  1. This is why Notts fans should stop complaining about the Nottingham Post and simply avoid it until the paper learns from its mistakes. If the Post allowed Ollie to do his job properly, more fans might be inclined to purchase a copy. Newspapers are struggling because they fail to adapt to changing times. They either don’t write stories that appeal to their readers or they treat important news as insignificant. Ollie, on the other hand, has always seemed to do right by Notts fans.
  2. According to reliable sources, he is currently spending time with his family in the north of the country. It is unlikely that he is actively trying to pitch himself to clubs at the moment. Furthermore, it is also unlikely that any clubs are currently in talks with Notts. Not until he returns, the players always have 1 or 2 weeks off.
  3. Did I not mention it before? I spoke to several people close to Ruben, including his cousins, friends, mother and best friend. They all confirmed that he was on holiday in Talacre. This means that he is most likely going to sign for Wrexham. Get your pitchforks ready! But wait a minute... I never used to behave like this. @super_ram He's out of contract, nothing.
  4. Even though Jodi may not use your design, at least you had a good time creating it, @Chris. Keep doing what you love and expressing yourself through your art. I personally think it looks fantastic, but then again, I’m not even capable of drawing with MS Paint!
  5. I try to avoid getting up too early unless I have something to do before work. Otherwise, I steer clear of anything before 7am. I’m like a vampire, but instead of avoiding the sun, I need plenty of sleep and don’t like being woken up too early.
  6. Having 7 substitutes will make life a bit easier for Williams. It will give him more options during games and we may see players rotating between starting and coming on from the bench more frequently. It’s something the National League needs to modernise.
  7. Yes, I recall the username. Given that it’s easy to disappear from the internet, I assumed he had left, perhaps due to Notts’ performance at the time. To discover that he has been deceased all this while is quite distressing. Rest in peace, Pete. Who r ya?? You Pies!! Day.
  8. I’m over the moon that Jodi Jones has signed for Notts County permanently. He’s a fantastic player who can do it all on the wing: dribble, cross, shoot and score. He was a revelation during his loan spell and I’m sure he’ll continue to impress us. He’s a great fit for our club and our culture.
  9. I don’t use social media, Tony. I just read it. I’m not fond of the pond life that enjoys causing trouble. Twitter is full of trolls, including Elon Musk. I’ve gone one step further and followed you on here!
  10. I’m so happy for Jodi Jones. He deserves this opportunity after working hard and proving himself on loan. He’s a young and exciting winger who can create and score goals. He’ll fit in well with our style of play and our ambitions.
  11. It’s not uncommon for fans to use a VPN to get around geographical restrictions and access content that isn’t available in their location. However, I believe that all fans should be treated equally, regardless of where they live. No fan is more important than another just because they live closer to the stadium and can attend matches more frequently. There are many exiled fans on PON and I have nothing but respect for them. It doesn’t make sense to me that the powers that be would impose these restrictions - there’s no substitute for attending a real game in person! Fans who may not be able to attend matches due to distance or cost deserve the same treatment as everyone else. I don’t think it’s fair that overseas supporters’ groups are given VIP treatment just because they choose to fly over for one game.
  12. I must admit, when it comes to potential signings, I’m not the most knowledgeable. I wouldn’t know who to suggest or whether they would fit into our system, but it’s always interesting to hear other people’s thoughts on the matter.
  13. I used to listen to Match Day and I thought it was a great show. David Jackson did an excellent job of bringing the drama and excitement of match day to life. I enjoyed his narration and thought it was well done. In fact, I think you could remove the fan interviews and still come away with the same experience - the show was that good.
  14. For me, it has to be Taylor’s superb strike. I would have voted for John Bostock’s goal, but since it wasn’t listed in the Pride of Nottingham’s selection, I’ll have to go with Taylor’s. It was a fantastic effort and deserves recognition.
  15. While I don’t harbour any ill feelings towards Nottingham Forest, at the end of the day they are still our rivals and I don’t particularly concern myself with their progress. It’s always good to see local teams do well, but my focus remains on my own team.
  16. Nearly 5,000 games, eh? I can’t help but wonder how many of those were attended by the late, great Colin Slater. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at least half of them - though I’m only joking, of course. I bet he knew more about the early days of Notts County than some of the players who donned our shirts! He is sorely missed.
  17. The Non-League Paper has provided excellent coverage of Notts County. They have written some fantastic features about the club. I will certainly miss their coverage - it’s one of the best papers you could buy.
  18. ## Monday, May 15th Woke up at 7 am, feeling groggy and tired. Had a quick breakfast of toast and coffee, then rushed to catch the bus to work. Spent the whole day in meetings and answering emails, nothing exciting. Came home around 6 pm, ordered pizza and watched some Netflix. Fell asleep on the couch around 10 pm. ## Tuesday, May 16th (Work) ## Wednesday, May 17th (Work) ## Thursday, May 18th Woke up at 8 am, feeling refreshed and energetic. Decided to take a day off from work and go for a hike in the nearby park. Packed some sandwiches and water, and headed out. Enjoyed the fresh air and the scenic views, met some friendly people and cute dogs along the way. Took some photos to remember the hike. Got back home around 4 pm, feeling happy and relaxed. Cooked some pasta and salad for dinner, then read a book before going to bed. ## Friday, May 19th Woke up at 7 am, feeling motivated and ready to work. Had a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice, then got dressed and drove to work. Had a productive day, finished some important tasks and got praised by my boss. Went home around 5 pm, packed my bags and drove to Nottingham with my girlfriend. Checked into a hotel and had dinner at a nice restaurant. Went for a walk around the city center and admired the architecture and the lights. Went back to the hotel and cuddled with my girlfriend. ## Saturday, May 20th Woke up at 9 am, feeling happy and in love. Had breakfast at the hotel and then went to explore the outside of Nottingham Castle. Learned about its history and legends, took some selfies with the statue of Robin Hood. Went to a nearby pub for lunch and had some fish and chips. Spent the afternoon visiting some museums and art galleries, saw some interesting exhibits and paintings. Went back to the hotel for a nap and then got ready for a night out. Went to a comedy club and laughed at some hilarious jokes. Had a drink at a bar but didn't get drunk. ## Sunday, May 21st Woke up at 10 am, feeling relaxed and refreshed. Checked out of the hotel and drove to the Park Area of Nottingham. Walked around the green spaces and looked at the caves that are all barred off but fun to explore still. Imagined what it would be like to live in them or hide in them from enemies. Had a picnic on the grass with my girlfriend and enjoyed the sunshine. Drove back home around 4 pm, feeling satisfied and content. Made some chicken and rice for dinner, then watched a documentary on Netflix. Wrote this diary entry before going to bed.
  19. I think Notts will at least finish in the playoffs. The team has shown incredible skill and determination throughout the season, consistently delivering strong performances on the field. With their talent and dedication, they have what it takes to secure a spot in the playoffs and compete with the best.
  20. He’s incredible! Langstaff’s talent and dedication are truly admirable. He has shown an unwavering commitment to his craft and has consistently delivered top-notch performances. His hard work and determination have paid off in spades, and he continues to amaze us with his incredible talent.
  21. Jonathan Forte was a fantastic player with quick feet and great skill. He had an incredible ability to control the ball and navigate through defenders with ease. His agility and speed made him a formidable opponent on the pitch, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s technical ability was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always played with heart and determination. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.
  22. Today, I visited the park area near to the castle where Robin Hood and his merry men used to hang out. Maybe I’ll even find some hidden treasure or a secret passage. I’m currently heading to the oldest pub in England for a pint and a pie. I hope they have some live music or a quiz night. On Sunday, I will be in the city centre and again walking around the outside of Nottingham Castle since its closed. Looking in at what caves I might see from view. They say they are haunted by ghosts and legends. Maybe I’ll meet a friendly spirit or a mysterious stranger. After that, I’ll go to the art gallery and admire some paintings and sculptures. I love seeing the creativity and talent of other people. Maybe I’ll get inspired to make something myself. Then I’ll end the weekend with a relaxing walk by the river. Ahh, bliss!
  23. Welcome back, guys. As @super_ram mentioned, it takes courage to return and address why you left. Don’t let comments get to you. The majority of regular members will appreciate and support you.
  24. I think, or at least hope, that Jodi Jones will sign with us. He’s been an outstanding loan signing and fits in well with Luke Williams’ vision for Notts County.
  25. I really hope Jodi Jones signs permanently for Notts. He’s a class act and a valuable asset to the team.
