  1. Hello, welcome to PON @NorthPie. Thanks for joining us.
  2. Welcome to PON, @Bryn Roberts. I hope to see you around the site.
  3. Delroy Facey. ????????
  4. Up until now, I've found the coverage I've listened to quite enjoyable. It's not overly difficult to make mistakes – you simply describe what you observe and make an effort to recall the players' names. Most individuals who have been prepared for the role should be capable of stepping in and performing well; I believe Adam has excelled in this regard. Dave, on the other hand, is in a league of his own. He is highly skilled on the microphone and presents himself as a gifted speaker.
  5. There is indeed a different energy around the club. The player-fan connection is palpable and there's a sense that we're moving forward as one cohesive unit. Loving it!
  6. Absolutely right. The support of the fans is essential for a good match. The players draw strength from cheering fans. Always special to hear our names sung at the ground!
  7. Great vlog! It effectively portrays the day, and it's nice to have a video that emphasises the volume of our fans in the Doncaster away section. The victory was fantastic, and it's heartening to witness fans enjoying themselves. Well done, @ARLukomski.
  8. What a cracking match! Langstaff and Jones were absolutely stunning.
  9. I applaud Notts for their phenomenal performance. While Langstaff was the obvious star, I was equally impressed by the whole team's synergy and discipline on the pitch. The defence was a solid unit, and Brindley's return added strength and reliability we were looking for. It was a commendable team effort indeed. In anticipation of the match against Tranmere Rovers, keeping our defensive formation steady and utilising the capability of Jones on the left flank will be key. Additionally, the prospect of introducing Nemane back into the line-up sounds promising. Winning consecutive games could be a massive boost for the team's morale, so fingers crossed!
  10. Nothing beats the thrill of an away win - especially a dominant one like this! Good pictures.
  11. Macaulay Langstaff's successful first couple of FL goals have established him as a formidable presence on the field. His striker's mentality is clear, patient yet assertive, always seeking scoring opportunities. His affirmation about doing something right even without chances reflects his determined outlook. His unyielding confidence, even during tough times, is truly commendable. Langstaff embodies the qualities football requires: composed yet dynamic, patient yet relentlessly focused on improvement.
  12. Welcome to the PON forum and site, so hello @JC1966.
  13. Some of the staff in the club shop are excellent, but just like most areas the club has no training for situations like this. How the shirts sold out, it might not have been predictable but it could have been handled better. I am glad you got your shirts, plus I respect that you won’t complain when you do have a strong reason to be disappointed with the customer service. I think that’s the key word, some staff members do not realise it’s a customer service-based role.
  14. I appreciate John Bostock, it’s nice to hear a player speak well of a former team. I do think it was a topic that he didn’t quite want to discuss but he answered the questions excellently.
  15. Whilst I understand the frustration with not being able to retain a clean sheet, there shouldn’t be any negatives about this game. I am not suggesting fans shouldn’t discuss the goal or other matters, I don’t deem that to be negative. Yet saying we played poorly after winning 3-1 is baffling. I thought Notts grew into the game, they performed excellently as a team and we looked steady. At no point did I feel they would score, but they did. We have to accept that, mistakes will happen from time to time but provided we play well and work hard the points will keep coming. Have some faith.
  16. Great performance, Notts grew into the game. The first goal was excellent, I thought the free kick should have gone straight in but I can see and appreciate what they were thinking. I thought the squad put in a real team performance today. Whilst Doncaster looked like a park team and were thuggish at times, I thought Notts handled the situation well. The referee was a clown and should have booked them more than us but we overcame his poor officiating. Credit to Luke Williams for his decisions on the line-up and for getting Notts to lift the intensity of their performance.
  17. Continuing our unbeaten run is important, but more than that, we absolutely must start turning draws into victories. We've shown our prowess in possession; the next step is to convert that into clear scoring opportunities.
  18. I fully agree with the sentiment of not underestimating Doncaster Rovers. Despite their poor start, I believe they won't be an easy opponent. It's essential for Notts to start strong and maintain the momentum throughout the match. An early goal should help set the tone for the rest of the game.
  19. Welcome @helcat!
  20. Hello and welcome, it's always nice to see a new member on PON @zaradek.
  21. I just had to chime in here. The love for Notts County that Julie and her family displayed so vividly moved me. This story is really an ode to the far-reaching impact one shared interest can have: creating deep bonds across generations and fostering memorable experiences. The power of football, indeed!
  22. It was certainly a game that won't be remembered for a display of attacking prowess from either side. With the potential we possess, I believe we could've been more demanding on their defence.
  23. Hello to you @MagpieRoy and welcome to PON.
  24. Certainly a tricky match, with Morecambe putting up a valiant defence. What struck me, however, was the sheer determination and creativity displayed by players like Nemane and O’Brien. Their spirited efforts to unsettle Morecambe's defence were commendable.
  25. What an exciting match! Notts showed great resilience in coming back from behind twice to seal all three points. I left Meadow Lane very happy.
