  1. i thought notts played very well, i think for 90 minutes the performance was very good. considering accrington wanted to slow down the game and tried to play negative football as a means to combat just how well notts played in all areas of the pitch. midfield was just as superb as the defence, i honestly felt calm and like we would not concede today. the players showed their determination and fought hard for a win. the second was just notts on cruise control and wave after wave of chances. i cant fault that performance, they made me leave feeling a buzz and proud. pon match report
  2. he is very calm and commanding, it must give the defence confidence when they know the keeper will come to catch the ball or push it away. along with his general presence, i think how he sees keeping clean sheets is important because he spoke about that when he signed and with time i think we could start picking more up.

  4. i think its less of an headache with regards to mcgoldrick and jatta, one or the other will start and then most likely whoever is the sub will come on around the 70th minute. despite didzys goals against swindon, i am mindful about him being overplayed. he scored two very good goals, but i think the fact that he might push to further make his presence known and that would benefit home from coming on in the second half.
  5. sven and his time as director of football at notts was a rollercoaster of the season but having him around, with all the managerial changes i do think helped keep the squad together and focused on the pitch.
  6. accrington stanley has always been a team that impresses me, as they have given us tough games in the past and play well as a team. i think they will see a different side to notts this season and i think it should be a good game. i do think keeping a clean sheet would be nice, alex bass has looked good and only beaten so far by very good efforts.
  7. he was always a joy to watch running with the ball and taking people on, such a callum mcgregor type goal. very pleased to see him doing well.
  8. he was mentioned in the opposition view, he did well and looked like one of swindon towns best players. they have been having issues where they have not given players all that long in contracts, most previously would need renewing. thier owner has been making a lot of poor choices. a fun thing i learned by speaking with some of their fans, they own 50% of the stadium and that means it prevents the owner or club from doing silly things with it.
  9. i have one of those devices which records my speed and the dashboard, so that i can prove my speed. i have been pulled over twice, once for allegedly driving to slow and once for speeding. both times my dashboard cameras and speed monitors proved otherwise. the police love to try to catch incident people, but you never see those driving like maniacs getting pulled over.
  10. it would have been nice to have a few more days where it felt like summer, not boiling hot but warm enough. with nice wind, but the thing about the uk is the weather is never going to be kind to us. ????
  11. i remember reading about a non league team that used caravans as a way to allow teams to get change. i have tried looking it up but i cant find anything, it was a very low down team. not the same thing but this is interesting, it shows unsual football grounds. 12. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @Kate Kilgore. its great to have you with us.
  13. training day, so late break for me. i should be finishing about 5ish. its been a bit of gloomy day, with it raining in spells and work has not been all that busy. i am thinking about treating myself to some fish and chips later, i do usually cook at home but sometimes i like to treat myself. there is not a lot happening in my life at the moment.
  14. usually its the agent(s) who make things difficult because they obviously make more money by the players joining a new club. sometimes they can get good money from renewals but the more a player earns, the more an agent can request for their services. its the players decision, but some agents can be very negative. i dont know who represents jodi jones or dan crowley, i trust them to make a sensible decision once they feel comfortable knowing where notts are heading. i agree with @Piethagoram, the club is probably keeping an open dialogue with them regarding contract extensions. as for the statement, i appreciate it but i am not worried. i like the transparency that comes with the club informing us, even if it is written as a pr statement in case people complain.
  15. i know adam hassell described it as a smash and grab, but i thought we had the chances to win. it was not like we didnt. mcgoldrick showed his class but the difference between the two teams were the defending. notts did well in this area and really showed a robust approach to handling swindon town.
  16. i think it shows we cant always play him and expect his magic, hes started this season well and is taking the chances given. it was good to see him start and score twice, i think this is what he brings when we rotate.
  17. @thommo reading what @Piethagoram shared it does sound like he was racially abused and you are right, pulling someone's hair is assault. if it was the other way round, and she slapped and spat on his face i dont think most would be bothered. its not justified actions, poor judgement but people can make mistakes in the heat of the moment. the other person deserves to be held accountable too. professional footballers are held higher than some, it doesnt seem right. both peoples behaviour is horrible, but i believe he was profiled and attacked.
  18. i felt pleased with the win, both teams played well and a draw might have been a fairer score but it showed how notts can turn these types of games into wins. its good to see how defensive we stood strong, as it gave us the platform to go forward. we might have lost this lost season, i hope we can build on it.
  19. shame the goal was disallowed, hope they can get the win tho. coyp!
  20. 2 years after my first game, i have never collected programmes but i dud buy some at times, mostly special ones. tony hateley is always a good read. i miss uncle colin too.
  21. im struggling to think of any more, there should be a few more. i will think about it. ????
  22. swindon gave a good account of themselves, the opening goal was very well taken and i dont think there was anything alex bass could do. it stung to see us trial earlyish into the game but notts showed some good character and turned the game on its head. i was not sure about david mcgoldrick starting but again, he showed his worth and both of his goals were such a joy to see go in.
  23. i think he should do well with the players around him, our style naturally benefits anyone with a strong sense of attacking. we might not see him score many goals but if he can assist other players in doing so, then it will help us as we continue to push for a top end finish.
  24. notts has a good chance to start the gathering the points needed to be at the right end of the table, swindon will soon climb it themselves. i hope that notts leaves with the win, so far being undefeated is a good thing to build on. it would be nice to make it 2 wins in 2.
  25. hes done remarkable well since joining us, i think he has also shown signs of improvement. before he signed permanently i was not that bothered about him, good loan player but did not quite make his presence known. yet since playing more, i am pleased by how hes grown and this season its hard to see him not being named in the squad.
