  1. so what if its a nato country? what are they going to do ban it or force another war by doing something stupid? it does say a lot about putin that he or someone he knows can just cruise around in a yacht whilst russia continues to attack ukraine.
  2. my nominations for member of the month. @Piethagoram @Fan of Big Tone @menzinho @Ohh Tommy Johnson and @Sir Magpie. team member of the month. @DangerousSausage @Chris @super_ram.
  3. its a very sad story and i wish him all the best with forging his career further. i hope he uses his pain for better, instead of allowing it to control his own narrative. it must be awful though.
  4. we do need to start picking up good wins on the road again, its funny how one season you are better away than at home and then you are outstanding at home (which we should be) but are indifferent away. i think notts may have struggled previously due to the oxford and injuries, but also a lack of composure. i am hoping to watch notts start brightly, now its getting colder we need a bit of motivation for our support at games. wimbledon wont be pushovers, i dont expect them to be or to make it easy. three points would be my target going into the match though.
  5. @DangerousSausage do you remember him in that video with jake bugg? i would be curious to hear him sing properly. its a brilliant read.
  6. i can see the term for someone who shots themselves in the leg being "what a nangle" or "what a way to nagle yourself". i remember him speaking about how he used to be involved with gangs in the meadows and sneinton area of nottingham. thing is, i always thought he was promising but his career might have fallen short to his off the field antics and his capacity to think.
  7. what is drop the dead donkey? is it a sketch show or a comedy??
  8. the clubs decision to hold the fans forum now is a brilliant timing, it can help us to get refocused on the more important things rather than headlines that the media put about the crewe defeat. i like the sounds of the improvements, its something that does make a difference. it adds to the very exciting feel that is still very much around the club, that positive feeling we have come used to under the reedtz leadership.
  9. the cultural asset makes it sound like we or football in general is struggling to attract fans, we are in a blossom period right now where more interest in being shown.
  10. 1 goal and 7 yellow cards? if he were to sign for us, he could become the new liam noble. i would be curious to know more useful stats like his assists and average minutes on the pitch. he does not sound like an amazing find. rather a player that could develop further with experience.
  11. i think derek adams boring and predictable but there is not much difference from the lower english league and ross county. i cant see him being there for long, its a tough place to get the results needed to have a long term spell unless you are well in with the club.
  12. sutton, newport, forest green, tranmere and grimsby could all be in the frame for relegation this season. i dont even think colchester or doncaster are out of the threat but i think forest green and tranmere should have enough about them to float out of the drop zone. sutton will have found this season hard due to all the players they lost in the summer. staying up does seem a task for them. i would prefer grimsby and newport to go down.
  13. @menzinho very spot on, will randall was very disappointing to me. he did not track back much, rather waited out wide for the ball to come to him. he never ran at the players, just played a very safe and average game. i hope he comes into it more because when his contract is up, so far i would not be fussed if he left.
  14. until watching the highlights just now, i did not realise just how much space bradford left open. it takes nothing away from the goals, because notts still had to exploit it but the first goal could have easily just came from the middle instead of from out wide. i thought aaron nemane was superb in the first half. i was not impressed with will randall.
  15. the first half was very impressive to see us go four goals up, but i think going into the second half bradford were always going to try to lift their game. i thought dan crowley was outstanding, he played with such forward thinking that he play a big role in what we did achieve in the first half. his play at times was very entertaining to see, he works very hard for us.
  16. first half notts were class, but i personally dont think that there is much negative about the second half. yes we had chances which we did not put away and bradford came back into the game but their goals were scored at times when we were still pushing for a fifth goal. bradford was very poor but looked a promising side if they could get their heads together in time.
  17. i like curtis thompson i wish him all the best at cheltenham, hes the type of player who has suffered a lot with injuries but you still want to see him do well just because hes an ex notts lad.
  18. i wonder if gibraltar tried to park the bus and end up regretting it. 14-0 even for them is very embarrassing.
  19. he posts about the print a lot in the pon facebook group, its nice but its not my preference. its bright and the clouds takes away from the beauty of meadow lane.
  20. how many clicks just to get to a page where you can listen to the podcast? wow, considering i would not say i am put off by excessive clicks in general i did stop after the 7th page opening. i think most would not get to the 3rd or 4th. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-rest-is-football/id1701022490 interesting podcast but it sounds like some of it was recorded in a bathroom. on the subject of everton, they were lucky last season and this time round it could be the one which sees them relegated to the championship. i hate to say it but i think luton will end up doing them a favour by going down instead.
  21. i think waiting would be better, but there is no arm in trying come the end of his loan deal. the two factors which might not make it viable is the cost of his fee and wages. on the point of mistakes he will improve and that should not be a big concern. its if he will fit our system and get chance to play against bigger teams. if there is little chance of him starting, it might be a waste.
  22. i wont be using it but it has been needed for ages, its good that it helps reduce the crowding around that end of the kop too. it should have a big impact on serving fans and increasing profits.
  23. i think they made a mistake by not starting jodi jones because they had some chances which a player of his quality could have put away in the first half, malta were never going to win but it was great to see jodi play against england again. it was nice to hear the name drops of notts county too, sometimes i still find it hard considering all the awful years i have supported notts that we have a player of his quality. this current squad we are blessed to have but i am thankful even more that jodi jones signed the deal keeping him here at the start of the season.
  24. i like that luke williams is acknowledging bradford city might be completely different to how they have been in previous games. hes right we do have to focus on ourselves and if we are strong defensively, then it should make it all the more exciting but we need to attack and ask questions. if we do play to the level we can, meadow lane should be rocking tomorrow despite the cold.
