  1. they are one of the teams who continue to compete back and fourth with being in the premier league, i wonder how much their financial issues are as a result to this.
  2. first half was a very good 45 minutes, but even though i think notts could have put the game to bed then. i do think its sometimes how games go and their pitch is one of the worst i have seen this season. i thought it was good how it did not make us sluggish, but i could see them growing in strength and the disappointing thing is allowing them to claw themselves back into the game and then to losing in a game we should never have been in that situation. fleetwood played some good football, but i think we were a lot more lively and looked the better team. we just struggled to adapt to how fleetwood changed things in the second half, and some of our own players did not ask enough questions.
  3. i love going to visit my family up in scotland and on the isle of man, there is a lot of beautiful scenery. i do want to take time to look around england, but i have always found scotland to be very peaceful. there is some great pictures in the article.
  4. whenever crypto is mentioned in any business sense, i automatically assume its going to go bad. all these scams, its not exactly something that shouts reputable.
  5. are they still in trouble with their owners? italian owned? not investing into the club? i know they seemed to do a fair bit of business at the start of this season but i have lost track of where they are in terms of financial issues.
  6. even if george abbott does not make it with spurs, i think he will attract interest and still end up as a very good premier league player even if he has to play in the championship for some time. hes a class player, and i hope his time here helps him to establish himself in the tottenham team.
  7. i have not watched it, i dont watch a lot of tv. usually its just the dramas and documentaries that interest me. i know the show, but i dont like the host.
  8. budget and the squad is two things, and is not always equal to the success but i do think that a lot of fans do have unhealthy or unrealistic expectations. some of it seems right considering the squad we have, other bits makes me unhappy with how some make themselves seem like notts have earned promotion without playing a single game. i think notts should stick with stuart maynard, provided we are moving in the right direction. he can learn a lot and the only thing which would make me reconsider is if we were to plummet and show no signs of being a good team. i do think the football is much better under maynard, he has struggled with injuries and tactical decisions of his own but at this level hes perfectly fine. sacking maynard without proper reason could undo what he and previous managers have done. if we dont get promoted, fine. if we end up in the playoffs it can be a lottery and i think we have seen under the reedtz that the club continues to move forward.
  9. i think it could be a good thing but it depends how serious notts are about it and if they can get the right people to take the seats. i think there are more reasons why this can fail, than there are to succeed. if the club find the right person to lead the meetings and it actually focuses on notts, us fans and does not become about what those groups involved can get or the benefits of being close to the club it could be good for notts. i am just of the mindset that most will want something and not all give up their time just to be useful. some will, most probably not.
  10. yes, these changes are more practical suggestions instead of what usually get put into place. how long did kicking the ball away last before refs stopped issuing yellow cards? i think refs made that more frustrating than it needed to be but in principle players should be carded if they use it to time waste. i am not sure how 8 seconds is all that better to prevent keepers, i mean officials are meant to add time on.
  11. george abbott would be my man of the match, so he gets my vote.
  12. i think its stupid when fans know clubs will be fined, they risk being banned and in the rare circumstances cause other people issues. it's only right to ban them, personally they should be made to pay for the finest issued to clubs.
  13. happy birthday @super_ram! hope you have a nice day. 🎂
  14. i am in the homeward stretch of finishing work, which today has gone by very quickly. i did not have a break, due to how busy work was and i am not that bothered because it meant that others would finish on time. i think team work is important, and a 15 minute break being used to help is not a big deal even tho i think i am one of few who would. at dinner time, i walked into the city centre and eat at the kfc near the market square. its very annoying with all the bike delivery people buzzing around and paying little attention to themselves or anyone else. very ignorant!! i have some time off coming up, as i have take my holidays that are remaining. so, i will be wondering how i can still be productive during that point but i should be on here a lot more. please let mark know, i am sorry to read about his partners nan @Chris.
  15. i always felt very much appreciated by granny pie, i came here on the back of being hounded on twitter by some fans who would mock and be unpleasant. the opposite to pon and all it took was for me to learn about the site, join and take part for me to find a level of acceptance i have never known. the chats i had with granny was always good, i should remind myself to drop a message to you more. i know, i feel lucky to have known her but i was never going to call her by first name. she was always granny pie to me and the only time i felt it was acceptable to say anything different was in goodbye. she had my highest respect and i liked to tease her a bit with it. just a bit, every time granny pie thought i might say her first name i would insist otherwise.
  16. the annoying thing is how brightly notts started and how quickly we rendered the advantage of having the ball in our favour. the result is not the end of the world, just as much as the performance but i was disappointed. conor grant did well, as did kellan gordon but there was not enough quality from others. i thought curtis edwards was poor, he has not seemed the same since he returned and i could not help but think he should have been on the bench. its not just edwards, george abbott had a quiet game by his standards and i keep seeing him getting involved with opposition players which is just ugly to see. one of these days he will see a red card for it, so he needs to get on with the game and kick bickering or lashing out at players. defensively was the weakest area, notts missed jacob bedeau and i thought zak johnson and rod mcdonald were very poor. hardly marking their man but did improve nearer the end of the game. just disappointing really, as we started so well. i know our goal came out of the blue but for about 5 to 10 minutes, it looked like we wanted to get a second and we never had that mentality after. just wasted chances and a lack of creativity.
  17. smart finishes but tranmere should have done better, their keeper could have done much more so i am thankful we managed to seal the 2 goals to win. i felt for alex bass not to retain a clean sheet but i thought the performance was better than colchester. some of the link up play was really encouraging, we had efforts in spells before taken the lead and you just want to see the team take the chances which come. i think notts did that well today, it might not be a great performance but as a team it was decent enough.
  18. i left very much impressed by alex bass, but i did feel charlie whitaker showed hes going to be a big part of the future. this season could be a major part of his development and i thought his performance was very good.
  19. wishing the womens team all the best, i will be keeping an eye on this topic come the game.
  20. there is a good chance young players will be able to get first team experience and where there is that exposure then talent will be found. scotland has had bursts of it in recent years, so the uk does have talented players which league one and two teams are looking to invest in.
  21. Coventry City 3-1 Preston North End Portsmouth 1-1 QPR joker Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Leyton Orient Northampton Town 0-1 Bristol Rovers Grimsby Town 2-0 Fleetwood Town Port Vale 1-0 Salford City Rochdale 1-2 Barnet Tamworth 1-1 Southend United
  22. i used to worry about the finances but i dont think the reedtz try to hide things and are investing in the club, if improvements were not being made and we looked like we was barely getting by that would be a concern but i dont see that. i think we are in safe hands and things will improve with time.
  23. @Robbie its been very windy here, probably the most i have known for awhile. my next door neighbour calls it mary poppins season when its like this. on and off down pours of rain, almost like its april. thanks, i will be better soon.
  24. its sad, i never watched it because i thought the quality lacked but some of the shows which highlighted nottingham were promising. i think if it was around for another 5-10 years it would be a lot better, which is a shame because i think it does offer a lot for people 40+. i am not of the generation that sat around the tv all day, i do watch a fair bit but never enough to really commit. i can understand why a lot of people would feel disappointed in this decision and as said before me, it would have helped journalists, videographers and a lot of students.
  25. i believe certain cinemas have a scheme where they allow residents of care homes with disabilities access to screenings. yet i think this is brilliant, people should not miss out on the experience just because they are disabled and things like this helps to be inclusive. it must be horrible for some not to be in a position to see the latest films and living the same day. this must make a huge difference to the lives it supports.
