  1. lets get the show back on the road mr bratwurst @DangerousSausage.
  2. i feel sorry for graham alexander he did well against us, mk dons just seem to feel they are a big club when they have never been. in the game you get what you give, if you cant give time, dont expect an instant return to fighting for promotion once relegated.
  3. very nice sensible changes, which will hopefully make it easier for people. i have no issue but having a tab for all the different feeds does sound like a very useful thing to do. i never knew there was so many or the option to create my own!
  4. i am glad its sorted and its one more thing we have moved past.
  5. i felt very disappointed after such a bright start, its like notts suddenly stopped playing and had never kicked a football at times. the contrast in the play was shocking. mansfield deserve credit for being the better team on the day, had we cause more problems it could have been difficult but when you give the ball away so cheaply you will lose. i think the kop normally does well. against a full jimmy sirrel stand it can be hard tho.
  6. i dont know why anyone would want to own a telsa, other than to show off. they are not very nicely designed and look awful in my opinion. i would pay more insurance to not see them on our roads. its crazy what some people will pay.
  7. they need to give strict sentences to people caught stealing drains, like church roofs and other metals. no doubt the people doing it will melt the metal down so its impossible to trace. its a very reckless thing to do.
  8. its weird that they have hit poor form just like we have. i hope that they are able to avoid trouble, finances in football can be hard.
  9. it was the colchester fans after the game, they were trying to get one of our coaches to fight them. i noticed some of our fans giving their keeper hassle, but he was giving it back. i cant say who started that but it needs to be cut out from our support even if people push buttons.
  10. jimmy spencer was a big loss but there were many reasons why that season did not go to plan. i am glad that hes still playing.
  11. i think he should do well for forest green rovers, hopefully he can spend a few seasons with them.
  12. its good to be back! i am enjoying the speed improvements everything seems lightening fast. i am very thankful for the good work everyone has done in order to get pon back online. i have also been at a loss without the site, i have been waiting for positive news from day one. i am looking forward to see all the regulars back on here.
  13. i think hes 100% correct, i appreciate and love hearing mark stallards comments. i think we just need to work harder in training in defensive situations and work more as a team. every needs to think about their positioning and if someone is marking, ensure that the space is limited. if it means making sure we get players back so be it, we cant keep conceding the amount of goals that we do.
  14. i dont think we need to change anything major, its mostly just focus and team work when defending. we just switch off or make too many wrong calls. aidan stone allowing the first was a major set back, things like that will lower the confidence and its how we respond. i think we had the fight, we attacked well and look good. but colchester knew if they scored, we would take a bit of time to come back with the level of intensity that we can. by which point, we would score and then so would they.
  15. i think his composed interview after the game shows that this time round he's going to give the players a hug, and focus more on the fact we need to work harder in defence. i am confident we can improve in training but it is obvious we need a commander at the back. someone very much like mike edwards.
  16. disappointed but focused on Swindon, if we had played better we may have got something but defensively we need to be much better. proud of our attacking play, jodi jones scoring one of the best goals i have seen away from meadow lane. positives are their and we know the issue.
  17. 5-3, i just dont know what or why we are conceding these slopping goals. their player was not even marked, nobody pressed and i feel for aidan stone because any keeper would struggle with this lack of protection. @Piethagoram mentioned his concerns about the defence and i think hes right. i would say we can be good defensively, but without another strong centre back we may be prone to nodding off like this.
  18. as i said in the facebook group. i think the performance so far is a mix of things, colchester are doing well to keep us quiet and their attacks look very good. they are quick to get into scoring positions. we look like a side that is taking to heart whatever was said after forest green game. kyle cameron is struggling, matt palmer looked like he needed to come off. the things that usually work for us have not today but bostock is on. i think that will make a difference.
  19. yes, i agree with @Joshua. its not so straight forward and despite our league position and squad depth we cannot take anything for granted. i hope we can do whatever is needed to maintain our unbeaten run, yes winning keeps pressure on gillingham, swindon and other teams but we need to go into our next match with our heads high. we need to avoid any set backs, work hard to get the result needed.
  20. i hope for us all in attendance that we can start off brightly and be rewarded with a good result, colchester may up themselves or put their own good display in but we have to have faith in our own strength. it should be a good game and i think the score line will reflect that this is against two good teams. we will have to wait and see if notts can come out better, or if colchester will start to climb the league themselves.
  21. i am off to colchester tomorrow, i am picking up @CliftonMagpie and then @TheSkipper. i have not been to colchester before so i hope its a straight forward drive but i am looking forward to it, having been to all the games so far. i feel it gives me a better understanding of how notts are doing and its impressive how each games atmosphere makes it all the more enjoyable. sunday i am staying at home, my mum and aunt are going out for the day. so, i will find things around the house to do.
  22. hes been a bit quiet in some games but no doubt a very good team player, if its because hes playing in a role that he has not quite adapted to i dont know but he gives his all when he plays. its nice to see how players think, especially when they have setbacks in their career. sam austin still can go further if he continues to work hard, hes become a vital part of our squad.
  23. good write up by colin sissons, i thought he had stopped writing for the left lion. i thought someone else had taken over. i am pleased to see his name in the articles byline.
  24. @DangerousSausage i did not even know he was the leader of the lib dems, i tend not to pay much attention to politics here because of how bad it all. all the parties are a shambles.
  25. it reminds me of coventry but without their support, scunthorpe united sound like they are in a dire position here. i feel sorry for ex players like cal roberts who seemed to be a great summer recruitment. i hope the fans dont suffer to much, but they have players who are assets to other clubs and thats one small glimmer of hope. they just need a new owner which could be difficult to find.
