williams’s balanced approach and aim to drive Notts County forward is commendable.
  5. It's inspiring to read about Mick Vinter's journey and how he made a name for himself in football.
  6. Cool to know that Nigel's grandfather saw the last game at Trent Bridge and the first at Meadow Lane. It's like Notts County runs in their blood!
  7. Dan Crowley appears to be a crucial signing. I have been reading about the clubs he has been linked with and it is surprising that the rumour sites never mentioned this for us. It seems that some League One teams’ fans thought he was going to join them. I feel it is a very good signing.
  8. Dan Crowley seems like the perfect signing. He performed well at Morecambe. When he joined them, I was surprised. However, since he is from Coventry, the move made more sense due to the proximity. We have many connections to Coventry, making us quite the Coventry club.
  9. Good player, good servant. It’s hard to use his age as an excuse to get rid, he works so hard and still plays like a much younger experienced person. His reactions might not be as quick, but his focus and drive are things you can’t be taught.
  10. Wow, this makes me want to laugh and cry. Cry because it’s horrible to see a player of Cal Roberts’ quality committing himself to that level. Laugh because it makes zero sense with where they are. There’s no guarantee that they will gain promotion. He’s wasting his vital years, even with his injuries.
  11. Money isn’t everything, but I think there’s a trend starting where players go back to their former team as a way to maximise their playing length. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it and I think MG is doing all the right things. He’s here to help us achieve something, which he could do at Derby.
  12. I do think that with the advancements in training and physiotherapy, some players are managing to continue their careers. The point Jim makes about Connell and MG is a good one. We need experience in the right quantity and we have it now. I’m looking forward to seeing some new faces and Kyle Cameron signing on for 2 more seasons.
  13. He was a good player for Notts. His smart play and tricks will be missed, but I don’t think we will be lacking in quality. We have always seemed to improve with our new recruitment and, whilst he leaves a big gap and some hefty boots to fill, someone else will step up. Onwards to League One, the Notts go!
  14. Yeah, he spoke highly of Notts in the article, which was quite enjoyable. McGoldrick's perspective was particularly engaging. Hopefully, he got off to a strong start, alongside our other players. It seems that this season could bring another successful campaign for Notts.
  15. Loyal fans come through family ties mostly, especially younger fans. If they make friends with people at Notts, then there is a chance it will become something embedded within them. The issue is keeping fans when we become average or poor, not that I think we will, but we have not had a real test yet since the Reedtz took us over.
  16. Some of the players would signal a huge amount of ambition if Notts were to try to sign any of them. Zac Williams, Di’Shon Bernard and Mamadou Jobe are all class. Signing any of these three would send a message to the league. However, I suspect League One teams would come in and turn heads.
  17. Great news for Notts County and Tiernan Brooks as he is called up to the Ireland U21 squad!
  18. This is an awesome signing. Randall is a beast who can dominate any midfield. He has strength, agility, balance and determination. He’s also a loyal and honest guy who will honour our shirt and our badge. He’s going to be an icon at Notts.
  19. It’s impressive to see teams like Doncaster Rovers and Shrewsbury Town achieving promotions after their playoff successes. Their hard work and dedication paid off in the end.
  20. Quite the non-league wanderer, innit? Thought he'd be kickin' about at a loftier level by now.
  21. I have read PON for years. I didn’t read it every day, but I came back when I saw @Fan of Big Tone was back. Things change and sometimes what made you upset goes away. But you think people still remember. I am happy to be posting again. I don’t think anyone missed me, but I am glad to be part of the group.
  22. Joel Taylor's goal from the video and their list of videos by Notts is undoubtedly the finest goal, only surpassed by John Bostock's against Wrexham.
  23. This is a huge boost for Notts County. Jodi Jones is an incredible player who can add a lot of value to our team with his passes and runs. He was sensational during his loan spell and I’m glad he’s staying with us for longer. He’s got a lot of speed and trickery and he’ll be a key player for us.
  24. Have to go for another back to back win, keep pressure on the teams around and hope Barrow slip up.
  25. Very good game, Aldershot looked good on the ball but awful where it mattered. I thought they would stun us but managed to hang in there. Grew in confidence once Roberts found the back of the net.
