  1. Great news! I like that he’s agreed to a new deal as he could have easily been off. It leaves Aaron Nemane in question now. Will he commit or leave?
  2. His name makes me think of the tent brand ‘Vango Tents’. There’s not much activity going on right now that we know of, at least. The club is probably talking to potential signings.
  3. I have followed some members, the regular faces and people who are interesting. I may follow a few more myself. If this were Twitter, nobody would notice me.
  4. Hello, @rhodship66. Interesting nickname you have chosen, care to tell us about it? This just another welcome to PON.
  5. Well done, laddo, for being promoted to a Global Moderator position.

  6. No, it was just one drink. Nothing more. I would be lucky to have a few, but I did have one with a group of work friends.
  7. Go on Jodi! Run riot against the Three Lions and show Oxford United what they have lost out on while giving us a pleasing viewing experience to get over the departure of Ruben. Good luck!
  8. This is a brilliant story of a fan’s background and history of supporting Notts. He’s right, some fans are fickle, but many are superb and have backed this club all the way. Some just like to moan a bit too much; it’s more about their character. Great story.
  9. This article has many noteworthy points and Jim provides a polished and focused interview. I must say that when he eventually retires, I will miss seeing his name on the team sheet. On the other hand, I am excited to see O’Brien and Randall back in a Notts team again.
  10. In a perfect world, individuals like him would be removed from the country before they could cause any issues. While everyone deserves support, he is not our responsibility. I am tired of people who do not appreciate the United Kingdom. This said, he needs to rot in a UK prison.
  11. While I wouldn’t necessarily consider it the best signing, I do believe that Carl Dickinson could help Bury reach their potential given their current level. I wish both Carl Dickinson and Bury all the best.
  12. On Monday, I worked until 6pm before stopping by a nearby pub for a drink and then catching the bus home. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I finished work half an hour early and opted to relax at home, where I watched classic comedies such as Only Fools and Horses on Gold. On Thursday, I stayed at work until 6pm to ensure that all the shifts were properly scheduled. On Friday, I took the day off as I did not anticipate much business. Over the weekend, I spent my time pottering around the house and tidying up. As you can see, it was not a particularly eventful week.
  13. If the individual in question demonstrates even half the level of concern that Jason Turner did and is able to establish a similar rapport with the players and staff, then we will have found someone capable of carrying on his legacy.
  14. I appreciate Dion Kelly Evans' abilities. While I may not be as enthusiastic as some fans who have started fan clubs for him, I do believe that his speed and hard work compensate for any shortcomings he may have. However, if he is unable to secure a position on Boreham Wood's team, it is unlikely that he will return here. In the upcoming season, he may need to demonstrate more determination. If he performs well and puts in the effort, he may ultimately find greater satisfaction in staying.
  15. The fan was a silly bugger; no bet could get me banned from Notts. It’s not worth it. Besides, nobody tempted me during the ugly years when we were a poor man’s football club. I bet “his” friends weren’t around when we were average.
  16. Dean Leacock had a small comb tucked away in his shorts and briefs. Every time a corner came and he headed the ball, he would comb his hair - literally the first thing he would do.
  17. I do not recall any interest being expressed in this player before. I am unsure if he would be a good fit, but like others, it’s probably just a rumour.
  18. Jim is a very useful squad player. He comes on from the bench and gives his all. He starts and helps, keeping up with many of the younger players. I understand some fans’ point of view when it comes to his age, yet I see it as a blessing. He has so much knowledge of the game to pass onto others while still being able to contribute at a high standard. A few misplaced games here and there are nothing; he is largely more consistent than most. I am very happy.
  19. I am very happy that Jim has signed a new one-year deal; it sounds about right. He can reflect on how he feels and his body at the end of the next campaign. For now, he is a useful squad member.
  20. Farewell Ruben. You have given us the best three years of your playing career and scored many wonderful goals. Without touching upon your other contributions, all the best with moving on.
  21. Oxford United fans will be hanging on our every word, so we should be mindful not to praise Ruben too much. Leave them guessing! He’s a good player; they’ve done well to snap him up and get him to commit. I did think he would go to a bigger club - no disrespect to Oxford, but League One is about right for them.
  22. He took his time to decide it would seem. I hope he made the best choice and didn’t go to them because they offered the most money. I do feel it could probably have tempted him, but Oxford could get a good few seasons out of him. I don’t know if he would fit their style of play, yet I hope for his sake that they do.
  23. I used the topicfeed to post, it has duplicated my post here.
  24. It’s a fairly nice-looking award too, very nice suite. I am pleased for him. I bet it was a great night.
  25. In my opinion, it all depends on his role and the number of games he played. He performed well for Derby in a team that was pretty much forced together. I have decided to see the bigger picture and feel that if he can do well in that situation, his experience can help us in ours. It's important to consider the context in which he was playing and the challenges he faced. Despite the difficulties, he was able to perform at a high level and contribute to the team's success. This shows his resilience and adaptability, qualities that can be valuable in any situation.
