  1. I used to consider going to catering college after my school years, but I don’t like how most chefs seem to act. I don’t have anything interesting to share, but @Chriss’s story reinforces my belief that it’s the wrong trade for me. As for @B&Wstripes, your story sounds fishy to me. Joking.
  2. pon is one of the best sites on the internet, so welcome to it! have fun joining in @Jeff johno.
  3. Fantastic to hear Jodi is with us until 2027. His dedication and skill will help us push for promotion.
  4. Our away fans are amazing. Their support at Hayes Lane could make all the difference!
  5. Looking forward to seeing Jones and Jatta back in action. Their commitment is truly inspiring!
  6. It’s a sign of wasted resources. They wanted him, but they’re not willing to put in the effort to make it a success. If he had started strong and scored goals every week, they’d quickly change their minds.
  7. I didn’t think he was anything special, but my memory of him is unclear. He might have done better if we’d had a more determined squad at the time.
  8. Clubs go through growth phases, and during those times, they often sign players who usually seem out of reach. I think Morecambe have gone through this, and now they’re struggling after losing players. I’m not sure if it’s due to budget issues, but keeping players shouldn’t be a problem, even with an embargo.
  9. We can't overstate how important this new deal is. I hope it's a straightforward contract without a release clause. He's crucial for our promotion and for building a strong team, which we're working hard to achieve. Getting the best out of Jodi is key.
  10. The attendances are good, but I hope there are plans in place if we aren't as successful away, and numbers start to drop. I don't want this to happen, but if we get promoted and then struggle or have to settle for mid-table, will these fans still come?
  11. That's very emotional and not what I expected. Football is showing it can make a difference in people's lives. Just look at the Vinny Jones adverts. Thank you, @Piethagoram.
  12. I know it’s a cliché, but early goals often change games. If Notts can stay on top of Bromley, chances should come. We have a good chance to keep our momentum going. I’d respect a point, but I want us to go for the win.
  13. Two things for me: we need to keep this strong start and the high work rate the players have shown. I agree, defensively we look solid, and it will be great to see how we continue. This is an excellent read, @TheSkipper.
  14. This is excellent, with very thorough answers. I truly appreciate it! It adds depth and makes for a fantastic read.
  15. I don’t think I will win this, but finishing with the most points for a round or two would be a nice target. ????
  16. I hope we see him back in the future with his job at Sheffield United. It would be good to see our youngsters take on his team. They are probably leaps above our level, but it would be good to see.
  17. Yeah, they did defend well in spells, and Notts played some really good football that put them under pressure. I do like how Notts throws waves of pressured attacks; it’s a sign of quality.
  18. There are so many good comments that I don’t think I could add anything different that hasn’t already been said. I think it’s great news for Notts and Jodi Jones. For our fans, it’s special too because it’s always nice to see a player up for an award. Personally, I think Stuart Maynard should be in the running for Manager of the Month.
  19. What league is Matlock in? I wish the pair all the best. It’s nice to see former players do well, especially when they came through our youth system.
  20. I am pleased for Jodi Jones. He works hard and always gives everything on the pitch. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but nobody at Notts can fault his effort.
  21. If I were the referee, I would have sent three players off. The foul was a bit daft.
  22. I can’t wait for the weekend, but I have my school routine now. It’s good to be back amongst my friends, but I would still prefer to escape it. I miss the free time. ????
  23. It makes you wonder if there should be a ban on certain bets, like those involving being sent off or getting yellow cards. Fixing a scoreline would be harder to do without being obvious, I would think.
  24. I’m not sure why, but the video refuses to load for me. ????
  25. Welcome to PON, @Alan Carnell. I hope you join in and be part of the community here.
