  1. From what I saw in the highlights, Notts County's defense looked disconnected and made very poor mistakes that led to all three goals for Wrexham. It didn't seem like Wrexham was a better team, they just handled the occasion better. The most disappointing thing from my perspective is that Notts County threw away a perfectly good lead due to mistakes that could have been avoided. Notts scored two good goals, but Wrexham made them work hard for those goals. Wrexham made the mistake of handling the ball near the end, but they didn't get punished for it. However, Notts County's poor defending only punished themselves.
  2. Was that not Michael Petrasso? As far as I remember, Zeli Ismail scored a couple of penalties, but I don't think he ever played exceptionally well beyond the level he was expected to perform at.
  3. It's not really a matter of the other team being better, it's more about how they handled the situation and made the most of the support from their home crowd. I watched the highlights and all of the other team's goals made it seem like Notts County couldn't defend well. For example, the first goal was confusing because our player fell down too easily. On the second goal, nobody was guarding the far post and the goalkeeper had no chance when they were left wide open like that. The same player who fell down easily for the first goal also made a mistake for the third goal. Their poor defending was really apparent.
  4. It would have been great if the club had stayed in the top position, but the fact that they managed to close the gap and even briefly take the top spot, despite the odds being against them, is still a success in its own way.
  5. It looks like Luke Williams has found a good way to handle fixture changes by not letting them become a distraction. This allows the club to focus on what really matters, rather than getting caught up in a debate that doesn't affect the season.
  6. I have seen pictures of Meadow Lane, it was nice to see the stands brimming with fans.
  7. It's encouraging to hear positive news about the injury front. Hopefully, whoever starts in goal will be fully fit and ready to perform. If the regular number 1 is carrying a knock, it may be wise to rest him unless he is capable of fulfilling his role to the best of his ability. It's important to prioritise player health and well-being, especially if it means avoiding further complications or prolonging the injury. Ultimately, the team's success is dependent on the collective effort of all players, and ensuring they are in optimal condition should be a top priority.
  8. The club looks able to move forward, I am hoping this seasons doesn't go to waste but I would agree the club is in better hands now. Moving forward and growing in confidence here on should be easier than at the start of the campaign.
  9. Very enjoyable and good insight in to German food, one of these days I will have to take a holiday there.
  10. Very good insight into that period of the clubs history and of course the managers short stay at Meadow Lane. Where was Notts at the time he ended up getting the axe?
  11. Very amusing blog, several times I laughed out loud and I can’t believe I didn’t notice this sooner. Is the food good at German grounds? I imagine the beers fantastic.
  12. Superb pictures!
  13. @ARLukomski You may not read this, but I can safely say I will miss your coverage of the games with these videos.
  14. Superb article, Kyle Wootton is a force to be reckoned with and a player we have to enjoy whilst he’s here. He seems to fit well in Ardley’s tactics, I think that’s why he plays so much.
  15. Aldershot seems like a bigger result now that the leagues been suspended, if it resumes it could be here that decides between playoffs or automatic. I know, it’s a long way off.
  16. The wins just keep coming, winning 4-0 is a good achievement and a sign of the squad growing stronger together. I am looking forward to the highlights.
  17. There’s little to no panic over here so far, barely made the news. More mentions about Donald Trump visiting x, y or z.
  18. Good win, I know I’m m late to the game in terms of replies but inbox surprised you all didn’t hear much cheering to this result!
  19. I'll be listening to the coverage online via the PiesPlayer, I think Notts might be the team setup to be defensive. I can see them attacking from the word go, they might not be able to break us down easily but I think a side like them will have done their home work.
  20. It's been mentioned, but it's not dominant in the US news. I believe they have a new case but reports are few and far between. Just clean your hands with soapy water or alcohol based hand cleaner and, avoid coaching or sneezing on someone else. That's how it spreads, no fear if you take the right precautions.
  21. Poor result but only because it seems Notts never got going, I don't know how much the weather impacted this but I thought Notts would have done better. We can't be too disheartened.
  22. I am tempted to subscribe to the Piesplayer but I am unsure if I would be able to benefit from radio coverage. I watch the updates via Twitter but it's incredibly slow for a site that prides itself on being "quick". It's hard to get into matches, yet I read a lot and the jist I got was the Yeovil wanted to play a bit undermining but Notts prevailed. Winning a game with only 9 men on the pitch shows a lot of character, it's a good result.
  23. It’s easy to say focus on the league, but doing well in a cup can build excitement and anticipation. Winning does breed confidence, so I hope Notts wins at this stage.
  24. The result is a very good one, I didn't expect Notts to beat Chesterfield 3-0. I thought Chesterfield would have put up more resistance and took the game to Notts, it could be a very important win come the end of the season.
  25. Good insight, different read that is informative and interesting. You did a good job Alex with this. I haven’t seen you on PON before, I hope to read further content.
