  1. Yes, I’ve just cast my votes for my two choices and I’m pleased to see this back. It never bothered me when I wasn’t nominated, but it made my week when I was. This must create a positive atmosphere within the community.
  2. Wimbledon seemed dangerous before their first penalty, but that decision caused Notts to crumble. It took a while to get back into the game, with Notts striving to level the score. We seem to have those self-doubts that held us back from gaining promotion from the National League. We went from scoring freely to crumbling after a defeat. Either way, Notts must improve defensively. I won’t single out individual players, as it’s the team that’s at fault. If we had played better earlier and created better opportunities, how differently could we have controlled the game if Notts had scored first? On to the next match.
  3. Can these experts figure out why Notts crumbles and concedes matches in the way we do? Yes, we missed Aden Baldwin today, but we need to defend better.
  4. I didn’t attend, but I have listened and read the piece @TheSkipper wrote, which I thought was excellent. Notts really did host a good fans forum, which adds excitement for those who attended and for some of us at home who see the progress of the club. I can’t express enough gratitude towards Luke Williams and the Reedtz brothers.
  5. I’ll be listening to the game on the radio tomorrow. I don’t have much planned, but I won’t miss the game. I hope Dave’s covering it, I like his style when he does the commentary, he works well with Mark Stallard. Sunday is my day to relax and take the day as it comes.
  6. Why would the players’ religion matter at all? I can’t see why anyone would stir up trouble over it. It’s either fools or the BBC spinning it. I would be very disappointed if it’s a minor issue that’s been blown out of proportion. I would expect this from the Nottingham Post, but not the BBC.
  7. I’m not as familiar with Wimbledon, but I did notice they started the season quite well, competing with MK Dons. I think they’ll want to outperform them against us, but I’m still hoping for a win for us. We need to keep the cards to a minimum and create opportunities, we don’t need any more suspensions.
  8. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Max Roberts. Its good to have you here.
  9. Hello! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, I have sure you will enjoy the site if you get involved, @Darryl Chapman.
  10. It's going to be a challenging game. AFC Wimbledon's lack of consistency is worrying, but we've seen flashes of what they're capable of. However, Notts County's attacking and defensive balance should help them get an upper hand.
  11. The improvements made on Saturday significantly enhanced the service, providing ample room for social interaction. It evoked memories of the bar found at Salford and numerous other clubs. This experience certainly surpasses being squeezed into a single area.
  12. We’re on the brink of a pivotal moment, aren’t we? That match against Bradford City, it’s more than just a game. It’s a beacon of hope, a potential turning point that could set the course for the rest of the season. A win here, and it could spark a wave of confidence, a surge of momentum that could carry Notts County forward. The anticipation is electric, the hope is tangible. You can feel it in the air, see it in the eyes of every player. They know what’s at stake. They’re gearing up, ready to give it their all. And us, the fans, we’re right there with them, our hopes intertwined with theirs. That’s the magic of football, isn’t it? Every game is a new opportunity, a chance to change the narrative. And for Notts County, this could be that game. So, here’s to a match that we’ll remember as the one that marked the beginning of a spectacular turnaround. Up the Magpies!
  13. Football, it’s a game of moments, and for Notts County, the upcoming match against Bradford City could be one of those defining moments. It’s not just about the three points; it’s about the potential shift in momentum, the possibility of a season-defining turnaround. The anticipation is building, the stakes are high, and the players are undoubtedly feeling the weight of the occasion. They’re stepping up their game, ready to fight for every ball, every inch of the pitch. And we, the fans, we’re there with them in spirit, our hopes riding on their performance. That’s the beauty of this game. Every match is a fresh start, a new chance to write history. And for Notts County, this match could be the start of a new chapter, a turning point that we’ll look back on as the moment when the tide began to turn. So here’s to a game that lives up to the hype, a game that we’ll remember as the catalyst for a remarkable comeback. Come on you Pies!
  14. While our team’s success will inevitably lead to speculation about our players and manager, it’s important to remember that the media thrives on controversy and the reactions of disgruntled fans. It’s crucial to remain calm, manage our emotions, and maintain faith in our ability to adapt to any changes. Even if Macaulay Langstaff departs, we will persevere. As long as we have Notts as a club, nothing else truly matters. Let’s keep the faith, shall we?
  15. Lawton’s extraordinary transfer to Notts County in 1947 is a testament to his character. Choosing a Third Division team over potentially more profitable options was a move that had never been seen before, driven by his pursuit of equitable remuneration. The influence of his friend Arthur Stollery is a clear demonstration of the importance of relationships and respect in a player’s career, alongside the game itself.
  16. It will be a challenging game, but we have sufficient options available to us to maximize our performance. In my opinion, we should focus less on the absence of certain players and instead motivate the ones we do have to elevate their own performances.
  17. Gosling's arrival has brought a renewed sense of excitement. His extensive experience in Premier League, coupled with his known playing abilities, make him an invaluable asset to the team. His experience is not just beneficial for his on-pitch-contributions, but also in serving as a mentor, guiding less seasoned players to better their performance.
  18. Dele Adebola played for Alexandra too.
  19. The success of Football Radar would undoubtedly be beneficial for the club, as we certainly utilise the resources they provide. A significant portion of our coaching team previously worked for Football Radar, which is advantageous. Given that it appears to be the primary company and income source for the brothers, its success will inevitably enhance our situation, despite them being a separate entity.
  20. It’s not just Gosling’s obvious talent that excites me, but his positive attitude, work ethic and genuine excitement for Notts County. Choosing to step out of his comfort zone, even after having a career in Premier League and Championship, is something that reveals a lot about his character. The excitement he's bringing to the team, when combined with the quality that our recent signings bring, could indeed lead to a very successful season. Notts seems to be developing a squad that's not only talented but also high-spirited and desire to play on a regular basis.
  21. Baldwin’s post-match commentary showcases a man of wisdom and resolve. Admiring the character shown by his teammates, he highlighted the grit and determination necessary to be victorious in this tough physical sport. His praise for Connell Rawlinson robustly demonstrates his acknowledgement of Rawlinson's character.
  22. I regret to say that those responsible for the disruption seem to lack empathy and may be misguided to target such a welcoming platform. Their actions could be driven by ill intentions. I was relieved when the site was restored, as I had been puzzled about its absence. When I saw the maintenance page, I simply thought there had been a technical issue. It’s comforting to see the site back and functioning efficiently. I truly missed browsing and reading PON. It indeed holds a unique charm.
  23. Richard Brindley thanks to the PON match preview.
  24. This provides a reasonable glimpse into Luke Williams’ perspective on the match. We could have simplified things, but the challenges indeed intensified the game. Notts demonstrated quality, both in advancing and generating opportunities.
  25. It's great to come across such a pleasant and enjoyable tweet! We wish Neil Warnock all the best as he enters his retirement phase. It's evident that his passion for the game drives him, as it's unlikely that he's motivated by financial gain. This time around, it would be wonderful to witness him finally taking a well-deserved break and relaxing.
