  2. It's a good game. Makes you think. Tests your player knowledge. Question If a hint is used, Should my attempts shown on my result be classed as three instead of two? Do you just get one hint or are you allowed more than one hint?

  6. Richard sat down with the Notts media team before the Match against Doncaster on Tuesday evening. He reflected on a busy summer transfer window. He discussed the three recent acquisitions, Finneran, Longelo, Kanu. He talked about some of the players that left. Richard always comes over as a very positive person and this interview was no different. Listening to the interview I get the feeling that the club is pleased with the players that they managed to recruit. He talked about having regular meetings with Martin Paterson, sometimes several times a day. There was also a hint of good news that Palmer, & McDonald could only be a few weeks away from being in a position to be selected if needed. Sanders & Browne not a million miles away. Whether he is being optimistic or not, it does seem that the players are working hard to regain their match fitness
  7. Pity things didn't turn out for Kelle at Notts. After he had played his last game for Notts before Belshaw took over Notts were in seventh place on 39 points from 24 matches. His stats as far as goals conceded & clean sheets were comparable with Belshaw's at the end of the regular season. He demonstrated that he was a good shot stopper. I think that what let Kelle down was his apparent lack of command of his area & it seemed that the Notts defence became much more confident when he was replaced. The club have wished him well for the future and so do I. He did contribute to us getting promotion during the first half of the season.

  9. I think that we saw Jodi at his best under Luke Williams and Stuart Maynard. Under Luke Williams the emphasis was on attacking and scoring more goals than the opposition. Jodi was in his element with this footballing style. I don't think that we saw the same Jodi under Paterson apart from a few glimpses such as the playoff final. I think that Jodi was less comfortable with the current Notts style of play & I don't think that he was going to get a regular spot in the starting eleven this season. I think that it was the right time for him to move on.
  10. I think that it has been a very interesting transfer window as far as Notts are concerned. The players that have been brought in are a fair reflection on how Martin Paterson wants his team to play. Fifteen players recruited in a transfer window is a lot of players, who I believe have fundamentally changed the way that Notts will play. The playing philosophy of Williams & Maynard has definitely gone. I think that the owners have realised that there is still room for a few flair players, but the overwhelming number of players in the squad now need to have a relentless work ethic, which includes mental & physical resilience, commitment, & competitiveness, traits that Martin Paterson wants in his match squads We've already seen those traits working to the full in the first five competitive games of the season & it has proved to be very effective in carving out positive results for the Club.
  11. Good morning all. We are halfway through the new week already. Do you think that a Notts midweek match makes the week go faster? I do, in just a few more days the next match will be upon us & what a big match that is going to be.

  15. He has plenty of League One experience & his signature gives Martin Paterson plenty of options. I think that he will be much better defensively than Jodi Jones. Jodi is Jodi but I think that Longelo will be the kind of player that fits into Martin's way of playing.
  16. One thing you can say about Martin Paterson's teams. They have a never day due attitude. It is going to serve them well in this division if they can keep it up. My standouts against Doncaster are Ness, Cooper, Finneran & Roberts who made an instant impact when he came on. I'm going to give it to Cooper who had another very good match in my opinion.
  17. Notts remain unbeaten after what turned out to be a hard fought draw. Kanu made his debut when he came on in the 2nd half. So who is your PON man of the match? Vote for your favourite from all the players who were on the field for Notts.
  18. Roberts & Kanu on the substitutes bench. Grant in the starting eleven. It looks a strong side tonight and the subs bench is very useful too COYP!
  19. It is sad to see him go. He will always be remembered as being a key figure in us returning to the football league, then getting promoted to League One. He is a Notts County icon and I wish him well in his new career path.
  20. A brilliant article. Cal has a special place in the hearts of the Notts supporters. I would like to thank the powers that be at Notts for brining him back. Some players have a knack of being able to produce a moment of quality and flair & Cal is that type of player along with Jodi Jones & Macaulay Langstaff. But it's not just the flair and the quality, it's about how they resonate with supporters on an emotional level too. I think that Cal has a big part to play this season, & along with the new signings that the owners have recruited, it's going to be an exciting season.
  21. @KingofCounty If that's the case and he is recruited by Notts, Martin Paterson will soon change that. It's his way or the highway.
  22. You make some excellent points there.
