  1. the new site is very slow, i hope it improves because its barely usable on mobile and even with an app, i do tend to rely on the mobile site, or at least did when notts used to have one as part of the efl site. back when you could login to any clubs website with the same details. jodi jones has started to cut his socks.
  2. its a bit of a farse by appointing him as the interim manager, its like hiring someone for a job but not having the faith in their ability so the job advert remains out there just in case. if someone is good enough to take temporary charge, more faith should be shown. unless lee carlsley is not sure about the role, but i dont think that would be the case. i think its more the fa pandering to potential mardy england fans. personally i would give give him it for two tournaments and see how he does.
  3. i am pleased for jim o brien, it must be hard after retiring and at least being a coach will see him help the next generations of potential football stars. the role was clearly something he would be good at, so i wish him well and hope one day our paths do cross again.
  4. i would pass, because football swallows football and it would probably ruin my love for the sport. if i had the money, i would invest in notts, but i would never want to own our club or be a part of the board. i much prefer just being a regular fan. interesting though, i wonder how it will work and what happens when they need more money.
  5. i know the feeling, my mum keeps saying every week i remind her more and more of my dad. i dont take it all that positively but i do find things a lot more annohying, but i do understand just as much within reason. it really is one of those things, its like people who dont teach their kids proper manners. that annoys the life out of me!
  6. love the detailed input @ARLukomski. how do you feel about aaron nemane going to mk dons? they look like the team thats really going for the league title. also, whats your thoughts on conor grant? seemed bransley wanted him in league one last season, i hope hes good defensively. this is a great insight, i dont think anyone could ask for a more detailed look, along with prediction on how the final table may look.
  7. i believe its cedwyn scotts time to shine, he was missed last season just as much as matt palmer. scott sort of became a shadow to macca, so i do think fans will see him at his best and whilst macaulay langstaff is a goal machine. i think scotts relentless pressure and ability to win the ball back quickly will be a big part of our season ahead.
  8. it will be good to be back to watching the action and i am looking forward to making the tranmere game tomorrow. i am hoping the squad go with a level of confidence, not to underestimate them but to play with confidence. i will be trying to generate supportive chants to the players.
  9. only concern i have is if stuart maynard does not get off to a good start, i really want to see it work out for him and i do think hes a good coach but i just hope notts are not too big for him. the pressure of managing us could be a worrying point.
  10. from what i have seen i would choose kasper, sheehan (dl), edwards (cb) thompson (cb), dumbuya (dr), j hughes (ml), bishop (dm) m palmer (cm) roberts (mr) l hughes (st) langstaff (st)
  11. the club needing to contribute to the fees, makes sense. i am glad those people got fined and i do agree they should be ruled out of being allowed any involvement in football.

    Riots

it annoys me greatly by destroying things in an excuse to riot, it just grinds me. i watched some security guards stood out side a jd sports store attacked on facebook. its wrong.
  13. well there is a huge leap from 11 to the next number but i dont think it will mean much. we might be keeping the numbers free for future signings such as in january?
  14. 5h in the table with 13 gold medals, 51 in total. its scary how good some of the people from china are in certain sports.
  15. so funny! i would watch this too. i wonder how many takes it took to capture the footage, as the buses have little room to turn or even over take. which leaves very small space for errors.
  16. i dont have much time or interest in the premier league, i sometimes caught games last season but i think it lacks the fan element that we have. manchester city being unable to sell out their ground, despite having the appeal and ability to lower their tickets just sums it up. when teams start buying the league, it does take away their identity and i am disappointed they are managing to avoid proper punishment so far for all their charges.
  17. what about tom cruise or brad pitt? two of the biggest stars, unconnected to @Dry Nelson Ray.
  18. i watched a few minutes but I thought it would play it on the way to tranmere, as i want to see what @TheSkipper thinks.
  19. i watched a few games from the scottish premier league and it reminded me of our top three highest divisons. very hit and miss with quality but i dont get why other teams cant put more of a challenge. it cant just be down to money.
  20. i am pleased we have strengthen our defence and looking at the league two table, i dont think anyone will be clear runners for promotion or will run away with it. i think it will be quite open and exciting, so ideally we can perform well enough and get those wins needed to be at the top end.
  21. notts will need time defensively, i am sure most of our training sessions has had the defence in focus so that they can gain an understanding and work well. it is the biggest area from last season that needs improvement. attacking wise, we just have to make space and to be creative. we have the quality to do well and hopefully notts can start brightly but it might take time to build a good run of form.
  22. its a good question, but i dont think fans would have been less likely to renew. if they wanted to, it would make sense to have done it whilst the early bird prices was available. paying more because a player left just seems odd, as does if they refused to go to games because he left therefore not buying a season ticket as some sort of protest towards the club. i get the knee jerk reaction and the upset, but it would not have made much difference.
  23. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2024/august/06/introducing--piesplayer/ sounds like it will be normal service for most fans overseas.
  24. it seems every year a big name falls, the lack of alternative places to buy electrical good in the high street is very poor. i know its all the same, but that is why it was good some offered deals. its changing and everything is so much easier a click away. there is enough variety online, so why cant stores get more creative? the lack of foresight is the main reason why i think most fail.
  25. i like them both, i got the home shirt and i think i will get the third kit when its on sale. i think its better than the away design, but the orange is nice enough, just a bit basic.
