james sanderson... probably nothing in it
notts has recently updated all the teams photos on the squad page on the official site, all but james sanderson?!? https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/teams could it be because hes out on loan or something? surely he cant be injured? other players who have had their images done are supposed to be carrying knocks, so i sway more towards him being out on loan and nothing said. or as i say it could probably be nothing. i found this topic by robbie when i was sleuthing on the internet. it makes for a good advertisement to potentially loan a player out. did he feature much in the pre-season?

Where are they now : Fabian Speiss
i thought he was quite rounded as a prospect. he showed good hands, distribution was not bad, he could save shots close up and from outside the box. quite a flexible keeper, that just needed more coaching and time to fully develop. i do think it was his mental side that let him down, he seems very much lacking confidence by time he left. i dont think it was a lack of coaching from the goalkeeping coach, as i think it was kelvin pilkington back then and i thought he was brilliant. decisions higher up i think took the confidence away, as we did not improve all that much and then moved for a more experienced keeper.

Fake Football Merchandise.
yes, there is a couple of fans who have sold fake shirts in the past and dont like seeing anyone else do it. even though they could have approached the club to work with them, but decided they wanted to make money for themselves. very vocal towards attacking others who have better quality shirts. there is also someone who goes around selling fake shirts as ex player worn, jake from the merch group on pon posts about him. supposedly he found some really old geninue 80s shirts which were allegedly found in a barn.

6000 Season Tickets Sold
i am very impressed to see that the club has sold 6000 season tickets, the advertising on facebook must have helped and with all the other promotion. i hope we can maintain a good level of gates this season, all the money will help push the club forward. its what we dream to see, nobody likes seeing meadow lane struggling to attract 4k.

Estádio São Januário, Rio de Janeiro
very rough, but its mostly because of the way those countries are ran. people need money, grans thrive on violence and its the people who try to live a good life that suffer.

Dan Crowley to MK Dons?
notts accepting a second bid from mk dons would turn our fan base in to toxic overdrive and for the right reasons. it would be like abandoning any ambitious we have of gaining promotion ourselves. dan crowley is a big part of what gets us working. it would rightly annoy fans because of the quality we have already lost. i am not one for being negative but i fully understand that this would not be a wise decision. if it was a league one team and not a team in league two, i might be less bothered.

Mark Stallard: Notts County Fans the Backbone of a Promising League Campaign
i think mark stallard is always the voice of reason, his comments are fair and i hope we can reset as a fan base ahead of the weekends game again fleetwood. our strongest squad should be much calmer and focused.

Tonight's team v Shrewsbury
i think we should have played stone and kept bass on the bench. i think @DangerousSausage mentioned in the match discussion that he thought it would be best to keep bass involved as a way to settle him into his new starting role.

Managing Expectations with Notts
i have said it before i balance my hopes and expectations based on how the season goes. you can have a good squad on paper that does not quite meet its potential but that is just football to me. i want to see notts playing well, performing well in the league but when it does not work out to plan i wont give up my support. there has been some dark times that notts has had to face and i think that if some fans or supporters cant accept how a season pans out without getting all mardy or negative. then i do wonder why people would choose to support notts. there is nothing wrong with saying why you feel notts should have done better but personally i accept it, and go again. if you start believing your expectations are the only way a club should do, you are leading yourself into misery. balance things as they happen and reflect with the thoughts of improvement.

Notts County Mobile App
i gave up with the app, its just the same as the os but easier to load when the app itself does not slow down. i think in its current state its awful. the potential is there but its disappointing.

Macaulay Langstaff Watch.
someone i know who supports watford said macaulay langstaff kept bumping into his own players and looked like a headless chicken. he said that he looked to be struggling with the pace and intensity of the game. i hope he starts to find his feet with them.

Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
i think most fans appreciate and respect what the reedtz have done and continue to do for us. there is a pocket of silly fans who think they are not investing in the squad etc, which is just silly. i think those types of fans are the ones who get into the ears of owners or the club, making them think actions need to be taken when its better to procced as you are. i dont think notts does this, but it does risk that clubs might overspend or make mistakes which these people seem to love to jump on.
-
Fake Football Merchandise.
i think its petty because if clubs made sure they had a good range of reputable retro kits, i dont think fans would seek them out in the demand that makes it viable for them to be manufactured in the first place. if there isnt the demand, then i dont see how they would sell. at the same time i think that if there is demand, some fans cant afford the prices and may look for cheaper alternatives. i think clubs should not take any action against the fans who wear them or evict them from the stadium. that is harsh and i disagree with it. they should put more effort into making sure they shut the fake suppliers down, whilst making sure they themselves can cater for this demand.

Match Discussion: League Cup - The Shrews (A)
i would have played aiden stone over sam slocombe but i am not the manager, i think some of our fan base loves to single out a player and batter them with harsh comments. yes, hes not the best now but he has served us well during his time. i think some of the comments on social media, they are uncalled for and harsh. the same things would be said about stone or whoever played had mistakes been made. its a bit fickle.

Match Discussion: Game 2 - The Fishermen (H)
i am encouraged that tom who did the opposition view mentioned them needing a striker. it looks like they can score, but if we have our best keeper and defenders starting, i think it would be more difficult for fleetwood. on paper, i think we have the better players but they might perform better as a team. we cant write them off.

Where are they now : Matty Wolfe
i remember the name but not so much about him playing for notts. one of those come and go loans. @Piethagoram did you know patterson got named in the team if the week for sunderland? hes doing well for them in the championship.

Childhood Memories At The Seaside
i have family on the isle of wight and man, those are lovely mostly unspoilt places which i have enjoyed visiting. isle of man i used to go once a year before I turned 18, to visit family. one of my aunts has a house near the sea, so the beach is almost on its door step. skegness is a lot nicer than people say, you just need to know where to go but the standard of food is nice. my family has a caravan on richmond which has been taken over now. i have a weekend there every now and then but have not been so far this year.

Match Discussion: League Cup - The Shrews (A)
it will be interesting to see how we do to fleetwood, i think league games will be different because we are unlikely to make changes for the sake of it. the players who did come on against shrewsbury could have easily started. defensively at our strongest and with alex bass in goal i think we will be fine.

Notts County Head Coach Stuart Maynard Reflects on Heartbreaking League Cup Defeat
i respect that stuart maynard acknowledges the mistakes and takes responsibility for the players. it could have turned out much differently, but shrewsbury did come knocking on the door and unfortunately they got back into it. notts managed to take the game to penalties, jatta did his best to level things and to score his pen. i just wished we had managed to do better in the shoot out.
