Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
I’ll be posting a new round tomorrow, sometime between 2 and 4. It’s more likely to be closer to 4, so make sure to check in at 2. If I haven’t posted within about half an hour, it will be closer to 4.

I’ve been capped by PoN
Congratulations on getting the cap, @Fan of Big Tone! I’m a bit jealous, but it looks nice. It’s also a pity it’s not a PON cap! However, that’s a very nice Notts one. Give it a few weeks to break in. Good luck will follow soon.

Match Discussion: Game 21 - The Saddlers (H)
I believe the main problem is that no one could pass effectively. Yes, we could exchange a few passes, move around, and get into a good position, but Notts were hindered by a tendency to go backwards. That’s the issue, it shifts all the thinking onto our defence, and teams are realising all they have to do is mark and press. Then we start making poor decisions and end up losing possession. The defenders are already panicking or aren’t as focused as we need. Then they score, which I thought was very poor. Aidan Stone did very little wrong, his kicking wasn’t great at times, but I want to see more movement, more desire, and more forward-thinking when it comes to attacking. We could have easily beaten Walsall had we not underperformed. Notts were shocking in the second half, and saying we underperformed is a massive understatement as we simply didn’t perform at all.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Apologies for the inconsistency. I intend to continue this, but I’ll be posting rounds as they conclude, rather than committing to two rounds per week. The next round will start promptly after the previous one ends. This was meant to be a bit of fun, but I admit I haven’t managed it as well as I could have. I hope @Fan of Big Tone, @super_ram, @Fozzy, @menzinho, @liampie, @Piethagoram, and others will participate. As promised, I’ll ensure to communicate when the next round will commence. Are you all still interested?

An escape from North Korea, an incredible read
North Korea appears to be a challenging place to escape from, so it’s heartening to hear that Mr Kim managed to overcome the odds. His story could make a compelling film.

On this day in 1864
I’ve noticed PON sharing this historical tidbit. I can see why the average fan might be confused, as they probably don’t research and just assume our formation date was 1862 when it was actually 1864. Even the plaque outside the Mercury Hotel is somewhat misleading.

Tifos (stadium displays)
I’m in favour of this idea too. Meadow Lane could look fantastic with some art like this, especially next to the large KOP flag. It would be nice to utilise the unused seats on match days in a creative way that looks better than empty seats.

weekend Plans - Friday 8th Dec - Sunday 10th Dec
As of today, I’m officially attending the match at Meadow Lane. I plan to meet @TheSkipper at The Embankment pub, then we’ll grab a bite before the game starts with @liampie. On Sunday, I don’t anticipate anything special. I think I’ll just try to stay warm.

Santa's wish list
I would be pleased if we extend Dan Gosling’s contract until the season’s end, despite his limited playtime. It could provide us with more options in midfield. Additionally, we could utilise Lewis Macari more and recruit another tall, straightforward, physical defender.

Notts 3 F*rest 2 ...41 years ago today
It would be a delightful day in Nottingham, witnessing Notts defeat Forest and observing the disappointed reds retreat to their basements or man caves. However, it might take a while before I see such a victory for Notts.

Countdown to Kick-off: Notts County’s Quest for Victory Against Walsall
All we desire is for Notts to truly show their skills in a strong display where they battle every second. It’s a great opportunity to gain points, but we must be mindful of our strategy against Walsall and ensure we put in more effort.

Where are they now - Enzio Boldewijn
In hindsight, Enzio wasn’t as good a signing. He scored important goals that saved us at times, but people will remember that more than his poor performances. I thought there was potential in him, but he never really shone beyond being average.

Player Performance: Who Stands Out in the Starting 11?
Dan Crowley is the most consistent player so far. He’s excellent with the ball and gets better as the game progresses. He might be quiet at times, but he’s usually one of the four players that gets us going. Even when others aren’t playing well, he’s still one of the best players on the pitch.

Should the Reedtz buy the land in which Meadow Lane is built?
Now that I understand the current agreement better, I think it’s fine because it allows us to grow. I wonder what would happen if Notts tried to buy land around the ground for further work. I hope Meadow Lane remains a traditional four-stand stadium. If we move up the leagues and attendance increases, we might need some work done.

Match Discussion: Game 21 - The Saddlers (H)
I feel we might underestimate Walsall, and they could surprise us. They have several good players and a tall squad. They just haven’t clicked yet. I don’t know much about the club’s background or if they have issues with recruitment or money, but I expect them to come prepared to Meadow Lane.

Notts County Skipper Kyle Cameron Reflects on the Season So Far
The Skipper, Kyle Cameron, spoke honestly in his pre-match interview. He shared his feelings and how the team has been working on their defence. I think they’ve been training hard. The interview with Luke Williams was earlier than usual, maybe because they wanted to focus more on this area. I think the Skipper did well.

Ipswich Town goal : Wesley Burns
Oh, I could watch this goal again and again - what a lovely finish!

Weekend Plans 1st - 3rd December
I didn’t do much, mostly just surfed the internet, watched TV and films. It was nice to have a weekend where I could do whatever I wanted. With Notts having played the Friday before and the snow, it wasn’t like I was going to go out again.

Thoughts on last nights defence
We need to find ways to work with the existing players. Making bad choices doesn’t always mean they’ve lost focus. This is something I wish Luke Williams understood. He’s right about most things, but he keeps insisting it’s a lack of concentration when it’s more about not reacting well to pressure.

EFL to clamp down on Matchday Vloggers
I understand, but I don’t agree. The problem is all these popups that seem to think they can make money or are doing it for some other reason. How many vloggers does one club need? We are also attracting many people who pretend to have a genuine interest in our club. They are not supporters, but they come here to try to get views because we were successful last season. Personally, I only watch @ARLukomski because he’s been doing it for a long time. He puts in time and effort, he’s not cringey, and he shares his views, which you can often relate to. Some make cheesy thumbnails as if they’re 15-year-old girls doing makeup videos, pouting and acting all shocked. It just seems fake. I don’t think these should be allowed. People like ARLukomski should be okay in my opinion. I’m not biased, as I don’t really know him, but I do appreciate what he does here.

Goal : JO'B v Crawley
He deserved the applause when he left the field. The chant for him as he departed made his goal even more memorable.

Luke Williams on Nurturing Notts County’s Future Star, James Sanderson: ‘I’m Very Enthusiastic About What He Could Achieve'
I wish Luke Williams keeps on introducing young players. We should aim to shape these players for first team roles. Teams like Crewe have done well in the past by knowing their needs, like a left winger. I believe we are about three seasons away from seeing a youth player take on a part-time role in our first team. We just need one player to pave the way and show it’s worthwhile.

Introducing James Sanderson #Notts
He had a great debut, performed well and his strike was truly impressive. I hope he gets more playing time in the future, as there’s so much to learn from being on the pitch and being part of the squad. He’s definitely a promising talent and if we can develop him to contribute more consistently, that would be fantastic. However, for those fans who see this clip and start comparing him to Messi, it’s important to remember not to set unrealistic expectations. Let’s just cheer him on and support him, shall we?

Perhaps Notts's worst goal keeping calamity
@Piethagoram I'm now holding you responsible for the FA Cup performance. It seems the defenders were trying to outdo the goalkeepers! They were after your title of 'worst defenders'. Just a bit of fun, of course! ????
