predicted number of matches you may attend in the 2024-25 season
how many games do you think you will make this upcoming season? i know it might be hard with postponements to guess, but roughly it would be good to know what other members of pon might be able to make. all the home league games i should be able to make. i am hoping to complete my second season of all the away games too, but some might be difficult with work. if i cant make them all i at least hope to be around 40 games.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Minstermen (A)
there is not something to fight for, when points are on the line players try harder. its like meaningless cup games, we dont go out to lose but there is little drive. i am not worried about conceding two goals, you do tend to give players more time on the ball and yorks first goal was a very well placed effort. it was a good game, notts played some great stuff at times and we did not seem out of ideas when it came to creating chances.

Chesterfield FC
we will let derby off the hook this time, i know the result is a lure to make them believe they can do better in the league. when they struggle, we will thank you for inflating their confidence.

Weekend Chat - Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July
football on saturday, it should be a good day out and i am looking forward to taking a look around before the kick off. i don't know what else i will get up to other than watching notts.

Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
the brothers took us on in our darkest time being relegated into the national league and not only did they spend money investing in the squad but they have rebuilt notts into a promising and often exciting team to watch. i am very thankful towards them for returning us to the english football league and for giving us a lot to cheer about.

Sad News Regarding The Royal Mint
could we still produce the steel needed? the country is on about making new jobs and having industries that lead, then this would be a good start and a way to safe the royal mint. how likely is it that fake coins could circulate again with the metal coming in from other places?

Financial Troubles At Bordeaux FC
its crazy what is happening with football clubs, but it shows how important it is to try to avoid over spending. i think this type of thing is better than seeing the club fold completely.
-
Stat of the day
it would be nice if alex bass can help us keep a high amount of clean sheets, along with the new defence but it would be nice to top this again. i think we need another striker though.

Macca Why So Cheap?
we dont really know how many teams were really interested in macualay langstaff, but we would have thought more formal bids would have come forward. the millwall manager seemed annoyed that the bid became public knowledge, when he refused to answer questions about the deal but acknowledged the interest. i would have thought this would be enough to trigger other clubs. i dont think macca was sold because we wanted tor recoup some of the money spent, our owners seem to be here for the overall goals to get us back up the leagues. there must be more to the deal, than what we know so far.

Welcome Midfielder, Jack Hinchy
its an interesting signing, he looks like a potential signing more for the future but it does give us more depth. the competition in midfield can only be a good thing.

The old Spion Kop scoreboard
i love reading the memories, the old scoreboard has been mentioned a fair bit during my time on pon and i have seen many of those pictures before. its nice to know that there was a joking element to it too.

Junior Morias to Dagenham & Redbridge on loan.
i hope we have a good incoming replacement because with the loss of macaulay langstaff and now junior morias being shifted out on loan we are quite bear up top. i am very disappointed, the p word would be more suited but that is just because i feel if the club is targeting a striker, i just feel we should let players out when we know we have them. football is funny, because we as fans see where the club needs to strengthen and for once the defence has been the main target. yet at the same time we have weakened ourselves up top which makes me unhappy. i am reserved enough to understand that we might be making a move for a striker but it does change how i currently feel. sometimes you lose out on a target and things can change.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
i would love to see this back, i think it is a productive game that members can have fun at guessing who is the player you have mentioned.
-
Welcome to Defender, Robbie Cundy.
its a signing that makes me think he will be more of a cover type player or used in rotation as and when he is fit. its worth mentioning that some players reach their potential later on in their career and then the form comes with it. it is sad that he has injury problems, which seems to have hinder his career quite a lot. i hope he can make an impact and that we can look after him, as if he gives strong performances then it is a gamble that outweighs his injury history. welcome to notts robbie cundy.

Callum and Jack
there was a picture of them spending time whilst on international duty a few years ago, someone tweeted jack and he retweeted it saying they were catching up and had been talking about those days.

It's All Uefa's Fault.
the premier league has done a lot more to ensure good english players are coming through, there could always be more but i think it was far worse in the early 00s. one injury to the midfield i remember being made into a major issue, whereas now we have a lot of good midfielders. the fa needs to try to continue putting money into the grass roots.

Buenos Aires, a history thread
i know argentina used to be quite wealthy but i did not really know why or what changed it. there was a film a few years ago that was released where the main character moved to buenos aires in the 1880s as a way to escape being wanted in the uk. it was supposed to be based on a true story.

Just Supposing.
no from me. i dont mind that he left, i dont hold it against him because hes nearer to his family and getting us back to the football league is a job well done. but when you have a manager that leaves during a poor spell, is given an opportunity where he was not successful with elsewhere, staying for the season and trying to fix the defence would have made me reconsider my stance now. he left, we really needed strong leadership and whilst i really dont blame him for leaving. i think there could always be a possibility that it could be repeated. i also think we are more inclined to move forward.

Carter Foxe signs for Notts
good to see another youngster step up to a pro deal, but it goes to show that we need to start making these deals count for something. so many get a deal, only to be released without much chance.

Nottingham on Foot
clifton has some nice areas, the town centre of beeston is a nice area to walk around on the weekend. plenty to do also. my favourite place is wollaton park though, but wollaton as an area does have some nice walking routes even if you stick to the streets.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Minstermen (A)
i really hope we give the starting squad slightly longer than 45 minutes, maybe 60. then break the rest of the minutes up. give ourself something that our main 11 can get stuck into and build further. 45 minutes might be fairer, but as others have said we are approaching the season. trialists can impress still.

Ewan Coleman Signs For Notts!
@Pies79 just for now, if we are hit with injuries who knows if he will put a kit on for himself. ???? welcome to notts! ewan coleman.

Macaulay Langstaff’s Transfer Fee: How Can Notts County Maximise Its Impact?
after reading the roku site being listed for sale, i do think it would make a good place for us to own and have as a training facility which could be ran open to the public too, as a means to bring in extra revenue. i think that is more likely if the reedtz bought it themselves, i would have thought it would be out of our reach as a club and using macaulaylangstaffs fee would take the majority if not all of it. i honestly think the transfer fee could be better spent on signing a few more good players and keeping most of it for the next season. offering new deals to certain players would make sense.
-
Roko site at Wilford up for sale
i could see our owners buying it themselves, allowing notts to use the facilities but i cant see it being owned by the club. its too much for a league two team. it would not be a bad idea to buy it, keep the facilities open to the public and have time slots where notts would train but i do only see it doable if the reedtz buy it themselves.
