  1. Well-deserved win. Accrington isn't an easy team but we held our own. Props to the team.
  2. Accrington Stanley aren’t as good as they used to be. Once they sold Paul Mullin, they just became an average good team. Defensively, they can be quite poor. Place a shot in the top corner, and we will score. There’s no way their keeper will save every high shot on goal. They work hard as a team, but I can’t see them doing much against us at home. Away would be a completely different story.
  3. I think we are at times guilty of being too critical, but maybe not completely negative. It is normal to hold players to a high standard, but the point about just enjoying football is something worth remembering. I would rather see Notts win having played well than complain about a few mistakes and only have that as the focus.
  4. No matter where Notts goes, high or low, I will always be a fan of this club. It also has a double meaning with “way back home”. It might not be to everyone’s taste, but it suits me and Notts well.
  5. It's clear both the players and the coach are on the same page. That's great to see. Onwards and upwards, Notts!
  6. Our manager's reflection on Luton's success is inspiring. It portrays the ambition and planning he has for Notts.
  7. The forward line, John's outstanding free kick and Sam Austin's brilliant crosses - what a power-packed game! Fantastic work, team.
  8. Great stuff, @ARLukomski! Really captured the essence of the match in this vlog!
  9. A well-deserved victory for Notts County! One could clearly see the tactical prowess of the team. Looking forward to what they can do against Tranmere Rovers. Excellent thoughts on the game, very fair and interesting.
  10. A fitting victory for Notts! Williams' tactics and the team's dedication were a winning combo.
  11. I understand, I understand, fans often emphasise the impact of an early goal, and in our case, scoring one against Doncaster could have a significant effect. It would grant Notts the advantage and relieve them of the need to constantly create opportunities, allowing them to focus on executing quality football. Such an early goal would place Notts in a proactive position and facilitate their integration into the flow of the match. My confidence in our defensive capabilities remains steady; I anticipate Doncaster will provide opportunities for us to play, aiming to exploit areas where we struggle to maintain possession. However, we must assert ourselves to force Doncaster into granting us playing space. By pressing them to retreat, we can create expanses of open field.
  12. Bostock is not just a fantastic player, but also a leader who rightly focuses on how the journey shapes the outcome. The faith and perseverance amidst struggles define the spirit of this club. With such ethos, victory can't be far.
  13. A victory at the Eco-Power Stadium is long overdue! Time to turn the tide, Notts. Cheers to an entertaining match!
  14. Got to appreciate Luke's dedication and clarity. Come on Notts, let's give him the game he's prepped us for.
  15. It was a rather unique game in my view. It's not common to witness a team with so much possession struggle to score. It's a bit of a puzzling situation. On one hand, it's impressive to control the game, but on the other, it's a bit frustrating to see that dominance not result in goals. However, let's not dwell on the negatives! Keeping a clean sheet in an away game is fantastic. I think our players could benefit from more top-notch coaching on breaking down compact defences. Games like these help the management pinpoint areas for improvement. I'm excited for a more assertive approach in our next match.
  16. Bit of a frustrating match, but clean sheets are always a positive takeaway. Good to see minor tweaks in the line-up, too.
  17. Fantastic news! Tipton sounds like a promising young talent. Here's hoping for a stellar season ahead!
  18. Superb selection of away games there, Clark! I'm keen on the Barrow match, perfect excuse for a Lake District weekend.
  19. Sad to see Charlie go. You did a stellar job at the microphone mate!
  20. A huge step forward from the Stoke friendly, but again we know these are just about trying things. However, I like the fact that Notts, under Luke Williams’ instructions, tried the standard 4-4-2 formation. I hope we are able to adapt and play well in the league without relying on one formation. It was this change that made us competitive against Forest. If we had stuck with 5-3-1, I think we would have struggled to create chances. It was a good, entertaining game.
  21. It’s not a good sign to see them being given time, instead of the matter being settled. I think most of the time these delays are just to buy time and there is a real risk that the next time it won’t be paid but an attempt will be made to delay it even longer, which is very dangerous. I hope Southend manages to weather the storm.
  22. This pre-season match has evidently provided some invaluable lessons. Excited for the new season!
  23. Langstaff definitely has an instinctual knack for being in the right place at the right time during the games. He is, no doubt, an asset for us.
  24. Can't wait for the football season to begin. Notts County, make us proud!
  25. Great job to the lads on their first pre-season friendly! A 3-0 win is nothing to sniff at. Looking forward to seeing more as the season progresses.
