What Ever Happened To Third Lanark A.C?
i have never heard anything about them, its very interesting. a lot of scotland is natural and the cities seem very grouped. without looking into where teams play, it would be easy to think that rangers and celtic are the only two professional teams in that area.

@Piethagoram the buses used with the other club seems like a genius idea compared to this.

Can Notts Reverse The Poor Results Against Top 7 Sides?
ideally notts will start to pick up results against the top 7, but i think its more an issue with inform teams. league two is proving to be very tight, afc wimbledon might show its more "form" that is the problem rather than the position. then again, it could reveal its the top 7 that we do have problems with. i think they are games where we at least want to be drawing, as this would help when the points turn into a much crucial resource.

World Mental Health Day
with the news of cedwyn scott, it has a sobering thought as to what might happen if players are not given the support they need. i remember fans turning on matt tootle for his time off, with some mocking his gambling addition and believing it was not a fair reason behind having time off. i hope nobody takes this attitude to scott because i think its sickening.

Things lurking in the loft
all my notts stuff used to be in my room, now i have various things around my home and nothing is in storage. except the shirts i own being in my wardrobe. i will have plenty of time to start saving things for the future mind.

Cedwyn Scott takes leave of absence
could his injury niggle be a bit more serious and in turn causing cedwyn scott to have a harder time? he always seems a pretty happy guy, but it goes to show. it leaves us a bit short but his wellbeing in important. i am glad notts has given him some time off. has it been stated for how long he will be on leave?

Chesterfield v Notts - Gordon v Gordon
does that bring the question back up as to why they are hugging? both played for bristol rovers.

Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Wombles (H)
i really hope the game will see us return to winning ways at meadow lane, afc wimbledon are a good team but when i look at their squad. i do feel its a team we should be doing well against. i know, we cant underestimate them and i would hope our players are well drilled to their threats but i do believe if we focus on our own performance, we should be able to get something positive from it.

Sam Allardyce slams modern-day βbrainwashedβ football
i think sam allardyce tends to be controversial for the sake of keeping his name relevant. i agree with some points, but people have been critical of him as a manager and his playing style. i think he achieved much more when he managed bolton, but the club is still living with the cost of supporting that period. his football was not the most exciting either, so i find it a bit bitter from his perspective. football can be exciting playing the ball out from the back, you just have to play it correctly and not rely on passing back at the sake of going forward. i think it comes down to patience and balance, but as for big sams views i dont really care for them.

Fergie To Return To Manchester United?
is he 82 or 83? a lot of articles are saying hes 83, which is an insane age. i have read how he has been let go from his ambassador role. i dont see that as being an issue, but at his age anything could cause issues with being the manager. i dont mean just the possibility of his death happening whilst in charge. that could happen to any manager right now, but will he want to handle training in the cold? risk his own health at such a crucial stage of his life. i dont believe he will go back to managing united, supposedly hes disappointed to have lost his ambassador role.

Thomas Tuchel New England Manager.
i am all for giving thomas tuchel a fair chance and i think from the front runners, he is probably the best name amongst them. lee carsley was never going to be given the job on a full time basis, i dont know why the fa would overlook him but they seem again intent in bringing in a manager that is not english. much like they did when they appointed sven. its them i have an issue with, not tuchel as i believe he is a good manager with young players.

The talent drain from Scotland, Brexit being a significant factor
i think even without brexit, scottish teams may struggle to retain their better young talent. a lot of them were poached prior to it, but it might be more likely that premier league teams do look north. we are guilty of overlooking out own home grown talent, suffocating their potential for the belief that you can only find world class players overseas. it all comes down to ability and potential, i believe most really good players have the ability of being class. i think if callum mcgregor had left celtic, he would have reached higher achievements despite him doing well with the club he loves. personally, i think its better that young foreign players are harder to sign now. it should be a good thing for england, scotland, wales and northern ireland. as younger players should be getting more of a chance, those outside the uk should reach their potential and most likely would be able to be signed once they are of a better age so i dont see that as an issue. being able to fill english academies with so many players from other nations, i think is worse. chelsea having been recently spoken about for failing to make world class talent count with jose mourinho. you might say it makes the playing field more fairer for uk based players.

A Cause For Concern.
i think its more the club wanting to make sure he makes the first team and therefore is insisting to play him in midfield, he can do well but he needs time after his injury. i dont fault his workrate, hes always working hard. i just dont see him as a midfielder as much, i think he should be played more as a striker. there is the chance he could do a similar role to david mcgoldrick but i dont think persisting with him being a midfielder is all that beneficial to him. the first part of last season in league two, he was brilliant. he must feel a bit lost without macaulay langstaff, they have been a duo for awhile and being played out of position, it must add to missing his former teammate.

Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Spireites (A)
i think both teams was not quite the best defensively at times, our goal is poor to concede from the chesterfield point of view but from ours a well worked goal. the opener was a fluky deflection, i dont even think paddy madden knew much about it. of course, he will probably say he flicked it on but it landed very fortunate for him to finish. its a shame alex bass had committed himself but i dont blame him. either team could have won, but i do think a draw was fair and chesterfield will feel they threw it away which they did. their fans on facebook are calling us a dirty team, i have seen @Dans pictures and the other photographer, i was at the game and rewatched the highlights. i dont think we were the dirty team, unlike them at times. the amount of times they were grabbing shirts to the point they could have put it on themselves.

Crewe Alexandra v Notts County Women
good result, it looked like it was played on a training pitch or school's 4g pitch. which can be different and harder. glad we won.

watch it be somewhere like york city, which would not be the worst draw but i would hope to avoid chesterfield.

Please Say It Ain't So
not aimed at any one here, but i wished people would shut up about lee carsley. he has tried to experiment whilst in the role, i dont think you can instantly judge a new manager, especially an international one. i hope we go for someone english, because most likely they will understand how to get our nation playing good football. i wonder if now people dont like carsley, they regret being on gareth southgates back. ????

Should Jatta & McGoldrick be Starting a Match Together?
the issue is how thin it would leave us up top if one or both were to become injured, its a difficult thing with only three strikers on the books. i would not be against seeing cedwyn scott and jevani brown played as a striker more, scott could be a good goalscorer for us if we did play him there and that would open up the possibility of jatta and david mcgoldrick featuring more from the start together. i think it highlights how we actually still do need a replacement for macaulay langstaff, yes we have people who can score but we need a different option up top. if we had to depth and quality, i would love to see the pair start more games.

Defenders playing as Forwards
defenders usually make terrible strikers and visa versa. does anyone remember that callum ball we had on loan? i swear it was mentioned by leigh curtis when we signed him that he had come through the derby academy as a defender.

its weird, i have edited a lot of comments that looked oddly formatted in the post screen when saved, but when i clicked to edit, they all looked fine. i have copied them and pasted back in, then saved. its fine then, i did not edit anything and to be honest it would take forever to notify everyone but i will fix what I see. it might be better to stick an announcement about it.
