Please Say It Ain't So
not aimed at any one here, but i wished people would shut up about lee carsley. he has tried to experiment whilst in the role, i dont think you can instantly judge a new manager, especially an international one. i hope we go for someone english, because most likely they will understand how to get our nation playing good football. i wonder if now people dont like carsley, they regret being on gareth southgates back. ????

Should Jatta & McGoldrick be Starting a Match Together?
the issue is how thin it would leave us up top if one or both were to become injured, its a difficult thing with only three strikers on the books. i would not be against seeing cedwyn scott and jevani brown played as a striker more, scott could be a good goalscorer for us if we did play him there and that would open up the possibility of jatta and david mcgoldrick featuring more from the start together. i think it highlights how we actually still do need a replacement for macaulay langstaff, yes we have people who can score but we need a different option up top. if we had to depth and quality, i would love to see the pair start more games.

Defenders playing as Forwards
defenders usually make terrible strikers and visa versa. does anyone remember that callum ball we had on loan? i swear it was mentioned by leigh curtis when we signed him that he had come through the derby academy as a defender.

Stuart Maynard: "We Keep Going to the End" as Notts County Fight Back for Draw
i thought stuart maynard did quite well, i think we as fans can see how good didzy and jatta work together, the issue is the limited options we have up top. i know we have brown, but he does not seem to be favoured to start or complete a full game. other than that, i think it does make sense, as myanrd says we need to keep mcgoldrick sharp as that is when he plays his best football. its good to have both of them back for this game, no doubt mcgoldrick would be a key figure for it.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
very much deserved, i think its good to see george abbott play so well for us. spurs fans must be delighted to know hes playing such a vital role for us. Pride of Nottingham - Notts County Community WWW.FACEBOOK.COM ????Congrats to defensive midfielder, George Abbott, for being named Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match! His stellar performance against Chesterfield was a masterclass in skill and determination....

David McGoldrick Back in Contention as Stuart Maynard Prepares Notts for Derby with Chesterfield
it goes to show how important jatta and mcgoldrick are to our team. both were big parts in us coming back into todays game against chesterfield.

Match Report: McGoldrick’s Last-Minute Heroics Secure Dramatic Draw for Notts in Derby Thriller
good game, a natural would have enjoyed it. i think we did okay, their first goal was just a fluke with how the ball bounced for paddy madden. thought we looked better out wide, but it was good to see crowley having goes from distant.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
kellan gordon was class, he offered us much and again if we had more bodies in the opposition penalty area. he would have had more chance but I think he was such a vital part. nick tsaroulla also looked lovely.

Matt Palmer: Derby Day Will Be Tough, but Notts County Are Ready for the Challenge
i would hope the players can forget about how important the game is in terms of rivalry and just play to get the win. its great to have matt palmer back and we had missed his absence last season, but i think now hes back its exciting to see him lead the team as the captain. i hope he can inspire the lads to remain calm as he tends to be, as nothing ever seems to effect palmer, hes a good player for us.

Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Spireites (A)
we really need to see how we start and what chesterfield look like, it might end up a goalless draw and that would not surprise me. i would feel a lot more encouraged if we had jodi jones up for selection, but i do think provided the players work hard together that the likes of kellan gordon and nick tsaroulla could be a handful. i just wished we played into space a bit more, its good to use the wider areas but the middle opens up the play and we just seem to do one or the other. i would like to see us attack chestefield with real intent.

Who is your Man of the Match v Northampton
it would be good to see some of them named, but it could be a wait before we see them come on. i think chesterfield might be the wrong game for some of the youngsters but this is off topic. i do think it would be nice to see one or two named. what can i say? my vote my be persuaded differently if i could see the votes first. ????

Who is your Man of the Match v Northampton
i have voted, but i think i have made it worse. its a four horse race now, with 4 votes being split between 4 players.

Weekly Chat Mon 7th - Sun 13th October
work is still strangely slower than normal. its weird to see the slack and people having more time to do other things which normally they would not have the time for. next week i have three days of elearning again. i dont really like being stuck on a computer to learn, i prefer to get hands on with things. after work tonight, i am going to see @CliftonMagpie. did specsavers give any of your payment back? @Fan of Big Tone. i hope its been worthwhile in the long term for you. it sounds awful to wait a year tho. i can just see you in front of a blue screen, being the pon weatherman! ???? among many other roles you assist with.

Stuart Maynard Prepares Notts County for Tough Port Vale Test: Alassana Jatta's Rising Influence
i think jatta will score a good amount of goals, but i would be careful of hyping him because some of these people who say he will get 20 goals or that he is the best goal scorer we have will soon turn on him. i know every fan base has these but we have too many imo.

Faces of PON 24-25: Port Vale (H)
brilliant pictures, @Chris. i did see you walking up the upper kop steps and then take a seat, before taking some pictures. its really good to see the faces of pon, so many wonderful photos.

Stuart Maynard Laments Offside Decision in Port Vale’s Decisive Goal Against Notts County
i think stuart maynard needs to try to avoid being one of those managers that complains when results does not go his way, we lacked the clinicalness up front and even if their goal was offside. he had the time to change it, but throwing robbie cundy up top as a striker shows how we do need a striker but then we allow junior morias to go out and fail to give jevani brown a try up top. i thought we did play well in spells going forward, but their goal reminded me so much of last season. alex bass could not have done anything about it.

Who is your Notts Man of the Match v Port Vale?
its rare i find myself agreeing with who the sponsors choose, but i do think dan crowley deserves it. i do think he stood out the most, even if i wished he had of tried to shoot at times.
